I'm on my feet a lot for my job and there was one particular day that I REALLY REALLY needed a good reflexology massage. Enter, Therapeutic Mobile Spa. So simple, so genius. On a whim, I called them and asked if they could have someone come ASAP. A masseuse came in an hour. Talk about fast! Especially by Miami standards. You have the option of going to their storefront or have one of their masseuses come to you. There's a marginal fee depending on how far you are from their storefront if you want them to come to your apartment/house. If you want to save yourself a few dollars, you can go to them. They're located somewhere on 57th and Collins in Miami Beach. My masseuse came prepared with her massage table. I put on some classical music of my own and away we went. I was so relaxed, I fell into a deep sleep and woke up with a new set of feet. She was AMAZING. I like a lot of pressure when I get massages and the amount of pressure I got from my masseuse was perfect. She was very nice and you can pay with either credit card or cash. I arrived in town after a redeye and searched for a less expensive alternative to Fontainebleau's hotel spa since my shoulder was killing me. I came across Therapeutic Mobile Spa and immediately called Charity. Note that they don't really pick up the phone (I called 4x before I decided to leave a message) - the best way to schedule an appointment is to leave a voicemail with your request and contact information. Charity called back within 10 minutes. She sent a masseuse over to our hotel room within hours and accommodated 2 of us for 60 minutes each. She focused on my knotted shoulders with a much needed deep tissue massage. I felt one million times better that evening and the following day. After the massage, Charity called to make sure everything went well and finalize the payment. $20 parking fee at Fontainebleau + 15% off each massage (yay Yelp check-in offer!) + tip made for a fantastic experience for a reasonable (and much less expensive) cost. (I felt badly for her; it must be awkward and borderline scary going to someone's home to massage him/her, but she certainly didn't make it feel awkward -- even though our curious cat was annoying. When I was face-down on the massage table, I could see through my very limited line of sight that the cat was darting back and forth constantly.) I got a couple's massage for myself and my girlfriend for her birthday in early September, but I'm just getting a chance to write my review now. Clearly, with my schedule I needed the massage. I booked with Charity about a month before our arrival in Miami and the reservation process was super easy. She kept in contact through email and text to make sure I was checked in and to get my room number. Booking our appointments was very easy and communication was great. Our therapists were waiting at our hotel when we were on our way back from breakfast so their timing was perfect and punctual. Our hotel room was a little tight to fit two tables (no fault of the therapists), but our therapists gladly rearranged the furniture to accommodate us. The rest is all a blur because they massaged me into a euphoric oblivion! If you would have asked me my name, I wouldn't be able to tell you. That's how relaxed I was. I asked for deep tissue, and it was done properly. I was not in pain or sore/bruised like what has happened in the past with less experienced therapists. My girlfriend, got a Swedish massage and loved it as well. Actually, I'm pretty sure she drooled. She would be pissed to know I told you all, but she's never going to see this review anyway. But yeah, you get the point- the massage was so good I was drooling... I mean she was drooling ;) lol. We both agreed that it was probably one of the best if not THE best massage service we had received and we are very big on travelling and spas/treatments! Also, I think it's also important to include the fact that our hotel offers spa services, but they were much pricier and not even private (done near the pool). An in-room, private, affordable, professional, high quality massage- who could ask for more?
