    Ghost Ship Imperial Stout. Delicious!
    Darin R.

Gig Harbor Brewery is a great taproom with very friendly staff. My wife and I came in here during a weekend trip to Gig Harbor. We call before and were told that they do not serve any food, but we could bring in outside food. We stopped at the General Store and grabbed a delicious sandwich. I started with a pint of the Giggly Blonde and my wife had a glass of Locust Cider Dark Cherry Cider. Both with delicious with lunch. I then had a Ghost Ship Imperial Stout and my wife had a different cider. The stout was so smooth it tasted like it was on nitro, but it was not. I'm not a stout beer drinker, but this was delicious. We had a great game of table shuffle board...because I won. They have a bunch of board games to play or a beautiful deck to watch the harbor. I will definitely stop here every time we come to Gig Harbor. Cheers.

    Not your average tap room

Quaint place on the main strip of downtown Gig Harbor. An ideal place to relax and let the wife finish shopping or just people watch. Good beer, no food but there are a number of places to bring in food from nearby. Comfy chairs, couches, TVs and board games make it an nice place to chill and enjoy a pint.

Everything is cuter in gig harbor! Says me! :D I'm partial to beach town! And this touristy little town has been my favorite since I first came here 2 winters ago! It was just so cute. Everything is so cute. They have breweries, wineries! Small but delicious brunch spots. Waterfront! All the little historic houses! No hard liquor law! This shiny cool new spot is no exception. They have the gig harbor brewing in Tacoma. But now they have a taproom in gig harbor! Great, spacious, inviting! Shuffle boards! Comfy seats! By the water! Beers on top!! And 2 wines!! Even if you don't drink beer, they have cider and games to play. The vibe is always gonna be inviting!! I love it!! And I don't even drink beer!

A great little tap room in the heart of the harbor! While the beer isn't actually brewed there (just a quick jaunt over the bridge in Tacoma) this little tap room had lots to offer! The staff was super friendly and the blackberry IPA was delish! Can't wait to hang on the deck in the summer!

    Hazy Harbor IPA.

He was nice enough to let us show our friends the space., But was already sweeping and closing, which, as a restaurant owner and Winebar owner, I can attest is a huge no-no. All winter we would drop in on Monday night after concert often as late as 9:45 with no to few other customers in the room and be warmly greeted and sold a couple of glasses of wine just so that we could chill a little bit but, we never stay very long. And the girls were always very welcome and friendly.. But after maybe 25 visits, we get this guy, in a room packed with people, not that late, not friendly, not sorry, so sadly we left, but did show our friends the beautiful patio with the spectacular steady water and full moon. We will be back, although it's been a long time now thanks to that guy, and look forward to giving a five star review because this place really is special and doesn't even need our good review because they are busy busy busy in a town with absolutely nothing going on. (We moved to Gig Harbor to put the gig in Gig Harbor, and we still will. But now that Anthony's has purchased the Tides Tavern, the Tides is open until 10 and is welcoming and friendly to people who show up all the way until 10 because they're good business people. Restaurant people, club owners, like us will never be the last people to leave so are very considerate about coming in late to a place.) .

I haven't seen the usual setup, but I'm assuming there's usually tables and chairs in the middle. THE FOOD: - Kitchen is currently closed, but outside food is more than welcome. Snack foods (chips, peanuts, similar) available at register. THE CIDERS: - I had a flight and they were all amazing. Standouts were: vanilla bean (sweet but not too sweet; light, refreshing, true vanilla flavor) and dark maple (not saccharine sweet; just on the edge with a dryness and truly outstanding flavor... dangerously delicious). - I kept expecting all of them to be overly sweet; but they all kept surprising me. Watermelon was another favorite. SERVICE: - Quick and kind with a smile. You'll love the vibes. SIDE NOTES: - We traveled from the Seattle area as Locust Cider had the Winchester Mystery House pinball machine on loan for the weekend. Only 500 were made, and this is currently the only one in the state. Your next closest is Next Level Museum in Oregon if you want to play this extraordinary machine. It's worth it! - We came on a salsa lesson night, so most pinball machines were blocked by tables. That's alright because 7 were unblocked and provided plenty of entertainment while the salsa lessons happened. - I think pinball + salsa music + sipping refreshing ciders is the new best way to enjoy a Saturday night. EDIT: some spelling mistakes on my part, oops.

First of all, the property is huge with various areas to hang out in. There's an indoor space downstairs, and upstairs space with a bar and video games, uncovered and covered outdoor patio areas with equipment for live musicians, and a little forested enclave with seating and a fireplace. Beyond their awesome ambiance, their ciders were all varied and delicious. They have 26 taps to choose from. We tried a bunch of their 4oz pours. My favorites turned out to be (surprisingly) their seasonal Chai and their Honey Pear, but each one that I tasted was unique and flavorful. I felt the intentionality in each one. They have a full food menu that includes gluten free tater tots and chicken nuggets. Service was awesome, by the way. Two of the kegs we wanted to try had blown, so the bartender brought us a few extra pours for having to wait. I'm super bummed that I never made it back for a second visit. I implore you to try this place if you haven't!

We knew that Heritage has closed many tasting room locations already and just assumed that the Gig Harbor location closed some time ago. But nope, they are still around for a few more weeks. We got some spirits here. I got some miniature bottles of vodka and whiskey and Steve got a spirit that has an amazing Earl Grey flavor so we definitely had a nice purchasing "Hurrah" here before this location closes. Despite all tasting rooms closing Heritage Distilling will still exist as it is going to a production only operation.

This is actual brewery so they sell their beer can packs to go, as well as some Merch (apparels etc). Newest second location (Narrows Tasting Room) recently opened on Proctor district as well. If I were to get crazy picky, tasting of 1.0oz beer is still going to cost you a dollar. There's no "taking a sip" to see if you wanna commit to ordering a full pint, so just keep that in mind. My favorite here is Narrows Lager and Summer Lager is great too, and if you're an IPA drinker, Tempest IPA is a good option. They also do not prep food here so they got a Chex Mix + Pub Mix snack for $4.00 for about a small bowl, and some charcuterie boards. You can order some food downstairs/next door from Boathouse19 and or bring a small snack bag to nibble on. Parking is ample but can get filled very quickly, especially during Summer time when lots of wedding and other events are happening at the Narrows Marina warehouse, and I also see some food trucks parked by exclusively for those events from time to time. Lastly, they have non-alcoholic beers too! It's not their own, but I've seen them pour "Bero" canned non-alcoholic beer, so you do not need to be a beer drinker to enjoy the space here, but this place is 21+ only, which is another reason I love it here. Oh and last but not least, they have several rooms for event rentals, so I've seen many retirement, birthday parties and other events hosted in those rooms. Pretty cool! The room next to the bar area can be a bit noisy because of the exhaust fan running that is connected to the brewery room. All in all, a great brewery tucked in on the Narrows Marina that's worth a visit if you're in the area, and you might find me here too, just hanging out on a Summer evening : )
