We have now been using Whisker Sitter for 3 years and absolutely LOVE them. Todd and Barb are a great team. Our black lab had a limp before we left for a week and upon return, healed! We responded to a flyer posted advertising the Whisker Sitter's services a couple years ago. I checked many references Barb provided and felt comfortable moving ahead using Todd as our sitter. We had to leave our 2.5 month puppy for over a week, along with our other pets, so we were picky! This little dog was just beginning to bond with us and we were feeling so guilty about that, fearing he'd forget about us when we returned. Luckily Todd stepped in for full time overnight stays and the pets could stay home with a very kind sitter. We received tons of pictures and updates from Todd during the vacation, as we always have each time we have hired him after that. Todd has taken care of things promptly that have happened during his stays...a dead possum in the backyard, a fallen tree, etc. Barb is extremely prompt and responsive for scheduling and schedule change requests. Barb and Todd are incredibly reliable, friendly, trustworthy pet lovers. I have been using the Whisker Sitter for over 3 years now and I could not be happier that I found them. Todd walks our 2 dogs 2 - 4 times a week and has house sat for us on many occasions for a one night stay or when we go away for a few weeks on vacations. He takes such incredible care of our pups and when he house sits for us our home is always left exactly how it was before we went away and many times it is even cleaner then before we left. In addition to walking the pups while house sitting he also makes sure the lawn and plants are watered, brings in the mail, newspaper and Will even help with light house keeping too!! He also sends us daily or every other day updates and photos of the pups to let us know how things are going. They have helped us out on many last minutes situations when we were not able to make it home to feed the pups dinner or when we needed to stay an extra night. What brings me the biggest smile is when Todd knocks on the door to take the dogs for a walk both pups race to the door with a big smile on their face and their tails wagging as they are so excited to see him. He treats them as they were his own. We were recently married and Todd brought the pups to the wedding venue for wedding pictures and then brought the pups back home. Barb and Todd of The Whisker Sitter, truley loved and cared for my 2 cats for over a month while I was overseas. I strongly recommend these sitters to provide loving care for your pets while you are away. They truly spent time with my cats while I was away as it showed in my cats once I returned. I will be using The Whisker Sitters (Barb and Todd) again. I have a diabetic cat and haven't been on vacation in over 2 years. I didn't think anybody would look after my diabetic cat like I do. My cat requires 2 shots a day, 12 hours apart. Todd and Barb showed they had prior experience with diabetic pet sitting and made me at ease. I recieved updates and pictures once a week via email and text. Barb and Todd would have provided daily updates if I wanted. Great communicators both via email and text. read more

I have used The Whisker Sitter for pet care for over a decade. Barb is reliable, trustworthy, and experienced with all types of animals and is prepared to handle whatever is needed. Over the years, she has made sure my cats get needed medications and all the pets get fed and walked as needed. She also collects mail and packages and makes sure the house looks "lived in," when you're away. I've had to call very last-minute a couple of times and Barb has made sure everything is taken care of when I was unexpectedly detailed. If I could give zero stars I would. Barbara Chilson forgot to feed my cats. I even confirmed with her the day we left and she did not show up for the two days that we were gone. My cats had no food or water. Incompetent to say the least. Thank God my cats were alive. This is her biggest mistake since we hired her, but by far not her only mistake. She will also her son come pet sit, but doesn't mention this to you. We only found out the he was in our home because he needed a key. She also damaged our gardening system. Never again...buyer beware. read more

Barb and Todd were very reliable taking care of my cats for over 2 weeks. The areas around the food and litterboxes were cleaner than when I had left. They were also very flexible when I had to reschedule multiple times. It's very clear that they love animals. I received pictures regularly of my pets and they were very friendly with Todd. read more

Barb is wonderful, communicative, and responsible. I felt very at ease leaving her to care for my cats. She would frequently give me updates and photos or videos of them when I was away, which I always appreciated. Unfortunately I am not able to use her now since I have moved outside her area, and I am very bummed. But I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a new sitter! read more
