Absolutely love this place! all the wings I've had in rochester and buffalo I vote murphs is the best! Not only r they 50 cents a wing Monday and Saturday, the flavors r great and so is the size. At duffs and anchor bar they r not nearly close in size of meat that's on the bone. The other food is pretty good as well for bar type food, also a good selection of beer. They have other specials other days as well. Open mic night on Wednesdays. I heard a rumor murphs owner might retire and not sell in the coming years which is extremely disappointing and hope it's not true, so get there fast! read more

Sadly the end of an era for me and my family! Being Irondequoit residents we have been to Murph's several times at both their old location as well as the new location in Herrema's plaza and have had many good dinners but definitely not tonight! I took my wife and granddaughter out for a birthday dinner and thought she would enjoy a good Friday night fish fry as we have had there before. Instead what she got tonight was a tiny piece of broiled fish that was the size of a store bought fish stick with about a dozen cold French fries for $16! I got a beer battered fish fry which was okay but my dozen French fries were also cold & soggy like they had been sitting around for quite awhile. My granddaughter got the pizza roll appetizer which consisted of 5 tiny rolls for $10...$2 per roll! I complained to our server which is something I never do but this terrible meal was just more than I could tolerate. She apologized and took $5 off my bill which was still $49 for a table of crappy food. Used to be a good place to get a good meal but, like other reviewers have written, it is just a locals bar and you can see that their focus has shifted from good food, good service, and a good value for your dollar to just another bar that makes more money selling drinks and beer and could care less about customer service & satisfaction....so sad and disappointing but will not be going back anymore! read more

Murph's has the best wings and chili nachos in Rochester! I've been here so many times I've lost count. The waiters are always friendly and the owner frequently greets the customers and ensures their food is to their liking. One time I attended a party in their semi-private room and we had a blast. The waitress was very kind and helpful. There's also skeeball and a pool table if you're feeling competitive after a few drinks. There have been rumors that Murph's will be shutting down within the next year or 2. If it does, I along with every irondequoitian will be devastated. read more

Heard the wings here are amazing, but sadly I never got to try them.... Came in on a Monday night about 6:30 and was told it would be 20-30 min for a table as we had a pay of 8. We waited for over an hour beforewe finally got sat without updates or an apology for waiting so long. We ordered almost immediately, a couple of appetizers and then everyone at our table ordered wings as it was 50 cent wing night..... After another hour waiting, we still had no food. (It was busy, but not one person in the dining room had food either. Hmmmm?). Or waitress was absent but we finally tracked her down. .. apps came out shortly after... but again, no updates or apologies for our patience. After another 30 min, we had to track get down again to ask about our food. Her only response was a brusk "kitchen is backed up. Not my fault. " before she hauled ass again. 15 more minutes, we tracked down the manager, who didn't say a word after we explained wed been waiting almost 2 hours for food, but promptly headed into the kitchen. He came back out but never came back to the table, never offered and apology, nothing. We left at the 2 hour mark. Bottom line: terrible service. Don't even bother. read more

Went to Murphs for their .50 cent wing night. The wait time was quite long however I do not fault them for that as many people must of thought quite highly of them. The owner was very nice and personable. I noticed him going around and helping his staff along with asking us as we were waiting if he could get us some drinks. He got us some sodas and didn't charge us for it as we were waiting. I ordered the firecracker wings, they were amazing. The wait time was pretty high but again, with that many people that is no fault of the restaurant. Really enjoyed the friendly staff, amazing owner, and classic feel of a Rochester pub. 5 stars from me! read more

Murph's on Titus was a great place. Great bar, great food, great atmosphere. Murph's moves.. Still a great bar with great food. That said.. Great attracts crowds the new place's square footage and staff aren't equipped to keep up with at times. It gets crowded. Not enough places to sit.. Tough to get waited on quickly by no fault to the staff. Glad they are doing so well. Just be patient when you go. read more

Ate in on a Sunday with a live band playing. Pretty cool tunes and it's a typical pub with a really decent menu. I had the crab cakes with roulade sauce, nachos with chile covered in cheddar cheese and mild chicken wings. Service was excellent. It wasn't very busy. The crab cakes were near burnt on the outside and Luke warm on the inside. Didn't finish after a half one. The nachos were soggy and soft on the bottom the chili was cold and the melted cheddar cheese had cooled to the point where is was a mass of hard cheese on top. The chicken wings were PERFECT. They were piping hot crunchy and sopping with the perfect mix of hot sauce. What they do right are wings. And I'm pretty sure if you ask they will reheat your food. Will is go back? Yup. I've been to Murph's a few times, but tonight was the first time I had their food. Wings and nachos were excellent, and their beer/booze selection is every bit as good as anything near my neck of the woods. We met the titular Murph, owner of the place, and he was very friendly and even offered to get us our drinks, as it's a busy Friday and our waitress was slammed. She was also very good and extremely patient. I will definitely come back here every time I go to Rochester. read more

