This is bar far the best cat boarding homes that I have ever seen. My cat is very afraid all of the time and I was afraid of him sitting in a cage all day just shaking from hearing barking from dogs being boarded. They only take cats and they are never in a cage, they each have a little room, usually with a window and a little tree or something to climb and scratch. Nancy fell in love with my boy Liam and he allowed her to brush him and seemed very happy by all the pictures I got. You hear of all these sitting services never showing up to feed or play with animals and my family had a tragedy happen when a boarding service kept our dog in a cage instead of the run we ordered, and something horrific happened so I will forever be scared. Nancy understands how much we love our cats and how worried we get for our little bundles of dopamine. I will always recommend Snuggles! The house is clean and well looked after and there is clear plexiglass between the kitty rooms and my cat just stared at the other cats. No fights or hissing. I'm choosing to update my review of caution that this family is doling out veterinary advice, telling potential clients not to trust their vets, and indeed making statements about human medical advice. I originally gave a neutral rating...until they wrote me a long letter containing nasty personal attacks, sarcasm, and shaming language for me talking to my vet and making my own decisions with my pet. This is quite an unprofessional way of conducting a business. Stay far away from Snuggles Inn. There are so many more professionally conducted choices out there. read more

We recently lost our beloved kitty, Miranda to health complications due to old age. While she was alive though, Snuggles was the only place we felt safe leaving her when we went on vacation. Before we discovered Snuggles we had tried to make pet sitters work and would come back to piles of kitty puke and a sick, sad kitty. It was a blessing to discover Snuggles and having a caring, calm place to board her. We felt good knowing she'd have a large, walk-in closet space to herself, a window to watch birds from, and Nancy and Jerry to spend time with her. I would happily recommend Snuggles Inn to any cat owner. It is the best and perhaps only option if you have an older cat or a cat with a medical condition that needs more care than a Petsitter can provide. read more

There was another low review that I can agree with. From the start they were a little tricky with pick up times, but a lot of places were out for the holidays. The owner that was the man was nice, but made me feel judged by going a little further than what he should've when it came to my cats food. When I picked them up I realized he had not given them any of the dry food I had packed and then on the instructuons sheet I made he wrote a website address for a cats health page. I felt so upset and feel like he judges people in the way they raise there cats. No one is perfect and you should never make them feel bad about the way they all try to work hard and take care of their babies. read more

Snuggles Inn offered the perfect home away from home for my two older cats during my 5 week home remodel. I got regular updates and photos on how they were fitting in. The kitties settled into their spacious, immaculate room, with ease. Daily they were invited into the main home for special attention. On day 10, keen observation led to me being notified, and then Kitka being taken to their Vet for an UTI. I was promptly called by the Cottage Lake Vet Clinic & effective treatment begun. Two weeks later, I went out and took Kitka for her follow up visit to the Vet. I highly recommend Snuggles Inn and plan for return visits. read more

Nancy and Jerry were amazing! They took me in on short notice and my two kitties were calmer when I picked them up from when I dropped them off :-) And we also had a great chat about cats in general. This was the perfect spot for our cat while we were away for a few weeks. He got lots of cuddle time and great attention to detail with his medicine and food. We appreciated Nancy's suggestions for changes to our cat's diet, and they helped him put on weight, which we had been trying to do for years! We were open to trying new things for our cat, but do be sure to be clear if you do not want your cat fed anything other than the food you provide. Nancy and Jerry put an immense amount of love and attention into taking care of feline babies. They know so much about cats, and are so open to sharing their knowledge. They taught me to rightly proportion my cat's food and gave great suggestions for food and litter brands. My cat is not the most social and is pretty timid. But speaking to Nancy and Jerry allayed whatever fears I had about leaving her at Snuggles Inn. The cats get their own little rooms which a human can walk into. They get to snuggle and play and explore. The payment process was smooth. The pickup and drop off went well too. I cannot speak highly enough of this wonderful couple running Snuggles Inn. Our bratty orange tabby, Lester had such a great time he didn't even want to leave. If we were still in the Seattle area, I wouldn't hesitate to bring him back any time. We were in the middle of the moving process from Seattle to Milwaukee. We had 10 days after we left our apartment in Seattle before we began the drive to Milwaukee and we took our dogs camping. We needed a place to board Lester, something we'd never done, and anxiously looked for a good place to board him. We found Snuggles Inn and I can't believe how great it was. Like any pet parent, we were nervous about leaving him for such a long time. He's a resilient cat, but still, you can't help it. Nancy showed us around their house and all of their cat accommodations. What a great set up! They have all these little rooms with everything a cat could desire - climbing trees, perches ranging in height from the floor to the ceiling, toys, and, of course, a nice clean commode. Lester went in and made himself right at home (so much for a sad farewell). When we picked him up, Jerry met us at the door and said "Let's discuss whether or not we're going to give him back to you". They had so much fun with our precious little brat, they wanted to keep him! It was obvious they spent a lot of time with him and Lester wasn't at all deprived of attention. Jerry told us all about Lester's personality and quirky traits, showing us just how well he got to know our cat, and also how well he understands cats in general. Lester was just as happy as can be and would have been happy to have stayed their longer! I'm so glad we discovered Snuggles Inn and I very highly recommend them to any other anxious cat parents needing to board their little one. read more

