I waited to write this review until it had been at least a week since my service so I could leave an accurate review in whole. I was impressed beyond belief with my visit to this location last Friday. I was serviced by Lanora (who I HIGHLY recommend you book with!). She was EXTREMELY educated, giving me the reasons behind each product she used and giving a lot of preventative care tips. She was THOROUGH and made sure to get every single hair (even the stubborn ones she ended up tweezing). I was left looking like a naked mole rat (which was indeed the goal ;) after my full Brazilian AND V-facial. If u haven't tried the V-facial yet, I definitely recommend that as well. Great benefits, especially if u have a darker lower region. My results lasted a week before I saw my first little hair pop through (which with regular waxing I get after 3-4 days!) so I would say sugaring gives u results that last almost twice as long (IMO). I have gone to Sugaring NYC for years so trust me when I say that I know what I'm talking about. I have been booked for appointments on numerous occasions that were canceled spontaneously - which of course completely spoils my plans. I've had to scramble before vacations to make up for this. I continued to go because I love my tech. Most recently, I was booked for another appointment that was canceled. I am in the hardest time of my life and needed this moment of self-care and once again, I have been disappointed. I called and they were not able to resolve the issue. I will not be returning. Everyone drops the ball - the goal is to support companies that pick it back up. Upon this event, I thought back and realized they never have done any repair with these incidents and I continued to spend my money there. Please. I was super nervous and hesitant ,but Kathy assured me that it would be okay ,and made the whole process super smooth and made me feel so comfortable and at ease. This was my first time having a lash lift done because I'm an avid wearer of individuals and my own lashes are pathetic but Jessica convinced me to have it done in between lash appointments and I'm so glad I listened. I had a sugaring session this AM, Fatma, was my Sugarista. She was super sweet and funny_I appreciated that a lot because waxing can be an intimidating experience and made me feel so comfortable the whole time. The place is beautiful and girly (everything is pink). The receptionist was very nice as well and helped me through the check-in and checkout process. I was seen at my appointment with no wait time. Her care and ability were extraordinary, she knew exactly what I wanted and her attitude was very humble and compassionate, she really went whole 10 yards for my satisfaction and comfort, her professionalism really shows and this company definetely does not have just a cosmetologist but an asset. I had a great experience here. I've always preferred sugaring to hard wax and was happy to find this studio was close to me after moving. Nathalie was great! so so sweet and made great conversation the whole time. I usually don't like talking during my appointments so I can really mentally prepare for the pain lol it had also been 2 months since my last wax so I was super nervous but the convo was light and distracting and we got through the appointment seamlessly.
