I agree with all the positive reviews on here, from the quote phrase to completion, everything was flawless. Jesse was very responsive, answered all questions I had and ensured that his price was firm. Overall, pricing was much less than Corporate companies trying to upsell you with extras.. If I brought them up, I was given information and fair prices if I chose to have those things done. The insulation removal crew showed up on time, explained their process, prepped the area, and got to work. They gave me progress updates throughout the day and did a great job cleaning out the attic. The next day was just as smooth, the Crew showed up answered questions, explained the process, showed me progress and got to work. These 2 guys as well as the 3 that came in day 1 went above and beyond to keep me informed, keep the house and work areas clean and returned to their original state. I had some ducts replaced and some repaired, all which I was shown pictures of and walked through their process. I highly recommend My Isulation Guy. They did an excellent job from start to finish. l

Friendly, easy go work with, and good systems. Already had a house with no insulation so they didn't ahve to clean anything. Just called him and texted him some questions and pictures. Provided an accurate quote. The two guys came in, looked around and one guy stayed in the truck to load the machines, and the other guy was in the attic blowing. about 2 hours for 1,000 sf. The house did get a tad dusty from the dust fibers coming down the recessed light holes, but hopefully that'll stop. R38 is required for ceiling code now which means you need about 11". They say they blow 11.5" but who knows. It will be VERY hard to work on the house later on with blow in but we had all new electrical, recessed cans, plumbing etc so hopefully we dont need to do anything in the attic for 30 years. Once done, we just electronically paid him(i forget how). read more

After cutting down a large tree, I became aware of a small area that didn't receive as much insulation as other parts of the wall; it was a structural issue and had nothing to do with the crew that did the work. Jesse was the second person we reached out for a quote to have insulation and old ducts removed, and new ones installed. Let me start with the first BIG company. They sent a young guy out to inspect our attic. He told us he had "bad news" and that EVERYTHING needed to be replaced. His estimate was around 15k which included clean up, insulation removal, duct removal, and the installation of ducts and insulation. My husband and I were a bit shocked by the price, but we couldn't run our AC because the ducts were old, some not even connected, and there use to be a big rodent problem, so the attic smelled of rat urine and there was rat feces everywhere. I contacted Jesse, who is the owner of his business, and he responded fairly quickly to request for a quote, and he didn't need to come out for the consult either. Oh and his quote was a fraction of the cost of what the big company quoted us. Jesse explained the type of insulation he uses, duct material, something the big company never explained. Now, something I always get nervous about, especially after having a lot of work done to our house, is someone commiting to the schedule. I've had bad experiences where companies say they will be here, and never show, or show up late in the day without ever contacting me. Because of this, I kept reaching out to Jesse to make sure he was aware of his commitment, which was unfair to him, but again, I've had bad experiences with other companies in the past. The day of the project, Jesse texted and gave me an ETA, which other companies do not usually do, and instead, make you wait for hours with no updates. His crew showed up early and got straight to work. Jesse showed up afterwards and was there all day. Jesse sent me photos of the progress with the attic via text. He even texted to tell me that half the ducts were good, so he knocked off a good chunk of his already fair quote. I was really surprised because he could have been dishonest, like the first company we contacted and said all the ducts needed to go, but instead, he chose to be honest. His honesty really shows how good a person he is, and I could tell he was really proud of the work that he and his crew did. The next day, Jesse texted me the ETA, his crew Matt and 2 other crew members arrived on time. They came to airseal the attic and blow in the insulation. Matt was so polite! I loved the "Yes, ma'am", "no ma'am". He was just so courteous and a hard worker, all if them are. One of the ceiling lights stopped working, and Matt was kind enough to check to see if maybe something became unplugged while the attic was being cleaned. Sure enough, something did become unplugged, so Matt plugged it back in and the light worked again. They finished the job pretty quickly and Matt gave us tips on how to make a new attic access door, since ours was pretty beaten up from over the years. A 3 day job was actually 2 days, and we now have a very clean, disinfected attic with new insulation. Oh, and Jesse sealed the hole from the garage, which he thinks is how the rats came in. I will say that the project was MESSY. It turns out that the insulation we originally had, was blown in, so they had to bag it up and bring it out of the house. They did their best to contain the dust, but fine dust did get to parts of the living room. It wasn't their fault, but if you're like me and like a really clean home, definitely put up some kind of barrier up. Again, not their fault, and please don't let it deter you from reaching out to them. It was just fine dust that went away with a wipe of a wet cloth. Any big project is going to leave a little mess. Yes, I spent a few hours cleaning my house (I'm a clean freak), be it was so worth it! If there had been issues, I think I would have been cursing the entire time I was cleaning. We're just so happy to get to use our AC! The insulation is supposed to keep the house cool, and we're looking forward to a comfortable Summer. Please contact Jesse! These guys just finished replacing my insulation in my attic, and rodent proofed it. We just closed on our home a few weeks ago, upon the inspection it came back that there were rodent droppings in the attic. I was freaking out, as we were so set on this home. My husband and I just bought a house in need of some pretty intense electrical upgrades, which required the electricians to get up into the attic -- so we needed the old insulation up there removed on extremely short notice. I called two other companies trying to set something up, and both of them essentially blew me off and wouldn't work with me to get the clean-out done quickly in any way. I contacted My Insulation Guy pretty desperately as a last resort, and Jesse got back to me immediately. He was willing to waive an in-person inspection and just let me send him pictures of the attic and some rough measurements of the space, which I appreciated immensely because our new house is an hour away from our current place and an in-person inspection was going to be a pretty difficult thing to swing. I agreed to the quote, and Jesse's team cleaned out the attic on a Sunday morning for an extremely reasonable overtime charge per square foot. When the work was done he sent me photos of the cleaned-out space and the difference is night and day. Hi, Matt and Logan just finished insulating our attic, the before and after photos are amazing! There was barely any up there and one room had none. We live in a 1936 home and when we bought it 3 years ago, we assumed there was plenty up there, right? So wrong. Basically, every home owner should assume there is little to none. I bought a home a few years ago and realized I had a small rodent issue. I had the outside of the house rodent-proofed, but it was clear that the activity in the attic had left it's mark. This year, as I installed a new HVAC system and ducting, I wanted to clean the attic up and put in new insulation. I called Jesse and got a quick quote that was very reasonable. I had them come out and they quickly, courteously and professionally cleaned out the attic of the old insulation. After this they rodent-proofed any other areas of concern. Finally they vacuumed and sanitized the space. I got photos of everything they did and they were super transparent about everything they were seeing and doing. They cleaned up behind themselves as they finished up and it was as if they were never there. The next day my HVAC system, new attic furnace, air handler and ducting were installed. My installer loved how clean the attic was. The next day, Jesse's team came back out and blew in the new insulation. It is no exaggeration to say my home's environment is 100% better than before. Hands down, this is the most pleased I've been with any team that has worked on my house. To begin with, Jesse(owner) made it incredibly easy to get started--he provided a detailed and reasonable quote over text without any pressure or hard sales tactics. On the day of the job, Matt and Kevin arrived right on time and got straight to work. They went above and beyond to identify and fix problems we didn't even know we had. Not only did they clean up some subpar work left behind by a previous pest company, they also found holes that were overlooked and even patched a hole in the wall behind our oven which was left by some shoddy work from a Lowes contractor (this wasn't even related to the attic or a part of the official job). They even informed us that our rain gutters weren't draining properly (providing water for rats and breeding ground for mosquitos). Hire a licensed contractor! The only DIY part about attic insulation is holding the hose while stuff shoots out everywhere. And if I did it, would be 3' deep in some parts and 3" in others. Jessie's crew sealed the attic floor--you can't just throw insulation over gaps--and installed baffles so the attic can breath. I went from R 0.5 to R 38 faster than you can say "hey My Insulation Guy!" The fellows were smart, worked fast, respectful of the house, and explained everything. They even walked around the outside to check for gaps where insultation could pour out or little chefs could crawl in. Check your contractor's license on the CSLB website. Yelp shows it verified but good to double check. It's that important. read more

