This is THE best Thai restaurant I have ever eaten at. I am not saying this lightly. I lived in Vancouver Canada for two years where I got into Thai food and then in Toronto for six years with dozens of Thai restaurants and in Washington DC for the last 10 years. Visited with a group of about 20 people. Food was delicious especially for someone who is incredibly picky! The drunken noodles were so good and the staff was friendly and interacted with us. The owner was probably happy about this large group as she took group pictures of us!! I was told that their Thai food is bomb so we all went from NYC to Maryland for a wedding and we came here. One photo you see right away on the website is the Beef Salad. I ordered it and it was very flavorful. I had the Green Tea Gelato & Matcha Green Tea Crème Brûlée for dessert. Yum. My friend had some kind of roll that she loved. And for dessert, she had the Trio Sorbet (Raspberry, Mango and Peach), a scoop of each served in separate dishes. She enjoyed that as well. I am a traveler who relies a lot on Yelp to stay out of sad hotel restaurants. If you are too, this is a nice stop. Spartan decor in a strip mall, but food, service and price all good. Garden rolls fresh, crisp and light with a tasty peanut sauce. Yellow curry v. nice, I finished it to the last drop. We got outstanding takeout from here last night. Pad Thai was very good. Big portion - enough to serve one adult and two kids ages 11 & 4. Lots of peanuts and sprouts (which I liked) but they were on the ends making it easy to serve the kids from the "uncontaminated" entree in the middle. Other adults got the yellow curry and Pad Ka Prao which were spiced to their preference and very good. Also enjoyed the vegetable spring rolls. Food stayed hot for half hour/45 min drive to our destination but wasn't over packaged. Definitely eating from here again! The food here is absolutely delicious!!!! Usually always on point but one day my fiance and I walked in to sit for lunch. Mind you there are maybe 10 tables in the restaurant. After sitting and talking for about 10 mins we noticed about 4 other groups came into the restaurant and had been seated like us but had drinks and had already ordered. So we sat a little longer, and the parties that came in after us had already started to receive their food. We then decided to leave, but not before I spoke with management, whom ever that was. I was completely livid about what had happened it was as if we weren't there, and as we left, I was even more angry because I realized we were the ONLY people of color in this establishment and I couldn't help but wonder if that had a part to play in the lack of service we received!?!?!?!?! I lived in Seattle for years, so I know what great Thai food tastes like and I suppose I've become picky. Until today, the Thai food I've had in the Frederick area has been.... not good to say the least. I stopped by here after work today for dinner solely because it's in the same building as my bank, and I needed to deposit my paycheck. The location is convenient. The outside of the building is nondescript and the inside is plain but clean. I was happy to see that the very sizable menu includes pho (which is Vietnamese, not Thai), but I didn't choose to order it because it is described as coming with "chicken, pork, or meatball". Beef is $2 extra and one cannot select from the different cuts of beef as is the norm with pho. So, I decided to order red curry beef. I'm glad I did. The vegetables included in this dish at My Thai are red and green peppers, bamboo, Thai basil, and eggplant. I don't think I've had red curry with eggplant before, and I was pleasantly surprised to find that this was actually my favorite veggie in the dish. It was cooked to be very tender, and the flavor married well with the coconut curry sauce. The sauce was described on the menu as a two chili pepper spice level, and I would say this is accurate. The chili made it nice and spicy without overpowering the other flavors in the dish. The waitress also brought a condiment rack with four different chili peppers/spice mixes, but I found that the dish was spicy enough on its own. When i cook curry for myself, I leave out the sugar entirely. My curry only has a mild sweetness that comes from the red pepper and coconut. But it's common for red curry in restaurants to have sugar added. To my personal taste, this red curry may have even been a bit sweeter than average. That and the fact that the meat was a little big tough were the only negatives to this dish. The waitress was pleasant and I have no complaints about the service. I'll be coming back here for sure. I'm looking forward to trying other things on their menu. read more

