We have been regular goers to Pawbillion, but after this last time we will not be going anymore. To start, the staff are lovely and kind to both us and our dog. However, multiple times now the grooming service has taken 5+ hours. The last time, we dropped our pup off at 12:40PM for a 1:00PM appointment for him not to be done until 6:00PM when Pawbillion closes. Not only did our pup take 5 hours to be groomed, but the result was poor. His head barely looked like it got worked on and his paws look like horse hooves with how they cut in between the paw pads. It is unfortunate because we have liked going and found the staff to be great to both customers and dogs. Seeing 10+ dogs leave the groomer before ours even got worked on means that our dog was sitting in a pen for at least three hours before he was attended to. And yes, we were sitting in the parking lot for 2 hours thinking our pup would be done around the 4PM timeframe (3+ hours, a more common time for a grooming) so we saw exactly how many other dogs got groomed before hours while ours just sat in a pen... If you book a customer for a 1PM appointment, then don't overbook which makes dogs just sit there. Very disappointing. read more

I'm really heartbroken writing this. Daisy, my 14-year-old dog, came in for grooming and was returned looking clean... but clearly not herself. She didn't wag her tail, didn't come to me like she usually does, and was unusually quiet. Something felt off. That night she stayed calm at home, but the next morning, after just five minutes outside, she refused to walk. I noticed her paw was swollen and inflamed. The vet said it looked like trauma or possibly a burn around the nail bed, consistent with grooming-related injury. The salon later sent a photo of Daisy after the grooming, but it doesn't show her paws at all. That felt strange. When I called to share what happened and ask for accountability, the owner was cold, dismissive, and refused to take any responsibility or even acknowledge the concern. I'm not here to point fingers, but I do want to share my experience. Daisy is healing now, but this was and still is a painful and stressful experience for both of us. The haircuts are wonderful and they always come away with cute accessories. absolutely would NOT recommend. the groomer injured my dog. I have a sweet older dog who does not complain, but i noticed the huge burn on her leg. The second I saw this I rushed her to the veteranarian who gave medication and creams. While I understand things happens, after the vet I called the groomer to share what had happened and ask that they help with the vet fees (this was not only traumatizing for my dog but also expensive). They refused... and sent me a picture of my dog after the haircut (of course you couldn't even see the leg in this picture). Absolutely refused to take any responsibility. This is the best groomer that I've ever been to. Everyone is kind, listens to your needs, and the cut always comes out perfect! They're treating the dogs well there and you often see good pups follow them around as they work. Prices are beyond reasonable for what they do as well. read more

I orginally rated this pet grooming business as 5 stars, for price/performance/availability. However, in past 6 months, the groomers seem to leave after a short time and are replaced with new ones. There's barely any time to form a relationship so that the stylist and pet-parent can understand each other as to how the pet is to be groomed. read more

I didn't plan ahead (as usual) and called asking if someone could fit Kona in the following week. I think I spoke with Paola and she was able to fit him in the next day (which bar the time was a Wednesday..?) In one of the recent photos attached you can see he is well past-due since we typically trim him at home only taking him in if absolutely needed/when his grandpawrents offer. We dropped him off around 1pm and he was done close to 6:30pm. Poor thing has high anxiety so to say the least, he was not happy when we took him home haha. Disclaimer - we give him lots of treats and love. They were short a staff member who called out that day so rather than cancelling on clients, they split the dogs amongst the ladies working and you could tell they'd were strained but still treated the dogs kindly. Cheryl groomed Kona that day and we got a kick out of her bc she doesn't sugar coat - Kona was "not good" that day as he can be very dramatic and wiggly. She was stern in a nice way towards him but you can tell she is also a perfectionist so he turned out quite round and floofy - which we loved. His coat was growing out by the next week as expected. I'd recommend taking a look a the nearby shops while waiting as there are plenty of them. read more

I've been bringing my English cream retriever in to Pawbillion for the past few years. Every groomer we've had has been great and our dog Stanley is always excited and happy when he arrives. We had a new groomer named Kay and she really did an amazing job cutting him evenly and did a great job on his feathers and ears. Highly recommend. read more