Hey folks, I was in need of an attic restore. Prior estimates were ridiculous with many reviews being suspect. I kept researching and came across "My Insulation Guy." I read all of their reviews for requested service going back 6yrs. Only review with less stars came from someone who said he called and could not reach anyone. The person lived in an area of CA..not serviced by this company. Strange everyone else reached the contractor, Jesse Cota. I called & made contact with Jesse right away and discussed my attic situation.. Not only was the ph contact prompt, but the conversation, interaction was kind, courteous & professional. The contact absolutely matched 6yrs of review comments I read on this company's customer service.. After his research and review of my home situation and home square footage, Jesse sent me an estimate, agreed upon date of service and contract agreement promptly. Jesse checked to ensure I was agreeable to the service he was providing and the estimated price, which was fabulous, for my service requested. There was no push or pressure from the contractor. Service discussed was reflected in the contract when I reviews it.. no changes, up charges, or tricky language. My service was completed by two employees from My Insulation Guy. A couple of young guys, Corey with his colorful tattoos and piercings & a tall young guy named Dallas. Not only were they timely when showing up for service but were professional, courteous , funny while consistently completing the work. They worked very well together & took precautions to ensure carpets were covered and protections in place to prevent debris from impacting furniture etc. The guys took pictures of the before and after service condition of the attic and these were shared with me & provided to me at end of service. The service included rodent sealing measures. They ensured ducts were in tact and were flowing air from AC to necessary areas and thru vents in each room. They provide a cellulose Fire Retardant) Attic insulation. The contractor sent videos for my viewing prior to service. The videos demonstrated the difference between their insulation vs fiberglass etc. so you understand what your getting in the service. Cody and Dallas took great measures to step me thru each stage of service so I was aware of what they were doing. Finally, we did a walk thru and checked vent airflow in rooms, ensured exhaust fans and light were all in working order. They made suggestions for my AC servicing so that I receive maximum conditions with my airflow..they even suggested I should see some reduction in my summer bill as the AC would not have to work as hard. Honestly, my air conditioner was so cold it didn't seem a service was needed when they finished their work. The quality to value was excellent. I would recommend and will be recommending My Insulation Guy to others and will call upon them if ever needed again. I am thankful that I found a company that cut out the middle man markups and was fair and honest. I called My Insulation Guy for a quote to add insulation to our attic. Jesse was no nonsense and provided an extremely competitive quote based on the square footage of our home. There were no requests for a home inspection, no attempts to up-sell any additional services and he even took time after hours to address all my questions and concerns. Cory and Troy arrived a few days later to add the insulation. They were friendly, efficient and most importantly, meticulous. They sealed off the work area and made sure everything was spotless after the work was complete. This was important as the attic access is inside my children's bedroom. Rock Stars! Jesse and the rest of the team were fantastic to work with. Easy, no-nonsense quote, great pricing and excellent communication. The crews showed up on time and were professional and thorough. When they left for the day it was like they were never here - which is pretty impressive when you consider the stuff they're removing and installing! Jesse gets customer service and so do his field crews. During cleanout, there was some minor accidental damage to the ceiling drywall. Skyler came down immediately, took ownership, and assured me that they would make it right ASAP. Jesse followed up with a call about 15 minutes after I spoke with Skyler about the damage. 30 minutes later he texted confirmation that the drywaller would be here first thing in the morning following install.
