Anybody looking for a responsible and caring person to take care of their dogs should seriously consider working with Shelby. My wife and I was looking for someone to take care of our 2 kids, a Siberian Husky and a Maltese, and have them join us for our wedding ceremony and Shelby from Keeping Up with Jack was the ONLY person who was willing to do that. We met Shelby to discuss the general flow, what we wanted and how she could help us. She also attended our wedding rehearsal to get to know the venue. I could thank Shelby enough for doing this for us because being able to have our 2 dogs joining us on our wedding day was simply priceless! While we were trying to take photos with our dogs after the ceremony, they were distracted by all the people around them and were not looking at the camera. Shelby improvised and got them to pay attention to her while she was standing behind our photographer. That got us some wonderful shots with our 2 dogs. We've used the services of KUWJ for our cats during the 2.5 years we've lived in Bothell. Sadly we are moving away from the area, but they have kept our kitties well taken care of on many occasions, including a long two-week trip where we were out of the country. I have used keeping up with jack's dog walking service for 3 weeks now. I can confidently say that my two dogs and my family have been incredibly grateful to Shelby and impressed with her business. She did a complementary meet at my home with my dogs to learn more about them, their corks and what we hoped to gain. She uses a great app for conversations, scheduling, photos and payments that have made it an easy and smooth process. I love that the app actually shows where about's they walked. Shelby is incredibly considerate and always follows up with a message and photo once she leaves which is always nice to see when at work. I opted to hire keeping up with Jack because I started a new job that was going to keep me away from home 12-13hrs in a day and I'm so pleased and grateful to report that, while they are still excited to see me when I get home, I can tell that they received adequate exercise that day as they do not have any pent-up energy or frustration. I hate writing this kind of review and I don't do this unless I feel like it is providing helpful information. I have been using this company for about a year to walk my older dog. They have been just fine until recently when I adopted a puppy. First of all, they raised their already high rates for just adding on one more dog to the regular 30 minute daily walk. This is fine because anyone can choose what they charge for services. But since they more expensive than any other service in the area, I would expect above average service. Last week, one of their walkers (not the owner, different people come all the time) came in and took my puppy out of his pen for his walk. When she returned, I saw on the puppy-cam that she did not check his pen to see if he had an accident (which he did) and if he still had water. I reached out to ask if she had checked and she said no but she would return in about half an hour, which she did. This time, when she left, she did not properly close the gate to his pen. He was able to get out and I had to rush home midday to make sure that he did not hurt himself. I was very disappointed that, when I reported this to the owner, I did not receive any form of apology. As a matter of fact, they still charged me for this visit! I know that anyone can make a mistake, but this is not an acceptable mistake when caring for other people's pets. Sadly, I cannot recommend this company. read more

I believe Shelby has taken care of our fur babies a few times now, over a couple years, while me and my family have been out of town (we have two cats and a dog). What a find we have in Shelby! We used Keeping up with Jack for 8 days for the first time last month. We couldn't have been more pleased with Shelby!! We have 2 cats, one who is elderly and needs medications 2 times per day. She came twice a day, and each time sent pictures of our kitties with an update. It was so nice knowing that our precious kitties were being well cared for and loved. Shelby and Joseph have been a godsend since we brought our new puppy home, helping do check-ins and potty breaks throughout the day while we're at work. They are super responsive, reliable and professional - we know our 4-month-old Goldendoodle is in the best hands and that's worth everything in the world. We love the updates and photos they provide after each visit. I'm always amazed at the variety of activities they come up with to keep our little pup engaged when they take her out. Their online scheduling system is easy to use, and I like that you can see their schedule a couple of weeks out. Even when Snowpocalypse hit, Shelby and Joseph were flexible and there when needed (at one point tackling our giant hill on foot to get to our house!)
