Then they moved to a cavernous place on Judson, with loads of tables and bench seats (very beer hall!). And a few years ago, they moved down the street on Harborview. That place has changed over the years, with lots of room both indoors and out, with ample views of the harbor, Rainier, and even Henderson Bay. I love some of their seasonal brews, in particular, their Nomadic IPA. A broad selection of brews is one of the highlights; you'll doubtless find one that you find special. My only regret: I wish I could go a lot more often! Love the place.

Steve and I went to this location on it's opening day which of course was busy but the location is great as it's located in scenic downtown Gig Harbor. The other Gig Harbor Brewing location is in Tacoma and Steve and I noticed that the beer selection is a bit different between the two locations. You will see some of the flagship beers at both but some of the more seasonal beers you will find to be at a single location and not simultaneously. This was confirmed by the staff as well. At this location I got the Sour Cherry beer which was very good. Perhaps a bit too sweet for me in a pint size but perfect for a taster or a schooner. Of course the flagship ales that were here are always great! The taproom feels roomy and there is seating outside when it's nice so I definitely recommend coming here for a beer or two while you are out and about downtown!

The Washington Beer Blog states that Redd Dog is moving in later in 2026 and will be running a brewery at this location. It's a turnkey scenario. Redd Dog is already present in Tacoma as a U Pour taphouse on 6th Avenue hosting guest taps from other breweries but with them making the move here it is going to be a brewery. It's sad to see Black Fleet close. Their beers were very refreshing and they later on made craft sodas which were fantastic. They will be deeply missed!

I still love Tides, but the prices have definitely gone up, and it's getting harder to justify the cost. If I were to get crazy picky, tasting of 1.0oz beer is still going to cost you a dollar. There's no "taking a sip" to see if you wanna commit to ordering a full pint, so just keep that in mind. My favorite here is Narrows Lager and Summer Lager is great too, and if you're an IPA drinker, Tempest IPA is a good option. They also do not prep food here so they got a Chex Mix + Pub Mix snack for $4.00 for about a small bowl, and some charcuterie boards. You can order some food downstairs/next door from Boathouse19 and or bring a small snack bag to nibble on. Parking is ample but can get filled very quickly, especially during Summer time when lots of wedding and other events are happening at the Narrows Marina warehouse, and I also see some food trucks parked by exclusively for those events from time to time. Lastly, they have non-alcoholic beers too! It's not their own, but I've seen them pour "Bero" canned non-alcoholic beer, so you do not need to be a beer drinker to enjoy the space here, but this place is 21+ only, which is another reason I love it here. Oh and last but not least, they have several rooms for event rentals, so I've seen many retirement, birthday parties and other events hosted in those rooms. Pretty cool! The room next to the bar area can be a bit noisy because of the exhaust fan running that is connected to the brewery room. Their outdoor seating is the perfect place to take in stunning views of the sound while enjoying a nice cold beer. We ordered a couple beer flights and every beer we tried was crisp and refreshing. My friend also ordered a white wine and port wine. Both were delicious! We stayed for hours and just had so much fun catching up and enjoying the day. As the sun was setting, staff told us they were hosting music bingo that night and offered for us to partake. I wish we could've stayed and played but we had to call it a night. Maybe next time!

Walking along First Avenue in Seattle Washington, I happen to notice an old vacant building…read moresqueezed between two giant skyscrapers . It seemed out of place next to all the new modern buildings and business on the block. This was the only original building on the block. The whole block is redeveloped with new apartments/ condo's / offices / restaurants and museums. What story does this building have to tell ? This building was designed by a local Seattle architect by the name of Willian E. Boone . and completed in 1890 right after the "Great Fire of 1889 " and "YES "William E. Boone is a direct descendent of Daniel Boone. It architecture embraces (QueenAnne/Richardsonian Romanesque Style.) It is officially known as the " Seven Seas Building". Other names the building was known by were "Hotel Vendôme / Post Edward Building / New Hotel Vendom/ Salton Hotel and lastly the " Lusty Lady ". After being vacant since 1985, there is new interest by an local Seattle development company ( Revolve).
