Covid Tree!

Love having a local garden shop in the neighborhood. These ladies are friendly and offer a cool selection of products. Also, it's a big plus they are uber dog-friendly. My doggos enjoy stopping by to sniff the dog treats, food and gear. During this pandemic, we wanted to buy our Christmas tree from a local business. Being late in the season, they only had odd round bushy ones left. (It's times like this when I miss Chubby n' Tubby.) Anyhow, it quickly grew on us, and it turned out to be the most admired tree we've ever had.

I made an appointment to look at and buy plants. The staff were very helpful even from 6 feet away!

This charming shop is a great addition to the neighborhood. They have a great selection of gifts, gardening supplies, organic seeds, compost, veggie and landscaping plants, plus dog and chicken food, dog toys, leashes, and more stuff I can't even think of. Locally owned. Yay!

I admire their small business in the neighborhood but the selection is not great and their prices are spendy.

The only store that was close to me was about 45 minutes away driving and it was in South Seattle. I'm gonna be perfectly honest. This is not the best area so please use heads up when going here. Security was posted in the lobby to keep an eye on people who might try to steal tools or who knows what else However, I had a great experience. I got an email letting me know that my item was ready for pick up and I made the trip on a Saturday evening. I was greeted at the customer service pick up desk by a great young lady with an infectious smile and a great attitude. She had my item ready, helped me get it onto a cart and I took it outside without incident. Her and the other cashier that I interacted with were both very positive and I had a great interaction with both of them. I will not hesitate to come back.

With some trepidation, we ordered over 1,000 pounds of gravel in 22 bags. We're seniors and we needed the gravel delivered as close to the landscape area where it would be placed, as was possible. This required navigating a narrow driveway, while carefully avoiding ornate brickwork, mature tree branches and various shrubs and perennials. Not only did Lowe's send our delivery driver, Jerry, equipped with a forklift, uniquely engineered to manage difficult terrain and tight spaces, but Jerry was perhaps the most capable, skillful, caring and kind delivery person I've ever encountered. He took the time to understand exactly what we needed, and then skillfully fulfilled our hoped for objective, doing so with remarkable care. Lowe's has a very special human resource in Jerry, and I must further thank Jerry's manager for recognizing his talents. There's a reason we shop at Lowe's. Selection. Fair Pricing. Great Service. What more can you ask for. Thanks, Jerry. Thanks, Lowe's. MJS

We walked around a bit longer to look at other option and then circled back to and landed on the first tree we saw. A different guy came over to help us out and then he quoted us 85 for the same tree We went inside to pay and gave the guy the info on the tree and then he tried to charged us 100 dollars?? We mentioned to him that we had been quoted three different prices. He begrudgingly honored the 85 price point but failed to mention the card service fee so ultimately it came out to 93 dollars. It was an inconsistent experience. They offered to wrap the tree but failed to mention that also costs extra unless you ask.... The whole thing just felt shady. It did not put me in the christmas spirit...

We got our tree early this year since Thanksgiving falls late in the month. There was a steady stream of people but I can't speak to how busy it may be Thanksgiving weekend or after. The trees are gorgeous! So many options and different types to choose from. We got lucky and it didn't rain while we were there. They have saws and knee pads. We struggled to cut ours down and the helpers they have working there had to assist us. They were truly some of the sweetest young people. They were friendly and funny and incredibly helpful. They shake and wrap it for free and while they loaded it in the back of our vehicle, I'm pretty sure they would've helped tie it up if we wanted it on the top. Our tree is almost 8 feet tall and pretty big around. It's thick and honestly looks fake it's so perfect. It was $169 before tax. We tipped and I highly encourage you to do the same. Even if they just shake and wrap it, they are all working hard here. We will definitely be back. It's a convenient location from Seattle and a great experience!

We arrived well before closing and spent a long time looking. We noticed it was getting late and asked the cashier what time they close. They informed us that they let the last cars in at 4 and stay until everyone has a tree. It was well past 4 so we offered to go but were assured that we could stay and that they would wrap the tree and secure it to the roof of my truck, but they the shaker was turned off for the night. We made our final selection and reconfirmed with the cashier that it wasn't too late and that they would wrap and secure out tree. She gave us a saw and we paid and went to cut the tree down. In the time it took to cut the tree down the owners told all the staff to go home. We wheeled the tree to the wrapping station and were rudely told by the owners that they could not help us, that they were closed, and that we should leave. Both owners were extremely rude and confrontational. They made snide and sarcastic comments and the male owner tried to intimidate me into leaving. I told them if I couldn't transport the tree home after it was cut it was no good to me and the female owner began telling me a long story about previous customers who stayed late. As it was becoming heated I tried to explain that their employee had assured us, twice, that we would still be helped and that we offered to leave but were told to stay the owner said, "she is a stupid teenage girl, what do you expect." Eventually, after I demanded a refund (which they refused) they begrudgingly helped me wrap the tree. They then "helped" be jam the tree in the too small bed of my truck breaking several branches. They flatly refused to help me put the tree on my roof rack where it would fit. Even if the trees weren't extremely expensive, which they are, the customer service, intimidation, swearing, down talking of their own employees, and general discomfort of dealing with the owners makes this a place I would NOT recommend.

My wife and I were looking and looking all fall for places that might be good for us to hit once tree season came along. We love cutting down our own tree and all the rituals that come with the season. We also love places that are family friendly, peaceful, and simple. With Snow Valley, we found it all. Friendly and accommodating staff, literally thousands of trees to choose from, and not all of the hoopla that some area places have with carnival-like games and rides. They have a small barn space that has pre-made wreaths and garland, a walk up cafe with coffee, cocoa, and donuts, and acres upon acres of trees! Walking through the fields, saw in hand, looking for the perfect tree.....ah, one of the best feelings of the holiday season! When we got home, I was surprised to find that it had not been shaken (although I had noticed they had a shaker) and there were lots of loose, dead needles, and a patch of mud that was really hard clean off of the lower branches. They also have a gift shop with pre-decorated wreathes and homey Christmas decorations.
