Where to start...the beginning? Ok. Jesse was referred by trusted friend. I'm very picky and skeptical so I put Jesse through the wringer with my questions. He entertained all my ideas, questions and did not ever huff about it. Bottom line, when I was satisfied enough I went forward. I won't bore your with the details of what I did and why, but the services rendered are worth mentioning. Also, DO YOUR OWN RESEARCH for peace of mind. Jesse is up front and trustworthy in my opinion. He's not a salesman and I found that out when I spoke to him. He is taking care of processing the rebate (which I have never had any luck doing) so I hope it goes better for him than for me. I had walls and attic done with the blown in cellulose. They were done about a month apart at my request. MARK - you are amazingly efficient and I could not say enough about you, except we need more people who work like you. Personally, I think he might be a cyborg which would be pretty cool and explain his non-stop work ethic (and what I think was an charging outlet in his neck... I'm not positive about that though.) Give this man a raise... whatever he is! The work was completed on time and as discussed. So far, I feel great about the choice I made and with summer coming this week, the real tests are about to begin. I'm not worried though. I have already referred one person who is going forward and you better believe I will continue to do so. This is not inexpensive, however extremely worthwhile home upgrade by any means (but is anything worthwhile really ever cheap?) and when you decide to do this one, you want a company that has your best interest in mind, while providing you with the right feedback and peace of mind. We had just purchased our home in San Juan Capistrano and after a ton of work had been done we had to do a little drywall patch and found out that the entire house was not insulated! I can't say enough good things about these guys! And I don't throw around flattery, but, I do reward a strong work ethic and honest and integral service. Jesse was willing to begin quoting over yelp messaging - NO other company or dealer would do so. Jesse listened to my concerns and the goals I had for the project. Once we had a price range, I knew he was someone I would consider working with - he requested to come and look at the job and actually told me I needed LESS than I thought I did. YES, he did NOT upsell me - he told me his honest opinion. He was on time for the site review and he and Mark were absolutely on time and totally prepared to do the work on the day of the job. Anyone looking for an insulation installer Guardian is the company for you. We moved into a new build one story home, unfortunately the garage ceiling and walls were not insulated. According to current code the garage is not a living area and does not have to insulated. With our hot summers the garage was like an oven. I contacted Guardian and spoke to Brian and immediately the quote given was very reasonable. His crew came the next morning! Description of work: my home needed attic insulation as it was never installed when the house was built so needed to have it installed asap prior to getting any hotter. I live in the inland empire which if you are not aware of gets really really hot. So I have to run the ac all the time. I have been pricing insulation from different companies and different sites comparing prices for different types of insulation as well as blown in vs placed matting. I was also looking for reliability, quality and price. So after searching home adviser, angies list and yelp decided to go with Guardian insulation. After discussing with Jesse we understood that pricing is different from OC vs. IE and was able to get a fantastic deal priced per the square foot for R-38 blown in cellulose my home is 1300 sq feet and even now I feel the difference. I used Guardian last August (2016) for blow in insulation on my exterior walls. I was told that it would lower the temperature of my home to about 75 degrees in the summer. I haven't had this happen yet. My interior walks still get very warm and my house does not seem much cooler. They did a clean job on the patch work and the paint match was great. I am very careful and selective when choosing a contractor to do work for me especially, when the work itself is in an area that isn't too visible. For those dishonest contractors that like to capitalize on this, they will tell you one thing and then do the bait and switch on you because they know you the customer may or may not check their work or the product itself. I am so glad that I called Guardian and worked with Jesse. From the first phone call and lengthy conversation we had, it was quite obvious he cared about his customers, the work his crew performed, and the review itself. In our day and hour, a lot of contractors live and die by the reviews they get on Yelp. I made it no secret to Jesse that I found his company on Yelp and read the many good reviews. I also spoke to him about the one review I read that wasn't good. He took the time to explain the situation to me and also explained what he did to go out of his way to satisfy the customer even though, he knew it may not change this customer's view. I took this as pure honesty and transparency which, is what I hope for and rely on for all of the remodeling projects I have done for my homes or for the company I work for. I simply focused on all of the good reviews and knew the "1" less than stellar review didn't truly define Guardian's reputation or their quality of work. I figured this one customer is the type that can't be made happy no matter what the contractor does to satisfy them. Anyway, I chose to hire Guardian because I believed this was an honest company and because I believed that Jesse was an honest man who truly cared about his customers and the work itself. Regarding my project, we fully gutted and remodeled our 1910 built home with 1700 square feet of living area. The house had no insulation whatsoever and we hired Guardian for this scope. For the exterior walls, they drilled and filled with R13, patched the clapboard siding and sanded the patches to be paint ready. For the attic, they blew in R38 cellulose and for the old add-on areas with no attic access, they drilled the ceiling areas and filled the cavity with R30. In a sloped ceiling area where R30 was required by code, Jesse took the time to help come up with a solution and even took the time to search on craigslist to see if anyone had the particular product we needed. He did all of this even though his company wasn't going to do the work! This particular area is a very small area of about 70 square feet and the cavity spacing was at most 4-1/2" in height and R30/R38 requires around 9" of spacing. After a lot of research, I found a distributor but they wouldn't sell to the end-user but only to contractors. I called Jesse and he made the purchase for me and allowed me to reimburse him. This is what you call going the extra mile. Jesse even saved me quite a bit of money when it came to insulating the crawl space with R19 or the interior walls with R13. He basically said, don't waste your money because it wasn't beneficial and I wouldn't recoup the costs. Most contractors would say, "SURE" let's do it only because it's more profit for them. Jesse saved me more money by recommending a good window installation company. He only recommended them because he knew they were a good honest, reputable, and affordable company. The previous window company I was working with turned out to be dishonest and not very transparent. Pun intended... All of the work Guardian did was clean, and of high quality because I went and checked personally myself, and the price was reasonable. Jesse even went out of his way and helped me get the rebates going which was a huge help! Jesse is very conscientious and he treats his customer's money and their projects as if it were his own. It is quite rare to find someone like this these days and trust me, I have been working with contractors for nearly 30 years in the line of work I do. I am proud to say that I have some of the same contractors that I have worked with for 25 years. This is because they have the same values as Jesse and I plan on and hope to use Jesse and his company for as long as I possibly can and will definitely pass his name on to whoever may need his services. read more

Brian at Guardian insulation company was very responsive. His team showed up as scheduled and completed the work in the time quoted. We had blown in insulation installed in the our attic and walls. Their claim to patch all of the holes in our exterior walls was spot on, you cannot tell they were ever here, amazing! David is a sweet guy, super easy to work with and their pricing is really competitive. The reason that I am giving them only three stars is that they didn't have much oversight on the job and there was no supervisor to check if the work was done well. I don't know if this is standard or just happened on my job. The workers accidently insulated the roof over my "out door" front porch and then ran low on insulation so my bedrooms got less insulation than they should have. Luckily, I have access to my roof and was able to see this problem. To their credit, they did come back to fill in more insulation where it was needed. Unfortunately, I have insulation coming down my mailbox chute into my living room and it's super annoying to have to sweep it up all the time. It's been eight months so far..I'm hoping it stops soon. read more