I've been coming here for a few years now and absolutely love it. Every groomer we've had has been wonderful. I'm especially grateful to now be working with Paloma who has been so caring with my dog prior to his upcoming surgery. If I could give more stars I would!! This was my rescue dog's potentially first professional groom, so I was nervous how he would behave. Paloma was sooo friendly and kind, and she made me feel completely at ease about the whole process. The Pawbillion shop is nice and clean, the environment is friendly and air conditioned (so good during a heat wave!). When I went to pick up my dog, Paloma patiently gave me a detailed summary of how everything went and gave me tips on what I can do to further desensitise my dog at home. I immediately booked my next appointment with her because 1) Buster looks so clean and smells so good after the groom, but more importantly 2) I really trust Paloma. Critical: Quality I was wanting to find a groomer who cut in the style I like and read reviews that it was great and that Min was the best. Honestly, I probably should have requested Min but I did not think about this at the time. I had a bad feeling as soon as I dropped off my dog. The lady seem unsure of her skills and that definitely made me worry. 3 hours later I got my dog with a uneven choppy hair cut. She also didn't touch her ears. She said I tried to cut it in a circle. Honestly, I was in such shock. Processing everything, I didn't understand why it was so terrible especially when reviews were great. If you didn't think that you could do it, then please express that and do not attempt it all. I would have rather have had it trimmed regularly. So far, so good. I read every review of every place i take my dog, on a regular basis, and one thing that is the most important for me, is that my dog goes in and comes out healthy and well treated. The hairstyle and wether it was too short or roo long, is less of a factor as long as she gets the hair cut and nails trimmed. the way my dog gets treated (well or hurt, traumatized, etc) , is such an important factor, knowing that there are people out there who don't do their best, who don't bring their 100% to work in every industry and every occupation. Please continue to care for the dogs and their mental and physical health while cutting their fur and nails. I'll keep updating my reviews. Found Pawbillion a few years ago & never looked back! Their staff is professional, gentle with my dog, and their work is excellent. I've used several groomers, and each one is great. There can be long booking times, but it's because they're actually good & it's worth the wait. My anxious rescue hates grooming obviously, and always would shake like a leaf even just pulling into the parking lot. I appreciate that the groomers have put in the effort to make him comfortable to the point that he seems happy to see them. I've never seen him so comfortable with grooming- what else can you ask for as a pet owner? I drive from Seattle to go here, and it's totally worth it. Pricing is super reasonable too, especially considering it's in Bellevue. I really love Pawbillion, am grateful to them, and have no plans of ever using another groomer!! read more

We've been coming here for a few years since we moved to Bellevue with our corgi, Hiccup. As a double coated dog, it's important that we trim as little of his fur as possible, but as a fluffy, he gets really long toe and belly furs. We've always had a good groom and trim from Pawbillion and they make sure to trim only the essential areas we've asked. Also, he smells AMAZING and is sooo soft when he's done! We've taken our mini labradoodle here twice in the past 4 months or so and had an amazing first experience and a bit of a mixed experience the second time. They do a great job giving a teddy bear look to doodles and they really do seem to care about the dogs and take pride in their work. The first time we took our puppy, they did a fantastic job. They talked through the process and kept us updated and gave him an incredible cut and told us roughly 3-4 hours. The second time we dropped him off at 11a and were told the same time. About three and a half hours later I called to check in and they mentioned he had been bathed, but was not yet on the table to be groomed. We swung by about 30 mins later just to check in since we were in the area. They told us about an hour left so we went home and ended up calling them after not hearing anything for almost 2 hours. The owner let us know that he had some mats that weren't seen until this stage of grooming and that it would be another 30-45 minutes. We definitely take responsibility for his mats because he's growing out of his puppy coat and had been swimming a lot with not as much routine brushing. We ended up picking him up around 5:30 so he was there about 6 and a half hours total. We honestly wonder if they just overbooked themselves as we dropped our dog off for his appointment at the same time as another. The owner, Min, was very kind and explained why the grooming took as long as it did and gave us some pointers. They did not charge us any extra for having to de-mat him. Overall I didn't mind the amount of time they spent grooming him, just that in 3.5 hours he had only had a bath from what I was told and when we got home he bolted to the water dish and guzzled down a TON of water so I worry he didn't really get any or much at all while there. :( We really love the way they cut him and they've always been really nice so we want to give them another chance, but we were a bit disappointed in our second experience. I think they do a great job, but maybe there is an issue with scheduling/overbooking appointments? read more

I booked an appointment for my Cavapoo months ago. My husband took the day off to take her to her appointment on 12/30/21. I emailed her vaccination records and also asked if they will be open if it snows. I never received a response. We assumed the appointment was still happening since they didn't contact us.
