This pet store is amazing! I love taking my puppy there! They always have many treats to offer! They also have a bulletin board with the most popular dogs! It's a fun little bulletin that they have on display! The staff is always friendly and very helpful! They are also very knowledgeable! That is a big draw! Also if your puppy does not like the treats you can return them! They also have treats, stuffed animals, and clothing for your pet! Maximus is a regular there! It's worth giving it a try! I've only been to the Belltown location of Mud Bay before my fiance and I stopped here while we were in the area the other week. The service was super nice and the selection was great. I got two chew bones for my dogs that were rawhide and allergen free. They were $13/ea and they lasted my two dogs about a week. I would definitely go back to buy more! This is the closest Mud Bay to me and it's a really great little pet supply store stocked full of healthy things for our cats (it also stocks tons for dogs and other small pets but we only have cats). There are many options of natural and local things for the cats. There are also a lot of toy options. There is a huge wall of dog treats and I wish there was as big as a selection for cats. The staff is friendly and always on hand to answer questions. One of my favorite things about Mud Bay is that you can return a product of your pet hates it, which is really cool. I usually don't bother but I had chosen a few types of treats and none of our cats would eat one in particular (which was like an $8 bag of treats) and they gladly returned it so we could try another. read more

Typically, I avoid brick and mortar pet shops, like Cali people avoid traffic hour. But my partner urged me to check it out when we first moved to the area. I was so pleasantly surprised. Mud bay prices are pretty similar to what id find online, if not an few dollars cheaper. I found myself really impressed by the staff's knowledge of the products. They actually made informed recommendations and are required to take continuing education classes. I used to go into pet smart and be shocked and how incompetent some of the workers were. I think I'd make a better pet shop worker than a bunch of people. Anyways I digress. This place is the bomb and you should definitely check it out. They are super generous with samples. My two pups are seniors and it helps to be able to give them samples for their tummies. Last time I went, my dog was having oozing hot spots from a visit to the groomer. He'd never had it before and he had licked himself to the point where he lost all his fur and it was spreading. I rushed in and bought a comfy cone collar (which was adjustable and also had reflectors on it) and was overwhelmed by the different hot spot meds. The guy working there was so awesome that day. The two workers that i mentioned that my dog had hotspots actually seeemed like they cared. They really empathized. I actually felt really cared for and valued as a customer! He recommended me a gel and I'm happy to report that Kai's fur is growing back ! Yay! Fair prices. They don't discount so they keep their pricing fair all the time. Petco jacks up prices so they can cut prices down at random times. Thanks so much mud bay. Has a great selection of toys - we have one dog that tears everything up and another dog that eats everything that is torn out so it was a relief to get toys that are both fun to play with and hard to tear up. I go here often and the crew is always kind, knowledgeable and is really helpful. I buy food and treats there for my dog and my cat and they always have the right brands and great prices. Just today I noticed a sign on the door that was illustrative of their good service, "Dog on a leash welcome. Don't have a leash? we'll loan you one." A big part of good service is not only avoiding the phrase, "No, we can't/ won't/ don't," but also finding a way to say to customers, "yes, and let me help find a way/make it easier/accommodate." That was the reason we had to hit up Mud Bay in jiffy to get some doggie incontinence aids. What luck! They have nifty washable pooch diapers perfect for her problem! 5 stars! And well deserved. My new dog and I went into Mud Bay on our morning walk. I had wanted to check out a pet store other than Petco, so Kona and I stopped by. Kona enjoyed herself and picked out a tendon to chew on. Yum. I talked with the ladies about her breed, her coat and different foods that they have there. Their prices are competitive and their staff is awesome! They gave me advice and were just overall friendly. The store is clean and well organized. I hate Petco. I won't lie and say I don't go there. They are conveniently located around the corner from my house. But I love Mud Bay. Where else can you go on and on about your pet and they actually listen or are great at faking they are listening. My cats have problems, they manage to consume every cat toy invented and they are very picky eaters, but the staff at Mud Bay continues to try and try again to make my cats happy. They even give you bags of sample treats and sample food to see how your cats like it. They know alot about animals and genuinely seem to care about them too. Plus the store is like a doggie boutique and I would much rather buy a dress in a boutique than at Wal-Mart, I think my cat would agree. read more

AWESOME place and the staff is incredibly helpful / friendly to our dog. Everytime we come in with our Golden Retriever they walk around to visit her and giver her those special treats I'll never buy for her (I'm nice but custom jerky chunks for dogs is a bit over the top for me to give my dog). They do have a few items we pick up like dog shampoo that smells great and does not take forever to rinse off our Golden. read more
