I got a massage last year, i had a very back and lower back pain. I call in last minute and she give me an appointment. She was late 20 mins, the massage start without even ask what i need. I told her than i need more in my back but she just work a regular swedish massage. Room was very noisy and massage was so so. She gets 2 stars for being pleasant lady. The massage not to par. If you charge over a $100 an hour you have to count with experience and skill to customize your session to the client needs instead of going through the regular routine with respect to the time. That's for entry level massage therapists. Also, your techniques must flow and perception of troubles areas on point. Went in hopeful based on perfect reviews but left disappointed. To say, "Serena gave an excellent massage" is an understatement. She not only released the tension from my back and shoulders, she attacked them like a high-precision machine. This isn't any mass-marketed massage joint with dozens of round-a-clock masseuse on staff. Hers is a professional and personal care unit. Once again I find myself in the odd situation that I give 5 stars on my first visit to a place. I really want to try places more than once to ensure consistency but in this case i will make an exception. Serena is awesome, a true professional, she know her trade and executes it perfectly. I suffered several traumatic injuries during my time in the service and live every day in pain. It sucks but sometimes the pain affects my mobility a bit more than usual. However, Serena is a great masseuse, she worked my back and shoulders until the pain and spasms went away. I hope she stays in business for a long time at her location since it is very convenient for me. I wish I could say I don't have to see her again because my pain has gone away, but I live with pain every day thanks to a few accidents while in the military. I was recently visiting from San Francisco and needed a deep tissue massage. Serena returned my text promptly and fortunately had an opening! 1. Serena is talented! Her deep tissue massage worked all the right spots and left me feeling that deep effect of relaxation. 2. Her technique is on point! I love deep tissue but only when it's the fluid massaging type. Others I have experienced use more short and hard pressing movements. Serena used a light oil and really smoothed out my stuff areas with long deep movements. For me that gives long lasting results that I can feel for weeks after. I was sore the next day and that's a sign of a good massage to me. If you don't like deep tissue just tell her and she will adjust the treatment! I loved the head and neck massage at the end! Blissful! read more
