I used to love this bar. I've been cruzing by regularly for almost 20 years. I was acually bummed with there new covid hours. Mike one of the owners has always been cool with us and my now 20 year old dog. Today at lunch 1pm before main dinner the bartender maybe partner with nobody at the bar decided to kick me and my dog out for no reason. He is 20 years old and was just chillen next to me. Im susprised the bartender even noticed he was there. I was also at the upper bar area where there isn't any main dinning tables. I acually thought he was just joking when he said I had for leave! If you have a pet or are a pet lover deffently don't go to this bar! The dog and duck is pet friendly and da local Irish pub. Service subpar. Husbands seafood trio was very good. I had lobster bisque that tasted like tomato soup, a chopped salad that was fashioned more like a caesar and lacked adequate dressing. My entree the Shepherds Pie was extremely greasy and had no cheese nor anything other than ground meat and whipped potato topping that was crunchy. I was very disappointed. This Irish Pub near the resort area in Wailea is a hidden gem. They have great food and drink with a nice deck to watch the sunset. I had the catch of the day and it was seared perfectly with a wonderful cream sauce. Families go there for lunch and dinner and it turns into a bar hang out for the 20-something crowd later at night. It's a popular place with the locals, so just be aware that it may be a little crowded for dinner, but you can usually get a table without reservations. They have live music/trivia/magic shows on certain nights so be sure to check their calendar or call to ask about the entertainment schedule. I saw an acoustic performer there named "Willie K" and he was fantastic! There is not much of a nightlife scene around the resort area, but this one place where you will find a younger crowd at night for beers. Hang loose! read more

I looked this up: after I Yelped or searched for a Brewery. I somehow thought it'd be a downtoearth dive bar with great beer taps. I suggested to my travel mates for a bite. We ventured to the Mulligan's which is adjacent OR associated with the Wailea Golf Course-Blue Course. Bar itself seems pretty mellow, not divey, but blue collar. Our group chose to sit outside, which was quite nice. We witnessed a magic show in the other room, couple folks in the audience in the dining room. Really, a very casual place. The exterior looks fancy. We had a nice server who was pretty thorough, but vanished when we wanted the final bill. Why is that? I had a soup and salad. Soup-Thai, Curry, Chicken-good flavor, mild spice, temperature could have been hotter. The salad was fine, but overdressed. My dining mates appreciated their meals. Fish and Chips looked delish, their IPA was the Big Swell from Maui Brewing Co. My little friend (figure-wise) murdered her Bleu Cheese Burger, must have been great. I would recommend. Food solid, Drink Solid, Ambiance and Service could use improvement, but overall a great stop. BTW, their restrooms, were accessed through the bar underneath the pro-shop, had a total SWIM CENTER bathroom feel. A little rugged for a Country Club. read more

Interesting pseudo-pub connected to the golfing area... The food was OK. Pub food. nothing special. The drinks were OK. Service wasn't great, wasn't bad. I think it was our waiters first day and he had our table of 10 or so. Without even asking us he split up the checks, which was nice, too...Though then the computer crashed so we had to wait 25 minutes for them to hand calculate the bills. Mulligans is grooving on Sunday nights with a festive Irish band. The band really draws a crowd and everyone around is happily boozing and dancing the jib. The outdoor seating overlooks the golf course with the ocean in the background. The sunsets are incredible from the restaurant deck and that is the best time to go eat here, before the loud crowd arrives! The Irish menu has plentiful portions and I have never been disappointed with a meal here. People truly know how to eat and drink well at Mulligans... its a fun party! read more

Come by Mulligans every time I'm on island. Went last Friday night and had a great salad, beautiful view, was sat quickly and they are doing a great job through all of this covid stuff. Food: Pleasantly surprised Service: Prompt Price: Super reasonable I had low expectations of this place assuming it was just a pub that happened to serve bar food. I brought food for the kids expecting them to not want to eat anything on the menu - but instead, I was pleasantly surprised at the quality and quantity of the food here. The kids shared a large stew, which was pretty good. I got the ribeye special, which was excellent. I devoured the steak and the sides which included beautifully mashed potatoes and grilled veggies. Look forward to going back here next time we are in Maui. I got my one and only lava flow on the island during vacay and unfortunately it was a little weak on the alcohol content, but served as a nice icy to wash down my meal. I love Mulligan's! It's my favorite bar anywhere in the world. Not only is there an awesome crowd of regulars, but there is always a constant stream of really interesting tourists (not just your typical matching aloha shirt wearing tourists). He was the best server I have had in a long time. 4 friends and I went in at happy hour for some food n drinks, and he greeted us almost immediately. It is a 'seat yourself' style spot, so usually you worry if they saw your party walk in. Thank you mulligans staff for an amazing experience. We live on the island and have casual drinks all over. We went for a Willie K dinner show. $65 per person for show and dinner. An opening act played. Dinner was served. When the dessert was served, it was announced Willie K would not be playing. He was sick. The owners of the restaurant knew at the time we checked in for our reservations that he was not playing. They elected to serve crappy food and then make the announcement. The food was lousy and they only gave us $20 per person credit for the entertainment. We were duped and will never go back. read more

