We have been taking our Golden Retriever, the white tornado to RDR since he was a wee pup who was a handful. Everyone at RDR has been so responsible and caring with all the the fur babies. Cloud had a tough time with his grooming and bath at first, but with care and patience he now does very well. Cloud is now 3 years old and we would not think of taking him anywhere else for day care, grooming or boarding. There have been times of emergency and RDR has gone above and beyond making sure we had nothing to worry about when my husband and myself ended up in the hospital. RDR took such good care of Cloud. He just loves it there and gets so excited when we pull up. I think if he ever got lost he would find RDR before he would find home! read more

This place is so great! Our three little dogs (shih tzu and Pomeranian mixes) go to daycare here and they always come home so tired and happy. When I adopted our dogs I didn't realize there was a service like this and I am so glad we found Run Dog Run. The staff is caring and you can tell they genuinely love the dogs that come to daycare. I use their pet taxi and dog walking services too so my "fluffy" girl can lose a little bit of weight. We have two small elderly dogs that we board at Run Dog Run several times in 2022. RDR takes such good care of my pups, this is one of the overnight boarding places for dogs that really goes above and beyond. Recently, we were boarding the dogs over the holidays and we were not able to make it back to Kingston due to our flight being cancelled and rescheduled for a whole day later. RDR was very understanding and allowed our pups to stay an extra 2 days over the holidays for us to get home. They truly care, which is why I will be taking my pups to RDR always! read more

The best place for day care and boarding in North Kitsap! We have two very small Chihuahua/Terrier mix with two completely different personalities (spaz and chicken). The smallest (chicken) -5lbs- was suffering from separation anxieties as the household started to go back into the office, get a bit more social outside (w/o pets) and so we were nervous using RDR since we had behavioral challenges. The team/family at RDR took on the challenge and in a matter of a week or two, converted our once, scared - sky is falling- and little bossy princess into a confident, calm little bossy princess. No more are the days we used to muzzle her (picture the worlds smallest muzzy) just to get her toe nails clipped. She's so much better than before and all this without training, just love and caring. We are so grateful to the entire team at RDR for opening the doors for us and our little family and highly recommend them for small and super small dogs, absolutely the best! And no, we never viewed behind-the-curtain at their location but it really doesn't matter - The proof is in the happiness of our babies each time we drop and pick them up! read more

I'm not one to offer many one star reviews. I would rather vote with my wallet than to blast people online and impact their business. However, after our most recent visit, I feel compelled to share my experiences. RDR does not allow you to tour their space. It would be nice to see how my dog will spend his day. Not once have we been allowed past the front counter. Some visits, we are not even let inside the building with our dog. Yesterday, we picked up our Golden Retriever from daycare with three of his paws bloodied, with several pads torn off completely; others flapping off. We have never once had an issue of pad loss before. Our 2 year old is a big player. I cant even imagine how long he was allowed to run around on concrete unattended before a staff member noticed blood pooling on their concrete. Today, I am carrying my 85 pound dog outside to pee, as he cannot comfortably walk on his own. We have him in an Elizabethan collar, and are applying ointments to his feet, while we wait to be seen by our vet. While I know his injuries will heal, it is obvious that a lack of care and attention was given. read more

We've been taking our hyper, deaf dog here since they opened and I couldn't be happier about their care and playtime they offer our pup. When our dog comes home, she just sleeps through the evening. Love that they do not use kennels and they have a good group of dogs that stay regularly. read more

We can't say enough good about this place. They have very kind people that are super helpful. We love traveling with our dog and came in from out of town and needed doggy daycare so we could go into Seattle for the day. They were very accommodating. Our dog doesn't normally have issues at doggy daycare, but she was nervous for some reason when we dropped her off. But the staff was so kind to her and sent us a text notification during the day to let us know how she was doing. They told us she had warmed up and was very loving and wanted to be petted. My dog is happy and worn out after a day at Run Dog Run. The staff are freindly and believe in supervising the dogs as they play. Facility is clean and (suprisingly) even on these HOT days it doesn't smell like a dog kennel. I have used the daycare service, but I would not hesitate to board here. This is a great place for day care or vacation boarding. I have an older special needs dog and they can accommodate her odd needs. My friend brings her large exuberant young large dog and he gets treated very well also. The entire place smells clean and fresh. The dogs are happy. I highly recommend this spot. The owners are obviously dog lovers and are very involved with pet adoption and the local animal shelter. Owners have big hearts and it shows. They have a very special place here. read more

My daughter is on vacation in Vietnam so we have her dog Vern. Vern is bigger than our dogs and needs a fair amount of exercise. With both of us working it can be tough to get him the exercise he needs. He goes to doggy day care in West Seattle and loves it. I called this business on Wednesday and person who answered the phone didn't seem to be very forthcoming with information. I was not told to go on line and fill out an application. In fact, I got the impression they are not looking for new business. But, I saw the other reviews and the business is on my way to work and opens at 6:30 which is perfect for me. I drove over today to check it out. The attendant, ring the bell as the door is locked, came and I started to ask some questions. She was surly and rude. Having never done this before I was not sure what questions to ask and I immediately felt I was intruding on her time. She, rudely, informed me that I needed to fill out the application online. Ok, that's not to tough. Then she said I needed to bring Vern in at one of two specific times for a trial run. I get this but oh not on a weekend. It felt like they are making this as hard as possible under the guise of being careful who they let in. Normally, I would appreciate their care as Vern is like my daughter's kid and I want the best care available but if they are this rude with potential customers, I can't imagine how the dogs fare in their care. read more
