Phil's first day report card and postcard!
    Sarah H.

I'm so impressed with Dogtopia in Redmond! After 4 months on the waitlist, I can now see why this place is such a huge success and in so high demand! You know that when you leave your furchild here, he's in the best care possible! The process for onboarding is thorough and informativ, starting with a webconference walkthrough by Dogtopia's owner Allison, then followed by a Meet n Greet day to assess your pet. I'm so relieved that my dog Phil did so well on his first day, especially since he hasn't gotten much socializing during the pandemic. Looking forward to sending Phil here more frequently! Phil comes home happy and exhausted.

Our standard bernedoodles started enjoying Dogtopia of Redmond a little over a year ago. We were spoiled by our last daycare and boarding facility in the DC-area. We visited and sent our girls through consults at several daycare facilities in Bellevue/Redmond, but Dogtopia is absolutely the only facility that provides our dogs a safe and CLEAN environment. Allison and her team remain consistent and professional at all times, with the the dogs' safety as the top priority. We're moving in several months and already visited the Dogtopia location near our soon-to-be home. Dogtopia of Redmond developed a loyal Dogtopia customer (us)! And don't forget to checkout their bathing services! You can send your furry children to daycare and bring them home fresh and clean.

I spent months doing research looking for the best fit for Zach my little Maltipoo. He has separation anxiety and can't be left alone for more than 30 minutes without whining , barking and not to mention jumping on the counters. The entire team is amazing! I am so grateful for the Love and kindness they have given him, he's even learned to sit on command which is a huge achievement! My mom calls it "doggy school". I highly recommend Redmond Dogtopia, a great fit for any pooch big or small

It's been a 'ruff day playing! But I always have a paw-sitive attitude.

We recently adopted a rescue dog, Orzo, and discovered Dogtopia which recently opened in Bellevue…read more When were first debating on using Dogtopia, we were provided a thorough tour - comparable to a daycare tour. We have been pleased bringing Orzo here 2x a week so far even though my husband and I both work from home. When Orzo comes back, he is SO tired so we know he's had a full day of play with other dogs. This has helped him with his chewing problem at home when we aren't able to exercise him the amount he would prefer. Everybody we have encountered at Dogtopia knows and loves Orzo. We attended a pride event in Downtown Bellevue and when he got to the Dogtopia stall, he recognized everybody and vice versa. This was only after a couple of months of going to Dogtopia. So far, the staff have been responsive to emailing and calling us back when we have inquiries. They also have grooming and boarding services, which we've utilized. Easy parking for drop off and pick up and flexible if we ever need to switch dates. Unlimited webcam access when they are at the doggy daycare so you can see what they are up to. Can't ask for more!

This is a long awaited review for Dogtopia in the Overlake area of Bellevue. I had my little Rocco…read morein their care for a few weeks. Generally I had been satisfied with their care. However there came a day when their care didn't meet my standards. Rocco is a toy Yorkie; he's very small. In fact, was the smallest dog in their small dog area. On the particular day in question, I noticed via their webcam that at least one, maybe two other dogs, were bullying him. I did not care for the lack of quick resolve for this, and I had communicated it. I believe it was the same day or nearly the same day, I observed the same in person. Upon giving their staff my concerns, he was shortly thereafter dismissed from daycare. After receiving a barrage of cancellation emails from Dogtopia, their owner had the audacity of emailing me instead of just calling. She provided a very passive aggressive letter, cc'ing different people as well. Rather than taking responsibility, she decided to kick him out of daycare. This was unacceptable, and I had responded a few days following the receipt of her email. You can find her email in full below: ------ Dear Mr. Marker: Rocco is a wonderful dog, and we have truly loved having him in our playrooms. It troubles me to hear, however, that you are unhappy with our services. Given your dissatisfaction with our open-play design, with our approach to safety, and with our staff, we believe that another care environment may be a better match for you. We emphatically want every family to feel confident and comfortable in their daycare choice. As your clearly displayed displeasure demonstrates, we are evidently not the right fit for you and thus we are unlikely to meet your expectations in the long term. We will miss Rocco, but we genuinely hope you find a daycare or care arrangement that aligns with what you're wanting. We wish you both the very best. Wishing you joy, Allison Christian Rau, owner Dogtopia of Redmond and Dogtopia of Bellevue Phone: Redmond (425) 201-7373, Bellevue (425) 516-7676 Website: Redmond | Bellevue ----- All that had to be done was an acknowledgment of my concerns, in the moment, and a greater level of attentiveness. This business clearly doesn't respond well to criticism. They opted for the easy way out instead of just working through the issues. I had no issues with their "open-play design"; it was their level of attentiveness. Rocco was not the aggressor here, rather it was the slightly larger dogs in their care. Unfortunately, I must advise you, the reader, that if you have a small dog, I would not recommend this daycare as a result of my experience.

The facility is absolutely stunning with an open concept design so you can see all of the cats & where they are at any given time. The suites are huge & have custom built in cat trees with other fancy amenities & full yard views of the wooded and pristinely manicured gardens. The inn keeper Amy is at the facility 24/7 monitoring and snuggling the cats. We met the owner who is clearly a feline finattic and has poured her heart into designing the perfect feline experience. She even has special air circulation to help keep the cats calm & content. This place is adorable with all the amenities you could ever want for your kitty, it seriously looks like a spa for humans inside, we look forward to visiting again soon!

I absolutely love Keiko Swanberg; she is a highly experienced and incredibly positive certified trainer. Her teaching style makes a world of difference, and the progress seen in the classes is a testament to her expertise! However, the facility itself leaves much to be desired. The space is consistently dirty and unkempt. There is a very noticeable smell, and dog hair accumulates heavily in all the corners and along the edges of the room. It is disappointing to have such a high-quality trainer working in an environment that feels so neglected. I hope the management prioritizes a deep clean soon to match the caliber of their instructors.

I am not much of a Yelper but decided to leave a comment on here in addition to my Google review…read more Our pup Indie has been going to Jax Riverdog for nearly 2 years. Indie requires some extra attention and care due to some injuries and food sensitivities, and when Carolyn and Kim were there- she definitely received all the love and attention! Indie knows Jason very well and enjoys his company, and I believe she is slowly warming up to some of the newer staff (she is a particular pup.) Indie always comes back exhausted from camp, and we always love seeing photos of he on her walks, or playing games, or, her favorite, getting pup cups! The team at Jax, especially the Companion Camp have always been informative and caring and we know that Indie is in good hands here, when there were days her arthritis was acting up, the Jax team was quick to contact us, and let us know how she was doing so we could determine if she should just rest, or if we should come get her. She also wears a brace (for her arthritis) when she is active- so Jax has been very understanding in learning how to put it on her, and when it should be used. We have also given her a bath in their facilities (wish it was open on weekends but understand that requires additional staffing) We are currently taking our 2nd class on K9 Nosework with Austin on the weekends - and she loves it! We have had positive experiences at Jax and truly appreciate all of the folks that look after her when she is in their care.