Good solid Thai restaurant. Nothing particularly out of the ordinary, but if you're a fan of traditional storefront Thai restaurants, you can't do much better. Typical menu that you'd expect -- but that was just what the doctor ordered. Solid and well-seasoned pad thai and some of the best drunken noodles I had had in a long time. I love their spicy basil chicken here. It was spicier than the same dish at Sumittra. I like that I can order delivery. The service is very slow for no apparent reason. We joked hat the servers were also the cooks. I personally find the food to be flavorful but the service is lacking. although one time my kids were sleeping in the car and I ordered to go food. they brought it out to my car and took my credit card inside to run it. The delivery was fast and the driver was polite. The food was still warm when it arrived and looked appetizing. Although they seem to REALLY like peanut butter as it was in both dishes. Mine tasted like it was just soy sauce and peanut butter mixed and lazily poured over frozen broccoli florets and chicken. While not bad and not the worst thing I have ever eaten, there are much better places in Frederick to get Thai food. Overall if this is your jam, more power to ya! The service for lunch is very good and the restaurant is always at least 3/4 full with a fair amount of take out orders being picked up. Above average Thai restaurant with a nice staff. We had our quarterly "sisters" lunch there last Saturday and we were asked by the waitress to keep it down because other customers had complained we were too loud. There were only 3 of us and yes we may have been laughing a bit too loud but we were not being vulgar or using obscenities - just laughing at silliness in our every day lives. So, if you want to enjoy a nice quiet meal then this is your restaurant - just don't laugh too loud. read more

I got the vegetarian Pad Thai for my friend, and it was decent - HUGE amount of food for the $. I got the Panang Curry, my favorite (try it!!) and it was great. Prices were good, service was great. This was some of the worst Thai I've ever had. We ordered the Pad Thai, Crab Meat Fried Rice, Lard Na (Thai Gravy Noodles), and Green Curry Fried Rice. None of these offerings was anything that couldn't have been bested by a novice-to-intermediate home cook. Everything was over-sweet, but the Lard Na, which we'll get back to momentarily, scored particularly high in the over-sweet category. The Pad Thai consisted of exceptionally dry, thin rice (I'm guessing) noodles topped with an unappetizing-looking dusting of something (likely crushed peanuts, dust and all), which added to the dryness. The Crab Meat Fried Rice was covered with a hack-job of a scrambled egg, which closely resembled chopped boiled eggs, into which was hidden fish food-like flecks of crab meat. I'd said that the Lard Na was sweet. It was so. No amount of lime juice, soy sauce, fish sauce, or Sriracha nor any combination thereof could rescue the taste of the Lard Na, and the noodles...well, "they" were stuffed into a small container for transport, so "they" became 1 inseparable ball of pasta. Oh, and did I mention that the Lard Na gave my daughter the runs? Lastly, there was the Green Curry Fried Rice, to which was added chicken that I didn't order. But since we're talking about the chicken--it sat unassuming in the midst of the rice adding neither form nor substance, doing nothing, in fact, other than depriving me of a few more bucks that I hadn't planned on spending. To cap all of this wonderfulness off, we were hit with a rather hefty bill: nearly $90, including an $11 Doordash service fee! I cannot, in good conscience, recommend this place to anyone, not even my worst enemies. read more

Husband and I really enjoyed our meal here. He had the green sauce curry and I had the red. Plenty of vegetable and protein combinations. I had the tofu and he had shrimp. The sauce on both was delicious. We also enjoyed the vegetable springs rolls we had for starters. Service was very good and our waitress was friendly and attentive. came here for a private event, so it was buffet line of good stuff. the restaurant itself seem small, our party of ~35 filled the whole place. the staff was very friendly and accommodating. overall a great solid thai food experience! i have to say, i loved their pad thai, they did a great job, probably one of my favorite, if not the best, pad thai i've had. they had place the sprouts, peanuts, and lime on the side for the buffet line, but when i compiled it together on my plate, i couldn't stop eating it! i shamelessly went back for thirds i think =P. i also loved their salad (nom tok i think?), that spicy tang had a perfect ratio for one to crave for more, and it felt heatlhy and light! Recently placed an order on Uber eats I work at a busy office near by and was told this place was great. However...my order was placed at 11:30 with a 25 minute arrival. Two minutes before the order was to arrive the order was canceled with no explanation. At this point I wasn't upset just wanted to figure out if they were open. When I called I talked to a lady named Debby. I said hi I placed an order on Uber eats and it was canceled. Before I could say anything else Debby informed me she was alone and she couldn't get the order we placed and her customers that are there at the restaurant were "more important than anything else" I have worked in customer service for more than 20 years and would never in life say someone else was more important. I have never tried the food there and after this experience I will never attempt to. The order was over $100. They apparently don't care about word of mouth or proper customer service. If you can't fulfill an order advance notice and a genuine apology would have been great. In the future maybe you should figure out a schedule to accommodate such a "great thai place" I will be in contact with the owner when she/he gets back to let them know how new customers are treated. read more