We walked from the beach up to Mulligan's for happy hour drinks and pupu's. $1 off all drinks and half priced pupu's from 4-6pm. The place was airy and light hearted and our server did a great job. We started with a couple Mai Tai's, which were worth every penny (strong!) and then moved on the the beer special of the day (only $2). For food we chose the Firecracker Shrimp, Seared Ahi, and Chicken Quesadilla. All were delicious and nicely prepared. This is a great place to just wind down and have some fun. I know Willie K performs here on a somewhat regular basis (he's awesome). And there's entertainment every night of the week. The only reason I'm not giving this place 5 stars is due to the fact that it's not decked out with ambiance. But it makes up for it in price and service. read more

Hubby was very happy to find this place which was up the street from our hotel and had lots of tv's to watch the Giants in their race towards the pennant. Pricing was very reasonable for the area and the food was good. Though I wouldn't recommend the fried poki - seems a bit counter-intuitive. The bartender was friendly and remembered my hubby and friend each time they came in and immediately found the baseball game. I also thought the random vending machine on the way to the bathrooms was funny - it had 3 different types of cigarettes and 5 different types of condoms. read more

The food wasn't very good, but our 11 year old laughed and loved his food (but grilled cheese isn't too hard to make). I had the butternut squash soup...which was more of a "froth" than a broth. Partner had the NY steak...pretty fatty. The mashed potatoes were great but the asparagus was barely blanched...maybe try roasting the asparagus for some flavor? I think it's probably best to stick with drinks. Waiter was attentive and helpful, as were the bartenders. Come on Tuesdays for the Free show 7-8pm! read more

Went to Mulligans to watch the 2015 Women's World Cup Finals of USA Vs. Japan. Great place to watch a game. Many TV's, lots of sport fans, good food, good drinks, easy parking in Maui Hawaii. Waitress was really nice, but just one of her at the start, so she was a bit stretched. But we didn't care, because we had 90 minutes, plus 15 half, plus 30 pre-game time to kill. And she was very nice and apologetic about it. We loved the crunchy calamari. I got the veggies Pho soup which was huge, and lasted the entire game. Kids got the fish and chips (ah, just okay), and my son got a fantastic grill cheese. A little lite on Vegan food, except for the Pho, the Veggie stir fry, the salad. Not completely Esselstyn food plan friendly. We enjoyed the game, and this was a great place to see it. Parking is easy and free. read more

It was very good. They had mashed potatoes, though I am used to having boiled potatoes with my Corned Beef. But, it was good as is. SERVICE: The service was prompt. Let's be very clear. The best thing about this place is the Bartenders. Especially Chris!!! He makes sure that you are family from the minute you walk in. He is on his game at all times ( pun intended) and makes it fun each and every time I visit. The food has some bumps to work through. Some is very good and, well, some is just not. This review is for a dinner show we attended. Attended Willie K show and dinner on 11/5/18 If your expecting decent food or service would not recommend. Show was good. The Service was dismal at best, had 6pm dinner reservation arrived and sat down, drinks took 40 minutes to get. First course 20 minutes later main dinner 1 hour 45 minutes from our arrival. Wait staff had no idea who they were serving. They would try to give desert to people who had not gotten their main course A couple next to us finally got their main course almost 2 hours after arriving well after others arriving much later got theirs. Appetizer was Poke w/rice actually good but served at room/warm temperature was afraid to eat because it appeared it had been unrefrigerated, sitting out for some time but we did anyway we were starving. Main Course was Surf and Turf Corn Beef cube with a Mahi/Mahi? fish over very bland mash potatoes. Corn beef was either steamed or boiled very rubbery, Mahi Mahi fish smelled fishy took two bites way over cooked and just plain bad, not fresh. Picture a white plate white mash potatoes, with white fish and a red cube on top of the mash potatoes. Was pretty bad presentation. Best way to describe the dinner is think of worst wedding reception buffet you have been to and this was worse by far. I really hope they work on their food and service. This could be a great venue for show casing the many talented singers/bands on Maui. We would love to come back. Even if they give up dinner and just have drinks and a concert it could be a great venue? One problem was there tables everywhere with no room for the wait staff or even patrons to get up to use the restroom. Forget about getting your plates cleared . This review is being written in hope that the restaurant management really looks at their food/service for these events and makes some needed improvements. We found this spot to watch some NFL games on our first Sunday. It's a great environment to watch a game - lots of TVs and really fun people. The service was fantastic, and that was with only one server on the floor. We both had the fish and chips. It was the best fish and chips I've ever had. The fish was mahimahi and was fantastic! The fries were thick steak fries and were delightful! They had drink specials, so I had a Bloody Mary. The drink was fantastic. We also chased the meal with an ice cream pie for dessert. I was tricked to coming to the location from the shuttle guy when I was looking for late night food. They closed the kitchen at 9 and they were preparing for the events. The man offered me fries and I said sure out of hunger and then said I could have fish and chips. The service was nice about that but the fish was over cooked to keep the outside crispy. The fries were odd mix of under cooked or ok. I understand that they were in a bind with some wedding event but charging $19 for that plate is a bit much. Especially it seemed like it came from a the wedding event batch. If you're looking for a bar I think it might be good but food is Definitely a regret. read more

