I started working with Calling All Paws Pet Care in February 2014 when I found them on Care.com. When they came to my home the first time, they were professional and seemed to have a genuine interest in caring for my animals. She even stated that they contact the pet owners everyday and provide pictures and videos of the pets to let the owner know that everything was okay. I hired them a total of seven times for overnight dog sitting. I started experiencing issues with them in March 2015.
I emailed Jenna on March 27, 2015 asking if she could provide overnight pet sitting care from April 9-12, 2015. No response. I texted her on March 30, 2015 asking she had received my email. She responded that day saying she had not read my email and blamed her colleague saying that Caroline is in charge of the emails (even though Jenna had been emailing me back for the last year). She said she could care for my animals from April 9-12. The day before I was scheduled to travel I realized I hadn't heard from Jenna confirming her dog sitting appointment. I texted her on April 8, 2015 asking if she was still coming. No response. The day I'm scheduled to travel (for my brother's wedding in a different state) I text her again pleading for her to get back to me. She texted me back two hours later saying she got my text. The first night I'm out of town I never received an update from her. I text Jenna the evening of April 9 asking if my animals were okay. No response. I text her the morning of April 10 saying she is worrying me because I haven't heard from her. No response. I called her and left a message, I emailed her... no response. On April 11, I called my boyfriend and asked him to go by my place to check on the animals. He said none of the animals had food or water and the dogs had gone to the bathroom all over the floor as if they hadn't been let out. For the remainder of my trip, my boyfriend had to go over and care for my pets. They were without food and water for almost two days.
My cocker spaniel required daily medication to prevent seizures. Because of Jenna, my cocker spaniel might now have a seizure because she was without her medication and my animals would've starved if I hadn't asked my boyfriend to go check on them.
Though I can't prove this, it is my opinion that the owners of this company do a good job the first couple of times to get pictures of the animals for their website and to get good reviews from clients. After that, they agree to pet sit for you but never actually do until the day before you come home to collect their money, which they require up front and make it look like they were there.
Jenna Somers is a fraud, a thief for taking money for services she never performs, and a monster for neglecting animals she was responsible for taking care of. read more