Before I get started, here's the tl;dr version: Our cat wouldn't be alive today if it wasn't for Nancy and Jerry. During Percy's first stay at the Snuggles Inn, Nancy and Jerry gave us a tour and man, the photos online undersell how nice the place is. No crates or cages, but clean, well-lit rooms for each kitty to chill in. They gave us tips on nutrition and showed us the garden. You could tell that this was more than just a business to them, and we left there feeling comfortable. When I came to pick Percy up a few days later, he didn't want to leave, and I couldn't blame him! We decided that Percy wouldn't stay anywhere else unless he had to, even with the hour-and-a-half drive. ... and that decision paid off. We had left for a road trip and dropped Percy off, noting that his vet said his white blood cell count was a bit low. When Percy stopped eating, they got worried and (with our permission) took him to their vet. It turned out that he was critically anemic and in really bad shape. They were able to get Percy the care he needed and basically saved his life by doing so. I've seen a lot of "luxury cat hotels" online and in person that are more like sketchy roadside hotels. I've known people whose pets have died while boarded, which is why I've always put as much thought into where Percy stays as I do in my own lodging. I can't imagine letting Percy (or any future cats) stay anywhere other than with Nancy and Jerry. They're above and beyond, truly. read more

I cannot begin to tell you how amazing my experience was. I've already booked my cat for another stay and know that I don't have to worry about a thing while I'm gone. I agree 100% (OK, 200%) with Courtney's review. My cat Missy is 13 years old and the older she gets, the more skittish she becomes. I didn't have the heart to bring her to a typical boarding facility for the reasons Courtney mentioned and also because I felt it was likely to be noisy and somewhat chaotic, which would make her very nervous. She is also prone to seizures occasionally, so I figured my only option was to hire a pet sitter. The problem with that is that I have been the target of a "neighbor from Hell" for the past 5 years and I didn't want to tip him off that I would be out of town by having a pet sitter coming and going. Also, I didn't want to have to worry about the sitter possibly forgetting to reset the alarm, so I was very excited to find Snuggles Inn here on Yelp. When I initially contacted Snuggles Inn, Nancy spent a great deal of time answering my questions and explaining their facility and requirements. (My vet was very impressed that they require proof of immunization, as was I, and she said that "these people really know what they are doing." She couldn't have been more correct!) Also, being a bit of a worrier, I had asked Nancy for references, which she was more than willing to provide, but when I mentioned Courtney's Yelp review, Nancy immediately told me a couple of cute stories about Courtney's cats, so I told her to forget the references - I just knew I had found the right place and people to take care of my girl! Nancy and Jerry are the sweetest and loveliest people I have met in a long time and their home is so beautiful, warm, and loving. When I brought Missy to them, Jerry immediately scooped her up and cuddled and cooed at her. Now, Missy is not the most demonstrative cat - she even resists my attempts at affection sometimes, but she didn't resist Jerry at all! I truly believe he is a "cat whisperer" ;-) Nancy also shot a two-minute video and e-mailed it to me so that I could see how Missy was getting along while I was away. So incredibly sweet and thoughtful! I had informed Nancy and Jerry that Missy has seizures occasionally and unfortunately, she did have one while she was there, which was in no way anyone's fault. It just happens sometimes and and all I can do is make sure she doesn't hurt herself and be there to comfort her when it's over. That is exactly what Jerry did and I am so glad he was there for her. He immediately called my vet and then called me to let me know what happened. I could tell he felt just terrible about it - so much so that I was more worried about him than about Missy! When I arrived back home and picked Missy up, both Nancy and Jerry said that they hated to see her go and I believe them. Missy was even giving Jerry kisses, which as I mentioned, is not her usual style! She has adjusted to being back home now, but I think she misses Nancy and Jerry a lot. Like Courtney, I will be arranging my future travel plans around Snuggles Inn's availability. What a gem! read more