Came in on a Tuesday at noon, were the only customers in restaurant ordering food. Ordered two burgers, two salads, and a quesadilla. After 45 minutes, still had not received food or have refills on drinks offered. We asked for food to come to the table in to go containers, as we only had an hour for lunch. Waitress suggested that in the future we call and order take-out instead of dine in if we have less than an hour and a half for lunch. Meals arrived, not to order. Besides having arguably the best Buffalo wings I've ever had, Anchor Bar included, their Friday Fish Fry is the best in all western New York. Came here on a Friday night with a party of three. We were seated fast. I was craving a fish fry but I was informed that they had stopped serving it at ten pm. So instead I got the clam chowder which was delicious and the sweet and sour wing which are a MUST! I will admit, that there new location is a significant improvement from the old location, but Murph's still has it's issues. First of all, the food wasn't that great. I expected better from a popular pub in the region. Two, the cleanliness of the restaurant wasn't great, with a very dim atmosphere, not what I typically look for, and three, the restaurant was so ridiculously busy that we couldn't even get into the front entryway. I don't think I would try this place again. read more

Visited the new Murph's for dinner tonight. After ordering burgers and a Buffalo wing appetizer, the waitress told us the wings would take at least 20 minutes. We didn't want them with our dinner, so opted to just get burgers .. a french onion burger and a rueben burger. They both looked great upon delivery, but sadly both were not medium as ordered, and both were extremely dry. The side salad with my burger was very small. It wasn't very busy when we arrived (5:30 Sunday), but service was quite slow. We'll probably return to try the wings, but on the $12 burgers. read more

Went back to get some wings for takeout and had a not-so-great experience. I called ahead to try and order, but no one ever picked up. I ended up calling a total of 12 times (see picture) as I drove there and ended up just going inside and ordering. The phone would just ring and ring and ring. Two of the times I called I got a busy signal, which means that they were picking up the phone. Called back and got through and once again it just rang and rang. So I finally get the wings, get to my friends house three minutes down the road, and there was no sauce on the wings - totally different from last time, where they were absolutely doused in sauce. The box they came in had a little bit of sauce on the bottom, but the wings themselves were dry and clearly not tossed in sauce. Overall they were just OK this time - nowhere near as great as last time. I opened the box as soon as I got in the car so they wouldn't get soggy on the drive home, but they were still a little chewy. Couldn't tell if it was from being undercooked or from sitting too long. Also, The menu says $8.99 per 10 wings - I was charged $9.99. I bought 20 - the $2 doesn't bother me really, it's the fact that I only got 18. read more

The neighbors said it was a great place to eat and drink...so I finally checked it out. Wing nights are Monday and Saturday, so with $20 in your pocket you can get a pitcher of beer (premium micro brews are just $2 extra) and 20 wings. Not a bad deal! My review is solely based on service and selection of food and drink...I did not eat there the day I visited. The atmosphere was chock full of "townies" and the bartender, Adam, was incredibly friendly, polite, and welcoming. I will definitely go back! read more

We were the only patrons in the restaurant ordering food, and after 45 minutes, had to ask the server to pack our food to-go as we needed to get back to work. The server responded by saying she would give me their phone number so that we could order food ahead of time in the event that we only had an hour/hour and a half for lunch. Once we all arrived back to work we realized that none of us were provided with plastic eating utensils, and found multiple issues with our order. If you're looking for a place to sit down and eat lunch within an hour/hour and a half window (celebrating a birthday or not), this is not the place to go. read more

Instead of my usual hot wings with firecracker sauce on the side, which are amazing, I opted this time to stray from the shining path and try the honey cajun wings. What a mistake. Nice trademark crispy wing, but that it where it ended. The wings were literally swimming in a pool of honey with some cajun seasoning sprinkled in. I was thinking of honey as an add in, not THE sauce. Yuck, sickly sweet and a sticky mess. ...what was I thinking. And the Brooklyn draft I ordered tasted horrible...like the lines needed cleaning or something. Bad experience. I am going to have to stick to bottled beer at Murph's from now on, or order something that flows more regularly because that beer was not fresh at all. Murph's did a great job on the remodel. Can't say the same for the rest. Came in for dinner at 5:20. It's 5:45. No drinks yet. Observed 2 people walk out. Service was spotty at old location. It's nonexistent here No manager in sight. I had really hoped it would have gotten better here. This location has a history of failing restaurants. If Murph's doesn't get its act together soon, it will suffer the same fate. read more

I love this place, for a pub having fresh baked pita and hummus is awesome. The specials are awesome, everyone is friends, and the food is just plain good. Maybe I've watched too much "Bar Rescue", but my only complaint is the place needs a bit of an update, like cleaning the ceiling vents. read more

Love the fact Murphs is still around (for now) . The wing special is always a smart idea. Great bartenders . Recently I ordered a burger. The tomato on it was about the size of a half dollar! And was missing 2 ingredients On it that I had asked for when placing the order. I'd understand if it was busy but there were only two other tables and ordered a half hour after we did! Worst experience I have ever had at a restaurant!!! It took five minutes to be acknowledged by a hostess. Ordered our food-waited a half an hour before the waitress checked in and THEN offered us bread and butter. 15 more minutes goes by and we call her over to ask how much longer. Terrible! I walk in, sit at the open spot at the bar, 11pm when it is packed on 50 cent wing night during Monday night football. A lot of people eating wings, including the bartender, which must be why it took her over 5 minutes to even take my order. I ordered a beer and wings, but was told the kitchen was closed. 5 minutes later, I saw a couple dozen wings and other food come out for some other probably regulars.