We were at Mulligans for an event, it was very full and no seats available when we arrived. A table opened up so we took it. The server came to our table immediately and accused us of taking the table from someone. For the next 2 hours she ignored us and wouldn't make eye contact. This place deserves zero stars for having a poorly trained staff. My boyfriend called about a month ago to reserve a table for the Mayweather vs. McGregor fight. The man he spoke to took down his name and number for a table at 3pm. My boyfriend called around 2p today just to make sure everything was still ok since we were getting ready to leave and spoke to a woman who said that we didn't have a reservation and that they only started taking reservations with a credit card a few days ago. Had we known we needed to give them a credit card, we would have. Today is the second day of our trip and we planned today around this fight and not to have our table because a staff member obviously didn't have a clue as to how they were handling reservations is extremely upsetting . I tried calling back to speak to a manager and no one will answer the phone. My boyfriend is beyond disappointed and we will never attempt to come here again. read more

Cool Irish pub/restaurant in an unexpected location. We've been going to Mulligan's for years - every time we are on Maui. The service is great, as is the food and the prices. The outside seating area is on a deck surrounding half of the restaurant and has ocean views and beautiful views of the grounds. The salads and the burgers are awesome. I went to Mulligans for the Willie K dinner show. At first, I thought it seemed pricey, but this Maui experience was worth every penny. I now recommend it to everyone I know. They served a 4 course meal. It was exceptional! They give you meal options to choose from and with the sun setting over the ocean as you eat, it's just magical. Then the show starts and Willie K just blows you away. He is an extraordinary guitar player and singer. He keeps you captivated the entire time. Our waiter Chad was the best we've had on the island. He explained the menu options and talked to us about the show before it began. He just made us feel so welcome. We went back the following Tuesday for a free family friendly magic show. We didn't have kids with us so we thought we might get a little bored, but we loved it! I couldn't believe in this tourist area that we saw such a great show for free! I also recommend the pineapple mojito! It's probably the best drink I've ever had. Overall this is a great restaurant, very nice and professional staff, and great food. Can't really leave a review just for the establishment, separating it from the show, because I went to see Willie K... we arrived in Maui on a Wednesday, and the B&B owner mentioned this show with renowned local slack-key guitar legend Willie K... that was enticing, so we just said "book it!" and he made the arrangements for us. Dinner (4 courses, prix fixe with choice of main entree) + show was $65, and worth it. Willie K. show was excellent, running for over 2 hours and covering a variety of musical styles including traditional Hawaiian, plus rock, blues, country, and even some opera singing. Willie K. is quite a talented musician (playing uke, slack-key, and electric blues) and a charismatic guy, with some great humor and storytelling (personal anecdotes) sprinkled in. As for the food, it was decent -- not great, but decent. The choices were mahi mahi, pork loin, and corned beef with cabbage; we opted for the mahi mahi and the corned beef. The mahi mahi was pretty good; cooked just right, served with quinoa and asparagus (also cooked just right); the corned beef wasn't bad, but a bit too salty (we've cooked corned beef and cabbage many times at home and, yes, it is salty -- but this was excessive.) Drinks were reasonable -- Irish beers at $5 each. So, overall, a great night and fairly priced. I can't speak for non-Willie-K experiences, but go on a Wednesday and watch Willie play! (the lap steel player who opened for him -- Joel Something-or-other -- was also excellent) PS. The service was top-notch. They were amiable and ever-present, being sure to stay out of way of the view of the show, but bringing food out with perfect timing individualized to each table there.
