Our family (including fur babies) really like Pet Supplies Plus. We absolutely love the wash stations and use them on a regular basis. They often have great sales as well. The manager is always so nice to us and gives us great offers and coupons and such. We buy the wash punch card deal to get a better deal on washes. They also have a GREAT selection of foods that a lot of stores in the area do not have for dogs and cats. The staff is nice and kind, and they love pets. They are always willing to help, and are great at helping us find what we need and making sure the baths are ready to use. The store is independently owned and operated. It's a franchise. I highly recommend Pet Supplies Plus. It's one of the best pet stores in the West Seattle area and is run very efficiently. read more

Update: I called the store manager as suggested below. Someone named Brandon said he was manager but didn't speak like one. I told Brandon that the customer service was pretty bad and shared what happened, he proceeds to say it's likely Julia and dismissed anything said on phone and in person. He didn't listen to us and just ranted about her being good at her job and we realized he's clearly not a real store manager with any customer service experience handling grooming dept complaints. Will not return. Overpriced. There are better mobile groomers with basic customer service skills anywhere else. --------- We loved the location of this store and were excited about until we booked our pet grooming. They told us it would be two hours so we grabbed dinner and came back in couple of hours and they called and texted multiple times to tell us to come. We figured out we were the last pup and the girl wanted to close up and go home. She kept saying it was our pups age and that they aren't a kennel. Our appt was 515 and we picked her up at 719 which they said by 730. Why tell us by 730 if they were going to harass us and lecture us? Nah I'll pass on this place. Would give more than 5 stars if I could - that's how much i love this place. I can't speak for the salon so i don't have an opinion about the one star review for that, but as a shopping experience and self wash - this place is seriously the best. I was so excited when this place was opening since i was hoping for some a new variety of treats and toys that the other pet stores don't have, and they sure have a lot! Their prices are more than reasonable, and they price match! What goes above and beyond for me is - well, you can go around to different places and find dog food, toys, etc. for sure, but the employees here have always been the most lovely people i have ever met. I have an "aggressive" small dog (he likes to be protective, but not bite. he's half chihuahua and pom so you understand lol) and everyone has been so kind to him that he's warmed up to most of the employees i would say. They're all really knowledgeable, and if not, they're not afraid to admit it and go ask someone who does know. The owners (Father & Son) are also not just doing nothing either, they are at one of their 3 (?) locations every day i'd say. Really hard working owners and staff. What is the most important specifically to me and isn't really important but just a little anecdote; The other day i was so sleep deprived and out of it that when i used the self wash, one of my dogs actually escaped the enclosure and ran outside ! But everyone was SO quick to act. They took time out to come outside and make a plan to corner him so he would come back towards me - and it worked! He's literally my other half, so if anything happened i wouldn't have known what to do. I am so thankful for everyone there and will never forget how quick they were to act. This is by far the best Pet Store I have ever been to & I will never go anywhere else ever again ! The prices are reasonable and there is an amazing stock of items. I have 5 pets ! A spider, lizard , 2 cats and a dog & This pet store has been my go to for every single one of them! The service from the employees is unmatched. Every time I go there I am greeted kindly & every time I leave a worker offers to help me carry my items to my car . Every worker there is so lovely and helpful . One time I called the groomer there and she talked on the phone with me for like 30 mins giving me real genuine time and attention to answer all my questions and to give me advice ! And her advice was spot on with solving my problem! I've met the owner multiple times , he works alongside his Employees providing not only great service but also hooks it up with some really good coupons !! Spacious, clean store with very friendly staff. It's a franchise so a local family owns it. It feels good in there.... I used the dog self-wash station. The process is simple. I've also used their grooming services. The groomer we were paired with, Yang, impressed me with how kind he was to my dog when they met. Gave my dog the perfect cut. The grooming area is windowed. As we walked out to the car, a couple of staff said hello to my dog & made comments about his fur post-cut to pre-cut. I liked that - just thoughtful behavior. My dog liked the attention. read more

Great place! I never seen my dog jump so fast out of my car to go here. This place gives such a warm friendly feeling, that you don't get anywhere nowadays. I am a HUGE fan of how it's locally own and the owner really shows that he cares about the place. I rather spend my money here than the other large corporation and honestly the prices are pretty comparable and maybe even cheaper?? I have gotten our kibble here, done their self washing bath station, and their grooming services. Everybody has been super friendly and welcoming every time we came in. GROOMING SERVICE: Yang was our groomer. Since my pup is just a few months old, we did the puppy package which was just a tiny trim and nail cutting. Took 15 mins. It was around $22 and it's a good way to get them used to going to the groomers. I tried to take him earlier but they do require rabies vaccine certification which they can't get until they're at least 16 weeks old. SELF BATH SERVICE; I went around 11am Sunday morning and me and my pup were the only ones there. It was pretty well kept. They provide towels, aprons, different types of shampoos, a collar to clip them to the wall. Drying was a little difficult because the switch was off to the side. read more

