We are so lucky to have found Beth. Nail trims used to be a whole to-do for our cats. After many unsuccessful tries doing it ourselves, we ended up regularly taking them to a groomer. Not only did the cats get testy every time their carriers came out, it was still a pretty unpleasant experience...and resulted in them being annoyed with us for days after. Thanks to Beth, they get to have a mani/pedi moment in the comfort of their own home, for basically the same price as we were paying for the previous traveling circus. This is an amazing service and they have great communication with clients. I was able to quickly get an appointment for my fluffy cat who had some matted fur. Leah was the one who came to groom my cat and she did an incredible job. My cat, Lila, gets very anxious when she is held in place and she doesn't like her back legs being touched (which is where the matted fur was). Leah did a great job at holding Lila at different angles while having me feed Lila treats to distract her. Lila was obviously nervous while being shaved but I could tell she trusted Leah. I think Leah's gentle personality and patience helps keeps kitties calm. She also took time to explain which grooming tools she recommends so I can maintain Lila's fur better. She wanted to know about our cat before arriving, which was important to us. Beth arrived at our house with a calm, caring spirit for our cat Suds and for our human family members. If I could give Felinity Cat Care 10 stars, I would. Beth groomed our 3-year-old Siberian cat, Mischka, today, who was in dire need of her bottom being cleared of matted feces and shaved. We usually take her to the vet to get a sani-cut every few months, but going to the vet stresses her out so I avoided it longer than I should have, which led to a total "dis-ass-ter"...she stunk and was miserable and I felt terribly for letting this happen to her. Beth handled her so kindly and gently and was flat-out magical in her ability to keep Mischka wrapped while giving her the cut and trimming her nails. Mischka HATES being groomed, so she protested, of course, but Beth is a true professional and took all of Mischka's crying, wriggling and swiping in stride. I now plan on having Beth come out every 2 or 3 months to stay on top of keeping Mischka's fluffy bottom nice and clean. I HIGHLY recommend Felinity Cat Care! Our 13 year old cat, Sascha, had terrible mats all over her poor body. We had neglected her and she suffered for it. We tried several times to cut the mats off, but we're too timid. We finally called on Felinity. Beth came out and saved Sascha. We took her into the bathroom and Beth got on the floor with her and removed the mats. I have a tiny (8 pound) Maine Coon. He has the typical thick fur that needs a summer trim, to it make it through extra hot days without getting sick (it happened two years ago). The typical "lion" trim is good, but Tony's skin is very tender and his first two trims (two different groomers) were hard on him. This year I was recommended to use Felinity. I read about the "teddy bear" trim which doesn't cut so close, and booked a trim. It is routine for the cat's caregiver to be there during the trim, and it meant I was there to see how Beth's training in low-stress techniques (major component being treats to take his mind off the haircut) meant that Tony only let out two "squawks" of protest during the whole thing AND is ready for warmer days. I can't be any happier to have found Beth on yelp. Loved everything about her, how she's an amazing cat lover, super informative, and the trimming she did on my kitty is so perfect!! There's more information on the cost and the services they offer on their website felinitycatcare.com, but she was really kind in explaining further when I contacted her through e-mail. She's super responsive and explains everything in detail so that you won't miss anything in advance. After setting the time and the date of her visit, she sent an email about what she'll need me to be doing, which is basically just being there making sure the kitties feel relaxed, and how she'll be wearing masks and washing her hands for protection from Covid. On the day of the grooming, she came to my place, with everything prepared. She gave me options to use either electric razor that's very very quiet or scissors. We tried with electric razor first and she used the protection lid to make sure it doesn't go too close to his skin. She was explaining what exact cut she's doing for what purpose. For my kitten, we did sanitary cut, which is basically a grooming around his butt so that whenever he goes to the litter, it'll be cleaner. She explained how she's looking for that area to be flatter so that nothing will get on his hair when he poops. Even on the belly side she did a quick cut so that whenever he pees, it won't stain his hair around there. After the grooming was done, we had a nice chat about what kind of litter and food options will be good for my kittens as they grow older and she shared so so much great information about cats in general. My 4 year old cat, Emmet, had several bad hair mats on his spine. I wanted a mobile grooming service to avoid the trauma of a car trip. I selected Felinity Cat Care after reviewing their website and several email exchanges with Beth. Beth wanted to remove the mats sitting on the floor in an enclosed space to help Emmet feel secure. Unfortunately due to remodel issues, we opted for the kitchen counter. I have taken my cats to groomers in the past with mixed results. Some are thorough and some are slap-dash. Plus each visit meant I needed to drop my cat off and come back in a few hours to pick them up. Two car rides for the cat and some trauma in between (the water, the strangers handling them, the blow dryers and noise, etc.) made me sad for the cats. Also, when the cats got old, the other groomers declined to work on them. Beth at Felinity Cat Care has a lot of experience working with old and sick cats and will groom them as gently as possible in their own homes. That was a joy to hear. When my teenaged kitten gets older, there will be an experienced, loving person to help keep her clean and comfortable. My kitten did not have to take a car ride, and Beth let her get down and decompress when she seemed to be getting overstimulated.
