Save your time and money, DO NOT GO HERE. This was an absolute joke. The entire first half it felt like the lady was trying to figure out how to work the machine and the rest felt like a waste of time. Nothing about it was intentional. There was often sounds of water but no actual scalp/wash happening. My ears were full of water and soap once the wash started and there was 0 thought to rinse them. Towards the end of she was brushing my hair back and forth like she's washing something vs just brushing through my hair so she didn't fill it with knots. She concluded the service by returning my hair in a birds nest and when I asked if she was going to untangle It before we finished she said she did and anything else I could do myself in the bathroom. The entire thing felt like a scam. Do not go here. If I could give it zero stars I would. I'm leaving now to go get an actual massage, my hair doesn't even smell nice. lol what a joke. read more

What an absolutely magical experience I had at Mood Wellness Spa this weekend. You know the feeling of bliss when you get your hair done and they shampoo your hair? Imagine that feeling for ONE FULL HOUR!! My friend went recently and recommended the In The Mood For Korean Scalp Massage. This service includes: a scalp analysis, deep scalp massage, Gua Sha comb massage, customized mask, steam mist treatment, organic growth-stimulating hair bath, conditioning treatment, and growth scalp treatment. My tech, Catalina was so nice. The scalp analysis is the first thing you start with, and let me tell you mine was quite alarming. I suffer from thinning hair and it was really interesting to see the health of my scalp and have them explain it to me. Now, onto the good stuff. You lay on a heated table and are covered in a blanket. Then they cover your eyes and proceed to start the best scalp massage ever. From what I can remember (because I fell asleep) they use three different tools to massage your scalp as well as give a conditioning treatment. The one thing I found odd was that the treatment doesn't come with a blow dry, I guess because heated tools are not the best for your scalp. However, they do have Shark tools and nice hair products in their bathroom for you to blow dry your hair on your own. The spa is beautiful, and on the smaller side with a private room for massages and then a curtained area for the head massages. My treatment was $150 and I believe worth every penny. My hair still looks amazing two days later! They offer facials and lymphatic massages as well. The salon itself is a bit hard to find, it's on the second floor of the portfolio salon. You'll walk thru the salon and go upstairs to enter the Mood Wellness Spa. It's located on Miracle Mile close to the Carrot Express. While my technician spoke spanish to me, the staff speaks both english and Spanish. You can book the service online, but if you want to book an appointment at the same time as a friend it was super easy to call to get that set up. Lol Mood Wellness Spa promotes itself as a Korean head spa, but it misses the mark on authenticity. They use Chinese tools like the Gua sha comb and mix non-Korean treatments, lacking the deep scalp massage techniques and Korean herbal products that define a real Korean head spa. As a Korean-Latina, I know the difference. Also, what products do they use? Usually, it's cheap from Amazon especially the face masks. Many Miami beauty professionals pay for licenses without proper training, using "K-beauty" and "Korean" mainly as marketing ploys because Korea is known as the gold standard in beauty. Having been in the beauty industry for over 10 years, I can confidently say Miami is behind and not educated on true Korean spa traditions. Also, Miami has less beauty educated people that know trends, Korean culture, and what's trending right now. This is not an authentic Korean head spa. What makes it Korean? I'm literally Korean. Went for the First time today for a 60 minute Korean scalp massage and it was an incredible experience. Camila took care of me and she was amazing. From the moment you enter the spa you feel relaxed. What an amazing experience! First, the place is so charming and relaxing. I loved the peaceful aesthetic. Everything was clean and neutral tone, a great way to start an hour of relaxation. Once you sign in, you are sent to get a scalp reading. This is a little traumatic because it's up and personal. You see everything on your scalp! But it definitely was helpful to know what is going on. The hour scalp massage is glorious. I fell asleep. It was so peaceful. Your hair is scrubbed, messaged, combed all for the entire hour while you are tucked under a warm blanket. I will definitely be going back. Everyone is so helpful. Potentially I got a newbie but Wow. I must have told her like 3-4 times to apply more pressure my tens unit and my Thera gun put more pressure than the massage. It was like she was gently padding me. I went for a massage. Massage requires pressure. If a client ask more than 2 times for more pressure and they do it the same way. They have no idea what they are doing. Also zero work on neck and glutes. She never even had me turn over. Entire time on my stomach. Lastly, instead of her cleaning off the oil with the hot towel. She left it for me to do myself. They need to learn how to properly do a treatment before offering it. My daughter and I both went to get a Korean scalp massage. It was not at all what we expected. They used some machines to massage our scalp and they kept getting caught in our hair, resulting in them having to pull our hair and rip it out. We could tell as they were massaging our heads that all they were doing was matting our hair going in circular motion barely touching the scalp at all. In the end, they left us with tangled hair, giving us a wooden comb which didn't work at de tangling it. We DO NOT recommend this at all. read more

I booked a head massage on Sat August 24th @ 11:45 I was called to change appointment because there was a clitch in the system.  As I arrived I was greeted in Spanish and given a form to complete in Spanish.   In no way shape or form do I look Hispanic.  We proceeded into the room where you are able to see your scalp. We to speak through Google translate. On to the massage.  She was great.  As I was leaving I asked the girl at the front if I get to see my scalp again to see if it looked any different she said NO.  On your Instagram you advertise before and after pictures.   Massage was nice but was disatsifed with everything else.  I will not be recommending to others and I will not be returning .   Wendi Sent from my T-Mobile 5G Device read more