One of our cats didn't do well in the transport and even took him to a vet (twice!) for us because we couldn't be there. I love the Snuggles Inn! This is the nicest place you could ever take your tiny little cat friend for their own personal vacation, while you are on yours. The accommodations are very nice. You can get a single cat luxury suite or they have larger rooms for multi-cat families, too. There is also a fully enclosed garden which my cat loves, especially since the rest of the time she is an indoor only kitty. My cat is a happy kitty when I go to pick her up, not depressed and sluggish like at those horrible cage-like cat boarding facilities. I wouldn't even think of taking my cat anywhere else, now that she's been in the incredible care that Nancy and Jerry offer. So, do I recommend the Snuggles Inn? I'm quite confident this is the best place to board cats in the greater Seattle area. As a former veterinary assistant and pet groomer I've spent a lot of time behind the scenes at boarding kennels of all types so when we found ourselves needing to leave our 16 year old cat alone for longer than we felt comfortable with just a pet sitter coming to check on her a few times a day I really agonized over where we could leave her. I know for a fact not all places that look good on the outside are actually good on the inside and I wasn't sure how the "trauma" of being boarded anywhere, no matter how nice, would affect her since she has been significantly needier since our elderly dog died earlier this year... Well, we found Snuggles Inn and when we dropped her off the owners took a lot of time giving me a tour and letting me see how happy all their kitty guests were. This tour was unnecessary though, because as soon as I walked in the door I got a sense of what wonderful animal lovers these people are. :) When we adopted Lily a few years ago she took several weeks to warm up to us, preferring to hide under the furniture whenever we approached, but by the time I said good-bye to her just 20 minutes after we arrived, she had already walked out of her open carrier and over to Nancy to say hello. AMAZING. The real proof of how stress-free a boarding experience she had is how completely calm and relaxed she was when I picked her up nearly 2 weeks later. I know cats tend to be aloof as a matter of course, but Lily walked over to me from where she had been sitting looking out the window, rubbed my legs to let me know she recognized me, and then walked over to the middle of the room to use the cat scratcher before flopping over in the middle of the family room. Trust me, she was in NO hurry to leave. When we returned home, it was as if she had never left. No unusual neediness or skittishness or even extra excitement to be home, nothing. She is perfectly happy and content just like I KNOW she was at Snuggles Inn. Great place, great people, cats love it. read more

