While working in the attic, they discovered a major fire hazard left behind from a previous rodent-proofing job that could have easily caused a house fire. I reached out to my insulation guy about adding blow in cellulose insulation above my garage. The space had been sealed off by the builder, but we had recently opened up a hole in the ceiling to run electrical. Since it was already opened up, we figured it made sense to insulate the area before closing everything back up. The access point was smaller than a normal attic opening, so I was a little concerned about whether they would even be able to get in there and do the work. He spent 30 minutes getting a better understanding of my needs and educating me on my options. This crew did an amazing job adding cellulose to my attic. My high vaulted ceilings cause a lot of heat to be transferred despite having central air the house gets hot. They were extremely accommodating when I was running late after dropping off friends at the airport. Both young men, Corry and Kevin, were very polite and friendly. Corry explained what they were going to do, they protected my recessed lighting in the attic and checked the air conditioning ducts, they found one was of the ducts had come apart and repaired it before blowing the insulation in the attic. They laid plastic down in the hallway and taped up plastic on the wall leading up to the attic. When the job was completed, they cleaned up after themselves.
