I'm a bit surprised that I haven't reviewed this Gig Harbor Brewing location yet. Well... I'm going to take care of that right now! Steve and I went to this location on it's opening day which of course was busy but the location is great as it's located in scenic downtown Gig Harbor. The other Gig Harbor Brewing location is in Tacoma and Steve and I noticed that the beer selection is a bit different between the two locations. You will see some of the flagship beers at both but some of the more seasonal beers you will find to be at a single location and not simultaneously. This was confirmed by the staff as well. At this location I got the Sour Cherry beer which was very good. Perhaps a bit too sweet for me in a pint size but perfect for a taster or a schooner. Of course the flagship ales that were here are always great! The taproom feels roomy and there is seating outside when it's nice so I definitely recommend coming here for a beer or two while you are out and about downtown! read more

Gig Harbor Brewery is a great taproom with very friendly staff. My wife and I came in here during a weekend trip to Gig Harbor. We call before and were told that they do not serve any food, but we could bring in outside food. We stopped at the General Store and grabbed a delicious sandwich. I started with a pint of the Giggly Blonde and my wife had a glass of Locust Cider Dark Cherry Cider. Both with delicious with lunch. I then had a Ghost Ship Imperial Stout and my wife had a different cider. The stout was so smooth it tasted like it was on nitro, but it was not. I'm not a stout beer drinker, but this was delicious. We had a great game of table shuffle board...because I won. They have a bunch of board games to play or a beautiful deck to watch the harbor. I will definitely stop here every time we come to Gig Harbor. Cheers. read more

Quaint place on the main strip of downtown Gig Harbor. An ideal place to relax and let the wife finish shopping or just people watch. Good beer, no food but there are a number of places to bring in food from nearby. Comfy chairs, couches, TVs and board games make it an nice place to chill and enjoy a pint. read more

Everything is so cute. They have breweries, wineries! Small but delicious brunch spots. Waterfront! All the little historic houses! No hard liquor law! This shiny cool new spot is no exception. They have the gig harbor brewing in Tacoma. But now they have a taproom in gig harbor! Great, spacious, inviting! Shuffle boards! Comfy seats! By the water! Beers on top!! And 2 wines!! Surprised to be the only ones here on a Saturday afternoon. Lots of comfortable seating, big TVs if that's your thing. The bartender was very personable without being pushy and made suggestions for us. We did a tasting to try out our options as we hadn't been in before. The amber-ish and cider were ok but neither of us enjoyed the ditzy blonde. The options were ok but others in Gig Harbor have better brews for our taste. read more

Don't recommend. We walked in on a beautiful bday and were greeted by a very lovely young lady. I asked if they had a gluten free beer and she was polite and said no, but a guy behind her was extremely ride and said with an attitude said no. My husband was surprised, because a lot of people are gluten intolerant, and made a comment about not having an alternative that was gluten free. The girl, was very sweet and apologized that they didn't have any alternatives but the guy was a complete A"" "WE DON'T BREW IT WE DONT SERVE IT!"... Well guess what... A nice cozy brewery right on the Gig Harbor waterfront! Their beer list is short but interesting and I enjoyed the Harbor Island IPA. They have wine and cider options as well. While food is not available there were snacks available and outside food is welcomed. There is covered outside seating with some views of the harbor; seating inside includes comfy couches, plenty of spice and a nice ambience. This brewery along with 7 Seas Brewery make Gig Harbor a must stop to quaff some local beers! read more

A great little tap room in the heart of the harbor! While the beer isn't actually brewed there (just a quick jaunt over the bridge in Tacoma) this little tap room had lots to offer! The staff was super friendly and the blackberry IPA was delish! Can't wait to hang on the deck in the summer! read more

The Gig Harbor Brewing in the Harbor has a large indoor seating area and limited outdoor seating. The inside area is nice with couches and televisions. I noticed going to the one in Tacoma and then the one is Gig Harbor that the beer offerings are a little different, which is cool. You can bring food in or order for deliver. The location of this one is great for the view and walking but parking is highly competitive. Would suggest hitting the 3 breweries in one day all with in a half mile of each other. read more

Great new brewery. Very relaxed feel. Great open concept, comfy big chairs and live seats. 7 beer taps and a cider. 3 Big tvs for the games as well! Definitely will come back. Right past the Gig Harbor food trolly. Awesome place! read more

Walked into this place today on a Saturday at 4pm and the line to get a beer was 10 deep. I'm thinking, "Wow!" this place must be all that! But after waiting 10 minutes, I realize that the line was long because they had one guy pouring beers....on a Saturday? During summer? We left without getting a beer so cannot tell you how that was, but the business model needs some review. Walked over to 7 Seas and they had 4 people pouring beers and there was a minimal wait. read more

Very easy review. We have been confused but loving gig harbor brewing in Tacoma for a long time now. From beerfests, to visiting the brewery for a beer, to grabbing a beer to go. Since they opened the gig harbor location I have been wanting to visit for some time. I am glad we finally made the trip. The location is beautiful, right off the water. The beer is still really good, and the people there are awesome. We brought a large party and drank a lot and made too much noise and they were very friendly with us still. Would suggest still!! This place used to be a great bar to watch football games, especially since they advertise game days as a place where the sound is always on! But this year they have started renting out their only room for "private events" that take up most of the seating and drown out any sound of the games. Don't get me wrong, I don't fault this place for trying to make more money, but they shouldnt advertise a great game experience when they cannot provide it. If they want to throw private events I think they should either close down for them or at the very least advertise the take over rather than advertising a great game day experience. read more
