TLDR: She will cancel on you at the last minute if you deviate from her rules, leaving you potentially out hundreds of dollars or scrambling for last minute boarding elsewhere which isn't exactly great for your cat. We have never once been late with a deposit (except when a cheque got lost in the mail Xmas 2020 when there were known USPS issues) and we sorted that out right away. I admit that there might have been some confusion. In your previous bookings you have specifically specified the amount due at drop off. Twice in your emails this time, the amount you stated specifically mentioned the total amount and stated due at drop off. My husband and I have been dealing with a family emergency so we thought we were all right paying the full amount at drop off since you hadn't indicated otherwise. For some reason, that i can't fathom, this entire booking has felt adversarial. When we asked if we could drop off sooner because you specifically describe your hours as "preferred", we were met with a one word email reply "NO." Your previous email regarding medication implied that we somehow lied about her taking pill pockets. Now, when my husband calls you to try and sort out this mess- of which I was only aware of because I was checking my email to make sure I had the correct amount for the cheque to give to you later today) you tell him that you have no more space and hang up on him. I'm sorry, but what exactly did we do to deserve this type of treatment, besides being a loyal customer for nearly ten years? You have left us completely high and dry, scrambling to find boarding for our 18-year old cat, on a Sunday, which I am sure you are well aware of. How exactly is this good for her welfare? I previously left Kitty at another facility and she used to come back so stressed out and unhappy and usually either caught a cold or came home with one (maybe due to the stress?). At PurrInn they respected that Kitty didn't really like other cats and did what they could to minimize Kitty's stress. Every cat gets some play time every day and Kitty didn't come home starved for attention!! If you're short on time there are cats who roam the shop, but if you have littles I highly recommend coaching them how to approach a cat prior to coming into the store. Street parking is available as well as pay-per-hour lots. We brought our two tuxedo cats for a nail trim. They are newly adopted and we were unsure how they would do with a full grooming service. We told Joy about our cat's playing habits and she totally delivered -- Joy even ran up and down the hall w/ our kitty to really tire him out! It really felt above and beyond what a normal sitter would do. And, like everyone else says, they send an email to check in and check out, so you know when they're there. They also send a short recap w/ a photo. Although I felt nervous about leaving the cat behind, I wasn't ever nervous about how well Joy would care for him. 5 stars! There aren't many on the Eastside, and even fewer who know cats well. We tried out Meow & Beyond after a poor experience with a service that catered mainly to dogs and were blown away. Larissa, Rodrigo, and their associates Heidi and Skyler are fabulous and intuitive cat caretakers. We've had all four come to our house at some point to visit our cats during our trips, and they do a better job than *we* do at ensuring the cats get their "hunt, catch, kill, eat" play and feeding routine! When we come home, we can tell how relaxed and content our cats are because of how thoroughly their energy was drained every day and how well the sitter catered attention to each cat. The sitter leaves a unique QR code printout at our house and uses it to "check in/out" when they come and go, and the end of every session is marked by a brief, informative email (and usually pictures) about what the cats were up to that morning or evening. Getting the pictures and details are the best parts of our days while we're gone! Larissa is quick to respond to email requests for sitting and is very communicative about the reservation. Larissa, Rodrigo, Heidi, and Skyler are all attentive to instructions or requests we've given them and do everything they can to make sure the cats are happy. During one of our trips, Heidi even went above and beyond to check the porch every day and bring in a couple of large, unwieldy boxes when we told her we were expecting some packages.
