From the get go, Jesse was extremely responsive and had great communication when I was getting quotes. Jesse sent me links to educate me on the pros and cons of cellulose insulation vs fiberglass blown in, which was great because I am one of those shoppers who does a lot of research on what I am purchasing. Pricing was straight forward and was the lower priced bid for a better product. The install team of Corry and Logan were also great. Troy, Dallas and Skyler, showed up on time ready to jump on the job, all while being super respectful by addressing my wife and I as "Sir and Ma'am the entire time. I contacted 3 companies to remove disgusting rat infested insulation on a recent real estate purchase, rodent proof the attic and install new insulation. Jesse examined my attic last year but I wasn't ready to have the work done. I did have him (through one of his subcontractors) insulate the exterior walls of my house at the time, and was pleased with the results and price. I called him recently and we discussed various options to improve the attic insulation (house built in 1970). I asked him about a radiant barrier since I saw other companies offering that. He said he could install that (would help in the hot weather) in addition to adding new blown-in insulation to the old sparse blown-in insulation, but he didn't try to push the radiant barrier on me. He took his time answering the many questions I had. I asked him to do both, since we've been having hotter summers and colder winters. He gave me a great package price (lower than other estimates I received) and his crew (Corey and Dallas) did the work today. They applied as much insulation and barrier material as possible - difficult since the attic is more like a crawlspace, not much room to maneuver - plus were polite and cleaned the hallways up afterward. When I was ready to pay, he shocked me by saying his crew used less material than he had estimated, and he discounted the final price accordingly. Seeing the positive reviews on Yelp, I called Jesse last week to connect with him and find out about his services. He let me know how he is different than a traditional insulation provider, who are incentivized to sell you. His prices are straight forward and as others have mentioned, he is honest. Jesse even encouraged me to call other places to get an estimate but given my distaste for being sold, I didn't want to waste my time. Jesse and I communicated via text and was able to coordinate a time for him to come to the property to take a peek at the attic and provide an estimate. He came on time, brought his own ladder and was able to access the attic on the 2nd floor. He surveyed and saw that 1) there was no rodent activity and 2) the home builders had done a good job insulating the attic space. So there was nothing more he could do. We then chatted about whether keeping heat or cold was the bigger problem. Keeping the house cool was the more difficult task since the 2nd floor can get pretty hot during the summer months. He recommended solar film tinting to help reduce the impact of the sun hitting our windows. He also suggested blackout curtains as another cost effective option that I could do myself. Really appreciated his insight and going above and beyond. Overall, Jesse was easy to work with and a true professional by giving me his honest and professional recommendation.
