The staff here are genuinely friendly, knowledgeable, and clearly love what they do. It happened to be Halloween, and my dog (dressed up as Krypto the Super Dog ‍) got a full-size bag of premium dog treats from the kind gal at the counter -- such a sweet surprise! I had questions about dog food and fresh meals, and Dan, who turned out to be the store manager, went above and beyond. He walked me through different options and recommended A Pup Above - Porky's Luau and Natural Balance L.I.D. Lamb & Brown Rice kibble. My dog LOVES this combo -- even more than his Science Diet Small Bites! What stood out most was Dan's professionalism and humility -- he was stocking shelves one minute and giving thoughtful pet nutrition advice the next. You can tell this place has a strong sense of care and community. The store is spotless, well-stocked, and full of great pet supplies, toys, and treats. They have dog food for sale as well as beds, toys, treats, and safe bones for your dogs. And they do have a rewards program where are you just sign up for free and I got a little card and then they save your points that can be used at other purchases. I do not use their grooming services since I do not want to wash my dog and let the pros take care of that .

First, he coached us on how to bathe our dogs with their wash station. We've had our dogs for 10 and 15 years and have never been told instructions, which we really found helpful. Next, we got 30 minutes to bathe our two pups... we've been limited to 6 minutes apiece at other businesses. And yet the price at Cookies was almost half of what we've payed for at other places!! Third, we received free packages of treats both during and after the bath. There were chicken, beef, or fish varieties in case the dogs had allergies. We were also given bottles of water for ourselves because my husband was sweating from bathing the dogs. Finally, the variety of treats, bones, and dog food here is broad. We've been to a few other dog stores in the area and nothing compares to Cookies. We'll be coming back to this place probably 1-2 times a month. The customer service alone was enough for us, the variety and attention to detail in product selection was the cherry on top.

I was very happy with the job they did and I will be going to them exclusively as their pricing was fair and my Maxwell meshed well with his groomer. I will say- when he got home he did drink two bowls of water, not sure if he had water while there, but he could've been too nervous/excited to drink while there, he does have some marking issues so they could have been trying to avoid him peeing everywhere as well. Overall, I was happy with everything. Maxwells coat smelled so good and is glossy now, his nails were done nicely, and I was happy not to struggle getting a 100lb dog into my bathtub at home.

I take care of my parents' 20+ year old African Grey when they are out of town (which is a lot, since they own a RV). My parents live in Port Orchard and have used Todd various times at POPP before, but I had no direct experience with him or his shop until recently. I left the bird with Todd to be boarded for just over a week. I brought food, but didn't need to. I did bring some toys out of her cage per Todd's recommendation. He took care of the rest. As far as the shop goes, he has a great selection of the Volkmann bird seed which is not only a very good seed, but the only one that our Grey happens to eat (she eats a variety of human food too). When I picked up the bird and took her home, she seemed happy and healthy, and immediately settled into her routine at my house as soon as we got home. Based on the high level of care I witnessed from boarding, I wouldn't hesitate to use Todd for any of the other services offered--and I will certainly be boarding with him again in the future.

We looked at a few doggy lodges and felt that Bayside was a nice place and the staff were playful with our dogs. Not only that, they were very clean and the facility did not smell (very important!). Also, their prices are fair compared to other places that we've seen or tried. Since we found Bayside, our pups have been visiting every 2-3 weeks and they love it every time! Even during the COVID restrictions, Bayside was there for them. Our Rotties love to socialize and going to Bayside provides the environment we want for them. The staff is warm and welcoming and we can tell how much they enjoy having our giant spoiled Rotties there. We've used their grooming services and their groomers do a great job and provide a report afterwards on their condition and needs. Love that! After doggy vamp, our pups come home like dead weights. They barely make it to bed because they had oodles of fun at Bayside!
