Formerly known as the 'Clean Start Cleansing Miami' establishment, Centner Wellness specializes in many different treatments, such as detox chambers, red infrared light beds, hyperbaric oxygen therapy, colonics, massages, and foot detoxes. The receptionist at the front desk is very personable, friendly, and high energy. She is the definition of what other receptionist should strive to be. She helped me schedule & reschedule appointments, understand billing, and throughly detail what each treatment entailed. The therapists did a good job with the products and I always think it is a good idea to do some holistic treatments every once in a while to keep your body clean and healthy. I believe some of the treatments could be a little more affordable or offer different combo packages. They do offer discounts on packages of three or more on certain treatments. The location is off Biscayne Boulevard in Edgewater and the facility could not feel more clean. The tall windows allow so much light to enter into the establishment which I loved as well. My next treatment will most likely be a massage, but it was pretty interesting to see all the different options and treatments, half of which I've never heard. Cool place to try out. Go with time & patience, as I spent WAY more time there than anticipated. THE PLACE: Located in Miami, parking is tricky. Upon arriving to the area I called to ask if they had parking, but noone picked up. Later on (after I paid for parking), they called me back and advised that you may parkin in the storage parking where it is not covered, but the space was limited from what I was told. There is street parking that you must pay for. Weeks prior to this, I called several times and noone picked up. Team is clearly understaffed. THE SERVICE: I went with the "new client deal" promoted on their website-it provides a variety of services. For the deal of 110, I went with the colonic, yoni steam and foot detox. My first appointment was the colonic and it started 40 mins late, so keep it in mind. The colonic treatment with Liliana was fantastic. Liliana is very knowledgable, and professional and creates a safe space for comfort. Then I had the foot detox, gross to look at but cool nonetheless and added to self-knowledge, but nothing else. Then I had the yoni steam, slightly relaxing but maybe not worth repeating - at least for me. Among the many services they provide, there is a free body scan on a machine I believe that tells you about your body and the areas to work on. If I didn't ask about this, I would've not known. I wanted to try it, but saw very little interest in the person helping me in doing it, and actually completely ignored me when I requested it. So I left. read more

We come down to Clean start whenever we need an infrared sauna or other detox. The staff is very friendly; Brittany is the best and super helpful. We like the cocoon style infrared sauna versus the one you have to sit in, which is what they have. We can have the technician adjust the heat and duration. Usually when we make an appointment it's honored in a timely manner. If you buy a Groupon, you can have them price match as well. read more

