Mack went from a high-energy puppy who struggled with listening, jumping, and leash pulling to a well-mannered, confident dog. With a one-year-old at home, having hands-free control over our large dog has been life-changing. The program's results have been night and day for our family. You can tell Joshua and Kayla truly care for and bond with every dog that comes through their programs, which made us feel so comfortable trusting them with Mack. An added bonus is their boarding option for program graduates, which includes a training refresh. It's a relief knowing we can leave Mack with people we trust while we're away. **Will be moving the shop location in the future**…read more Bainbridge Island Dog Club is at least one of three dog shops that I discovered yesterday along Winslow Ave. while shopping and strolling. They offer grooming at another location. This location is a separate building tucked behind Magnolia and La Mercerie. But, as I was told the shop will be moving, this may change soon. At this location, they have a great selection of dog treats, clothing, leashes, harnesses, poop bags, toys and treats. They also sell owner items: cute hats with their logos, hoodies to match your dog, etc. They even have hilarious greeting cards, even for your petsitter. On the dog and people hoodies: apparently they come in many colors throughout the year and are of very good quality. Several customers have reported back to the shop that they don't pill after being in a washing machine. I had a lovely discussion with the store attendant (I got the vibe she wasn't the owner), and she was so friendly that I came back later in the day to purchase some items. (Despite posted operating hours, I came back after hours at 4:14pm on a Sunday to make this purchase. She joyfully said she tries to keep the shop open for Seattle-based or tourist clientele who are used to longer and later hours. I advise calling if you want to see if they're open past hours.)

Similar to the Seattle Mudbay, The store is absolutely adorable and packed with everything a pet parent could want. They have leashes, collars, toys, high-quality pet food, and a great selection of fresh and locally sourced options. You can immediately tell this place is thoughtfully curated rather than just stocked with generic big-box items. The highlight for me was finding a leash for my corgi that I've been hunting for online for months that had been discontinued everywhere else. Somehow they had it, and it felt like striking gold. Shops like this are why I always try to explore local businesses when visiting a new place. This place clearly cares about the quality of the products they carry and the experience they create for pet owners. The best place for day care and boarding in North Kitsap! We…read morehave two very small Chihuahua/Terrier mix with two completely different personalities (spaz and chicken). The smallest (chicken) -5lbs- was suffering from separation anxieties as the household started to go back into the office, get a bit more social outside (w/o pets) and so we were nervous using RDR since we had behavioral challenges. The team/family at RDR took on the challenge and in a matter of a week or two, converted our once, scared - sky is falling- and little bossy princess into a confident, calm little bossy princess. No more are the days we used to muzzle her (picture the worlds smallest muzzy) just to get her toe nails clipped. She's so much better than before and all this without training, just love and caring. We are so grateful to the entire team at RDR for opening the doors for us and our little family and highly recommend them for small and super small dogs, absolutely the best! And no, we never viewed behind-the-curtain at their location but it really doesn't matter - The proof is in the happiness of our babies each time we drop and pick them up!

Cloud had a tough time with his grooming and bath at first, but with care and patience he now does very well. Cloud is now 3 years old and we would not think of taking him anywhere else for day care, grooming or boarding. There have been times of emergency and RDR has gone above and beyond making sure we had nothing to worry about when my husband and myself ended up in the hospital. RDR took such good care of Cloud. He just loves it there and gets so excited when we pull up. I think if he ever got lost he would find RDR before he would find home!