This store is an amazing addition to our beloved white center neighborhood! No more driving to Burien and paying ridiculous prices to a corporate box store. I happened in on only their 2nd day open at this location and met the owner at checkout which was a cool thing to see. They truly care so much about their customers and it shows. Their selection of toys and literally everything under the sun is far and away better than any box pet store around, where most often the things we need are out of stock which has never happened to us here. My only feedback is that I wish they carried RedBarn Bully twists. Our 3 pound Yorkie likes to do everything his 70 pound pit bull big sister does and they are actually chewable for him. They have every other redbarn product it seems except for the bully twists so I still have to venture elsewhere for those. read more

We were so excited for this place to finally open and had such high hopes for all the services that this place would provide, especially, after going to their grand opening! With that being said, I had scheduled with the salon for a nail trim/electric file appointment with Amber for my doggo at 4:30pm on a Friday because that would give me time to get home from work and take the doggo over. On this Friday of my appointment (today), I get texts asking to change my appointment to an earlier time but ignored them since I was at WORK and could not change my appointment. They ended up calling me when I was leaving for work, (around 3:20pm) to inform me that they are closing early since they don't have any appointments... I told the lady on the phone I had my appointment scheduled for 4:30pm and she confirmed it was there, but asked me to move it to tomorrow because I was the last appointment.. honestly the worst customer service ever, my appointment simply did not matter to them. Lol and no, I did not reschedule for the weekend because today, after work, was my only availability to take the doggo in. Such a shame that this happened because this store had so much potential especially with this location. read more

Took my Shiba to get her nails trimmed with a bit of anxiety knowing she may not tolerate it very well. Being new to the area, we are very glad we brought her to get her services done here! Julia was very attentive and eager to give it a try knowing it may be a challenge. She was able to get all of her nails trimmed on the first try on her own, and was so sweet with her! She was able to place a soft muzzle on her fairly quickly and completed the task with ease. It's very clear she understands dogs really well and was very attentive to both the owners and the dogs anxieties. Not many places are willing to tend to reactive Shibas but Julia was the first person to give my pup a chance. She was amazing in every way and we are so thankful! read more

I would give them a 10 out of five! I have a 3 year old Doodle who hates to be groomed...has separation anxiety and a few other challenges. Yang is a gentle, sweet guy who managed my sweet wildebeest without a complaint. I can't say enough about the great job he did. It only took us 1 week to get our appointment [Unheard of in Seattle!]. We have been to every pet store in West Seattle and LOVE Pet Supplies Plus. Their staff are really friendly and their self service dog bath station is incredible. Bathing our 80 pound goldador at home has been a thorn in our side...now it's a fun adventure chore! We purchased the punch card, which makes it super affordable, too. To top off our already positive impression of the store, when there was confusion about an online purchase being out of or in stock, the owner went out of his way to make sure we had the items we needed free of charge the next day! If you want to support youth, don't spend your money at Pet Supplies Plus in Westwood Village. My 13 year old went in to buy supplies for our Guinea Pig. She was not allowed in the store. Apparently, some kids have messed with their fish so nobody under 18 is allowed in the store without an adult. At first, they, "knew nothing" when I went to buy food etc...then it was, "kids can't buy rodents." I explained she was tdying to buy food. Finally, they admitted they didn't allow young people in the store. I left my purchase on the counter and will go elsewhere. My child has her own money and is caring for her pet... We won't support this business. Discrimination of any kind is wrong. read more

Update - per their comment, I called to discuss it with the owner, who by the way, had no idea this had happened and didn't know his social media team suggested I call to discuss it. Owner said he would call me back and never did. Zero resolution to the situation. Original post - I love supporting a neighborhood owned business and was so excited that we found a local place for all of dog treats and grooming needs. My dog was groomed here several times - we had great things to say about this location. However, last time we went, I hadn't heard from the groomers after my dog was there 3+ hours so I texted for an update. 45 minutes later they let me know that my dog was having a hard time and had been biting and scratching them so they couldn't groom him or even blow dry him. They asked to keep him for another hour to see if he would calm down enough for grooming. I decided against that as this sounded extremely out of character for my dog and felt they had him way too long to not have been able to groom him or even call to tell me this was going on. When I arrived ten minutes later to pickup my dog, they explained they couldn't allow my dog to stay any longer as he was taking over appointment time from other dogs (why did they ask to keep him any longer originally?) and all I could tell was done was his back was shaved but he was still wet and had longer hair everywhere else. They offered me a 30% discount to which I asked for the owners to call and discuss fair pricing because 70% of the service was not done. The manager took my info, said the owners would call and expressed her apologies but still to this day I haven't heard from management or the owners. I honestly think they were overbooked and tried to place blame on my dog but since I haven't heard from management I really don't know what they did with my dog for over 4 hours but I do know I would not trust them with my dog ever again and my dog has yet to bite or scratch anyone else to my knowledge. read more
