Each time you arrive, you're expected to come 15 minutes early to complete a lengthy questionnaire on a tablet and then sit through another attempt to convince you to sign up for a membership. After years of saying no, it becomes exhausting. Sometimes all you want is to enjoy your massage, pay, and leave without feeling pressured. Another ongoing issue has been communication. During several visits, there were language barriers that made it difficult to communicate my preferences clearly. On two different occasions, I specifically asked the massage therapist not to work on my neck or head and to use light pressure. Those requests were ignored, and I ended up with bruising the following day. That should never happen when a client has clearly communicated their comfort level. One experience was especially disappointing. Before I lost weight, a massage therapist made comments about my size and my wide back, expressing frustration about working on me. I found those remarks unprofessional, insensitive, and completely unacceptable. No client should ever feel judged or embarrassed while receiving a service that's supposed to promote relaxation and well-being. The final straw came yesterday. I received a confirmation call for my 1:00 p.m. appointment and was informed that I now had to pay a deposit--something I had never been asked to do before. Policies can change, and that's understandable, but the representative's attitude during the call was so rude and dismissive that I canceled my appointment on the spot. Instead, I tried a massage studio in Doral, where I received a better massage at a lower price from a therapist who was attentive, skilled, and respectful. The difference in professionalism and customer care was remarkable. After years of giving Massage Envy multiple chances, I've decided I won't be returning. There are too many other businesses that prioritize listening to their clients and providing a positive experience.

I scheduled with the masseuse on the day of my appointment and also later texted the owner with the date and the coupon for my mom's booking. I thought everything was set days prior. However, when my mother arrived at the spa for her appointment, she was informed that the booking had not been confirmed according to the owner. Also, she was told that the masseuse and anyone else available were at a private event and could not able to accommodate her that day. The owner claimed she had called me to re-confirm, but I had not received a single text message or call. Every other buisness has an automated text message to confirm and contacts their clients multiple times to ensure the appointment is honored. They even have a cancellation fee to ensure this. My assumption is that the owner didn't bother to follow up since the coupon was about to expire that month and wasn't full price, so she didnt insist. It was my mom's birthday week on top of it, so what could have been a great experience was unfortunately ruined. I will absolutely not be returning or recommending this establishment in the future to anyone and hope that the owner works on improving her communication and business practices to ensure this does not happen to anyone else.

During which, the ladies brought me a tray of hot water, tea packets with honey and a snack. The service was amazing, so refreshing and I felt the warmth of hospitality from the ladies. My massage was immaculate, from the masseuse to the room to heated eye cloths. After my massage, had the pleasure of speaking with Mercedes and her husband (owners of the beautiful spa) which was a great pleasure. I recommended people to Andres and bought gifts cards for people to see him. I've been asking for almost 2 months where he is and everyone was playing crazy. Today I hear there was some corporate decision made, and he was let go. That is absolutely unbelievable he is an amazing person and one of the best massage therapist I've had. I'm not sure when the corporate structure took over but over the past few years everything seems to have declined. The ambience (there really isn't any anymore) and the maintenance of the place is not the same. The recent and continuous corporate changes have changed the entire operation. The the worst part is that everything seems to boil down to making money . They now have a system for leaving tips for the massage therapist that requires the customer to pay a fee to leave the tip. That seems insane to me. The straw that broke the camel's back for me was that for almost 20 years they've called the day before to confirm appointments. I had an appointment scheduled and had not noticed, and did not receive a call. When they called me at the time of the appointment, they told me that the policy had changed and that corporate had directed that the front desk was no longer to make those calls. You can honest get a better massage at these chair massage places in the mall for a lot cheaper.