It's like having your cat stay at a favorite relative's home. Spacious rooms, lots of individual attention and playtime, special attention to dietary and health needs, a beautiful safe enclosed outdoor area where even the most shy indoor cats can explore safely. Nancy and Jerry love our cat as their own, and recently have taken on his health issues with a very holistic and hands on approach, offering guidance and support as we work with our vet to improve his condition. I cannot say enough good things about Snuggles Inn, but I will try to provide a comprehensive review, and explain why, I personally, would never take my cats anywhere else--not even if you paid me. We've left our two cats with Nancy and Jerry twice now--once for about a week and then the second time for three weeks while my husband and I were on our honeymoon. Taking our little ones there is a completely different experience than boarding them anywhere else, or hiring a pet sitter, and we've looked into all of the options in Western Washington. Pet sitters usually only come by once a day, and then you pay extra if you want them to spend extra time with the cats, and you have no way of verifying whether they did spend the time or not. We have boarded our cats at the Petsmart PetsHotel once before, and once we found Snuggles Inn, we immediately realized that it is a night and day difference compared to anywhere else. Nancy and Jerry take such wonderful care of our cats, and they genuinely enjoy having them--it is obvious from the moment you meet them. In fact, our cats don't even want to come home--they are treated like absolute royalty at Snuggles. The entire, enclosed downstairs cat "living room", the cat condos, and an enclosed, safely secured outdoor garden are the cats' stomping grounds while we are gone. Snuggles provides such loving care, and extra time with the cats that they would NEVER receive if we boarded them in a petshotel or a vet's boarding facility. The condos where they sleep at night or lounge during the day are very spacious, and each has a unique offering like a window or a special cat house. The living room abounds with toys and special cat hideouts that our little ones just adore. To our delight, we learned that the cats never mix with other cats, so they are not fearful or nervous (they only take three "cat families" at one time so they make sure they care for them like they're their own), and each cat gets lots of individualized, constant attention, so if you only have one cat they are still given tons of attention and love--brushing, play time, cuddling, tv-watching. Someone is there first thing in the morning, and last thing at night, and because Nancy and Jerry live there, they are able to aid the cats if something were to go wrong over night (unlikely, but it always scared me that all the animals were locked up and left alone in a commercial boarding facility overnight or that your pets would be left alone entirely with a pet sitter until they showed up for their next visit). Most importantly, dropping our cats off at Snuggles does not feel like dropping them off at any other boarding facility--Nancy and Jerry spend extra time showing you where your furry family member will stay, talking to you, letting you spend time with your cat, answering questions, etc. It's like leaving them with a dear family member or trusted friend, instead of feeling like the hourly employee you are leaving your cats with just wants 5:00 to roll around so that they can go home. Really, it's a world of difference, and the cats are so much happier and healthier for it. Now, we plan our travel around Snuggles Inn's availability--if they can't take our cats, we simply won't leave them with anyone else. I can't recommend Snuggles Inn highly enough. read more

Nancy and Jerry are cat whispers! They are such caring people that know more about cats than most vets. Their natural approach is refreshing. Jerry has gone out of his way to provide information on diet/food for my cat. He is so knowledgeable and helpful. It's nice to be able to leave home and know that your cat is in great hands. Their kitty condo areas are comfortable, clean and the glass doors provided endless entertainment. I couldn't believe after the week, to find out my cat was on Jerry's lap which is a rarity. Since I had never boarded my cat before, I was unaware of the vaccination requirements. Nancy walked me thru the requirements and it was very simple. My cat had his vaccinations all up to date, so all I needed to do was get a copy from the vet and forward it to Nancy. I dropped off my cat Mr. Darcy the evening before my trip, Nancy had us stay about 20 minutes to help get Mr. Darcy adjusted. She was easy to talk to and you could tell she loves cats. The first thing I noticed was how clean and spacious the cat rooms were. Nothing like some of the websites with rows of small cages. I knew right away that we had made a great choice. Nancy spends time each day interacting and snuggling with each cat. When we returned to pick up Mr. Darcy you could see that he had been well loved. He had been combed, and was quite content to stay with Jerry, who had also given Mr. Darcy much love and attention. The whole experience was very positive. Definitely Five Stars! read more

My cat has been to Snuggles Inn 2x. The first time, things went very well. Just like everyone says, the layout of the place is great and its very obvious Nancy & Jerry love cats. However the second time, recently, they made a decision on their own, without contacting me, to introduce my cat to raw food. I was told, "they tried all week to change his food and finally he ate some of it." Then, I was told he had the runs, so that is why they did it. I asked them about this and there was inconsistent answers. They also (with my knowing) changed the litter. Along with the barking dog, my cat was very unhappy and starving when I got him back. I was not going to write a review because I do believe their intention is good and it is likely one of the best places around for comfort and physical safety. However, I just learned that two other people had similar experiences. Litter changed and raw food introduced after a blood stool, all this without notification or permission. The food really concerns me for a lot of reasons. We all take VERY good care of our cats. For example I have tried several times with my VET's overseeing to try raw diet. My cat does not want it. He is very healthy and I feed him high end food from Mud Bay. The diarrhea was likely from the change of litter and location and being around a dog - I really should have been notified. So, I do feel your cat will be ok here, probably just fine, however, you should know that the caretakers make these types of decisions on their own. If you have a raw food cat, this would be a great place for you. read more