Booked an appointment months ago, they cancelled (no apology but rather with attitude) on me and my friend (I got her a colon therapy appointment as a gift) last minute. There was a flood in Miami and i couldn't come because of it and they still took $50 and the other time I wasn't feeling well and they still charged the fee of $50. Literally threw away $100. Well, you lost a long time client that's for sure. I purchased a Groupon for three Infrared sauna sessions. It was my first time trying this. Each time was very nice, the whole staff is lovely. In my last session, Brittany helped out. She was right on time with the sauna being ready, she came right in when I pressed the button- I accidentally pressed it midway through again and she was in there in a second! So attentive to my needs and checked on me at the end. She was by far the best person that had helped me but like mentioned, everyone is so nice! I really like this location. I first was introduced to them through a Groupon for the infrared sauna and what a great decision it was. The first thing that you'll notice about the location is how clean it is. Its one of the cleanest spa locations I have ever been to, its so inviting. I don't even know where to start... how much unprofessionalism and bad customer service of this place disappointment me. I started doing laser with Lexus I paid her $500 cash for six sessions. Lexus was most of the time late to her appointments. She would always reschedule me in different times. Which I am really easy to deal with just if you give me heads up a few days before. Then one time she scheduled me and didn't show up to her appointment. So this lady Ashley who is the owner at least she says so she was kind enough to do my laser that day. I spoke to Ashley about my frustrations and bad customer service of Lexus! Ashley was super sweet professional, I also told her that I wasn't really happy with my results because I still had a lot of hair coming out and this was my fifth session. Mind you I am Eastern European pretty hairless I simply don't have much hair. Ashley assured me that she will take care of me. And I was thinking to myself I finally somebody who is amazing and gives good customer service. I saw Ashley that day and for one more session. She told me that she's going to take care of me. That they are receiving a new candela machine... and that I will only need fee sessions more with the new machine and I'll be good to go. And she said I won't charge you for it . After seeing Ashley 2 times i made the appointment for the third, they call me one day before and tell me Ashley is not in and they will transfer me back to Lexus! NIGHTMARE LEXUS !! Oh hell no!! I texted Ashley and told her I would rather pay her then go back to Lexus. She completely ignored my messages! I called the place three times they told me she was not in. This place has a nice variety of services from facials to foot detox and colon hydrotherapy. It is clean and nicely decorated, they do a good job with the relaxing music and no cell phone signs to ensure you feel calm and relaxed for treatment. There is a book shelf if you want to read about meditation, yoga, beauty, healing and more instead of using your cell phone while you wait. They even have angel cards if you are into that. I was there for a foot detox where you put your feet in water, ions in the foot bath draw toxins out of the body via the feet to allow the bodily systems to perform at their peak. They explain the process and provide flyers with detailed information on what each color means. The water will turn different colors depending on the organ that is getting detoxified, it could get a little nasty but the staff is really professional and would explain the colors and give recommendations at the end (don't worry, I won't post those nasty pictures of the dirty water!) This location is right on Biscayne blvd so look for parking on the smaller streets around, there is usually space behind the building just in front of the church. I've been a member at the John's Creek, Georgia location since August 2019 and I've been pleased with the services I've received and would rate them five stars for that. My one star rating stems from my communication with them requesting to cancel my membership. Due to negative impacts from COVID-19 my company closed operations in April 2020 and I've been unemployed since then and unable to afford the membership. On August 26 (one year into my membership) I requested to cancel my subscription and received this reply, "This is just a reminder. If you cancel your membership your credits go void. It is recommended to use them up before cancelling (while still being an active member) but if you are looking to cancel immediately I can do so as well. Just let me know what you would like to do! Kindly, Clean Start Johns Creek" To summarize my business transactions with them over the last year: * 12 months Clean Start Membership @ $60.00 a month = $720.00 * 12 months Detox Membership @ $5.00 a month - $60.00 * Services I've used under the memberships = $310.00 * Balance of membership credits I've already paid for = $470.00 The bottom line: if I don't pay them $60.00 more I lose $470 of accumulated credits. This feels like a pretty crappy policy, not to mention punitive. I don't have the luxury of paying another month's subscription just to get what I already paid for. This $60 needs to go towards groceries for my family. This is an extremely disappointing experience with a company that says, "At Clean Start Total Body Cleansing we believe it's about people and the planet" - this policy clearly tells me money is more important. I went to use the Float tank today. The water was green. Not a little green but rather completely green. I've used float tanks in many different cities and have never seen a tank that was so poorly sanitized so as to have any color at all, let alone GREEN. I quickly gathered my things and left. DO NOT GET IN A GREEN FLOAT TANK!! "Clarity (or turbidity) The water in your float tanks should be totally clear. If it's cloudy at all, or discolored, that's a sign that something isn't quite right. In a float tank center, measurements of clarity or almost always done by eye with the aid of a bright flash light. In case you were curious, though, precise measurement of clarity is done in terms of turbidity, with an instrument called a turbidimeter (or nephthometer)." read more

This is the first place that I've gone for a colonic with an open system; meaning that a small tube is inserted to let water in and your "release" goes directly into the machine and not the usual small tube that might not get everything. My therapist was Henry, he explained everything and inserted the tube (which was not uncomfortable like the conventional tube inserts) and left me to release on my own. There was soothing music playing and it definitely felt less invasive. I also did their foot detox which removes impurities from your body. They have plenty of supplements for sale, and they offer yoga classes. I highly recommend this place as I am a repeat customer. read more

I went to this place with the knowledge that I would not be reviewing it. TMI for yelp, was my thinking. I know that others feel the same way because when I was looking for a colonics place, Yelp kind of left me hanging. Fortunately some brave souls did post reviews and as usual, pointed me in the right direction. So here's my thinking for finally deciding to write this review, 1.) The whole, take a penny, give a penny situation. 2.) I was impressed by the place and 3.) Although I was initially embarrassed by telling the world I had a colonic, I'm essentially saying that my body is squeaky clean so it should really be the ones who HAVEN'T had one that should be embarrassed! I get to the place nervous as hell. I made the appointment during one of my spontaneous moments and had not really fully thought it through but there's a 24 hour cancellation policy and I made the appointment less that 24 hours before, which basically forced me to go since I am not about the get charged for NOT going somewhere! So I get there... nervous. The place is so clean and calming. There was a yoga class going on and Buddha all over the place. I sat on the couch and thought that despite my nerves, I might actually fall asleep there and how peaceful it must be to work in such a tranquil facility. Lilly introduces herself and explains the procedure. Here are the 2 things I feared the most: The "insertion" and having a stranger sit next to me the whole time. My fears subsided when she told me that I could insert the TINY tube by myself and that she would step outside once the machine was turned on. The whole thing lasted less than an hour and I left feeling great. I'm sure you're like me and think people are nuts when the topic of colonics are brought up (you know, just your typical conversation)... then again, you're reading this review so I guess you're at least considering it.
