We've now been about three times and Julian always gives him a cute and consistently great cut. Unlike the other place we used to go, our dog looks forward to going every time. We're going on vacation soon and I wanted to get our dog Gus taken care of before we leave. He's half Pomeranian, half Shih Tzu/Poodle, and he got the worst fur traits of all of them - his hair mats basically on it's own and no brush I've found deals with it, so we end up having to have him de-matted on a regular basis. I brought both my dogs in for the first time. I was nervous for them as they've only been to one groomer their entire lives (and it was done out of the groomers home), so I knew bringing them to some place new and being around other dogs could scare them. We are beagle people so we don't generally need a groomer, but Ox is such a big ol' wimp about having his nails done that we cannot trim them at home. And once in awhile he gets into something gross and rolls in it, and at 40 pounds, he is too much hound for us to wrestle into the tub. A Google search led us to Doggiessimo, less than two miles from our Mt. Baker home. They were quite busy so we opted out of the bath and just went for nails, which get done on a drop-in basis. There was no wait, and parking wasn't hard to find. Ox was not the hot mess he often is when his nails are done because I gave him some CBD oil before we left, but we were still surprised at how well this went. His nails were clipped and rounded with us right there. The groomer explained that the front nails are rounded so that no sharp edges will hurt people, and the back ones are rounded so he won't hurt himself when he scratches. I had a bad experience once with a different grooming salon where they took him in the back out of my view and then drugged him without my consent, and so I was relieved to know that Ox wasn't going to be out of my sight here. Now that I have seen how smooth, professional, and compassionate these folks are, I wouldn't hesitate to drop him off for the full treatment if he needs it. I can trust them with my boy. The thing we liked best is that the other dogs that were already present were all calm and happy. There were 3 or 4 grooming stations going at a given time, and there were a few other four-legged customers milling around on the floor; nobody was stuck in a crate, and nobody was crying, afraid, angry or stressed. There were some gorgeous dogs there, along with a couple of healthy looking mixed breeds. This was the calmest dog grooming salon I have seen in my life. I am so impressed. Besides nail trims we don't need a regular groomer because beagles are easy that way, but if we did, this would be the place. read more

Our once positive experiences with Liliana and her team over the years has significantly deteriorated and anyone bringing their dog in for grooming should aware of our recent experience and make their own decisions. I brought our 17 lb terrier in for gland expression and a nail trim and was met by an extremely rude groomer, Roberta. We typically do full service however it was not needed at the time. 1.) I arrived on time for our appointment and was only planning to drop the dog off, my fiancé was at home less than 3 blocks away and was scheduled to pick up the dog once she was finished. I was told I must stay as she wasn't going to keep my dog all day. We have never used their grooming services as 'day care' and to imply that was my intention was rude and unnecessary. I should also note there was no mention of needing to stay for the service when I booked the appointment via email. 2.) Instead of greeting our dog in a calm fashion, the groomer snatched her up and begin walking away, frightening our dog enough for her to urinate all over the floor, and presumably on the groomer as well. 3.) Allowing dogs to roam freely in the grooming area is irresponsible. While our dog was tethered to the grooming table, 2 other dogs were watching at close proximity. One dog was inches away from our dogs face and snout level with the grooming table while she was being restrained. She was terrified. That's when I banged on the glass to stop the service half way through. Most dogs are hesitant on the table, Roberta was harsh with her (and me) and the other dogs only added to her anxiety. It's grossly unfair to any animal. 4.) I sent an email 7 minutes after walking out of the appointment asking for someone to call me. Followed up with 2 voicemails and another email before there was any response over 24 hours later. Lilliana asked for 24-36 hours to investigate then again went silent. Neither of the owners had enough respect to reply until 5 days later. They apologized for the poor customer service however never addressed the issue with other dogs being allowed access to the dogs actively being groomed, which was my biggest issue. We always want to support our local Leschi businesses however Doggiessimo has lost a faithful customer. read more

I have been a customer of Liliana's for over 7 years. We took our dog to Dogmania as a puppy, followed her to the mobile service and now back to the new, old location. Everything has always been fine until today. When I picked my dog up a few weeks ago we noticed his dog tags were missing. We searched high and low but couldn't find them but then I thought to call and find out if the groomers removed them. His tags were on a very strong key ring so I didn't think there was a way he could get them off himself.......yes he did. He had either been chained up by his tags or caught himself on something in their yard but either way was left un attended and judging by the shape of the key ring must have struggled fiercely to get away. No 30lb animal struggles as hard as he must have to rip apart a key ring like that. When I confronted the groomer I was laughed at. Yes I was laughed at. I was told I didn't know what I was talking about. You can only imagine how I reacted to that, to which she said it's not her problem and she doesn't even know who my dog is. Funny thing is they use my dog on all their advertising. Do what you want but this is coming from someone who was a professional caretaker of animals and when I see someone show this little concern for something this dangerous then I hope they close down. read more

My 80 pound malamute-sheltie-husky mix presents a challenging grooming task and is very verbal that she'd like to be somewhere else. We've had one groomer politely say that our dog should find a different groomer because she's so much work. Not at Doggiessimo! Our dog was transformed after 3 hours, probably 3 pounds of fur lighter than when she started, her nails were trimmed and her coat was shiny and soft. The staff was unflappable and friendly. Got my pup a haircut here for the first time and I have never had a better experience with a groomer. My dog has been through multiple other groomers and had terrible experiences. He is anxious and difficult to groom. I have even picked him up from other groomers halfway groomed because they were unable to groom him due to these problems. So when I picked Ollie up yesterday after Erik groomed him I was thrilled to see him soft, sleek and with a completely perfect cut! I really love the people that work here! I've been taking my 14 year old chow mix here since they opened. My pup looks beautiful, but what's more is they're so accommodating. Today I was in a bind with sleeping toddler in the car. Kevin came running out to help me with quick hand-off so I wouldn't have to leave the car. When I went to pick my pup up, he was just chilling on the couch with another pup. Just try them. They turned my dirty, shedding, long haired white (turned grey) husky into something soft, clean, and bright white. I've never seen her look so good and she's 16 years old. What I really loved is that she didn't keep shedding after she was groomed. Most places I've taken her the fur keeps coming off after the groom. But at Doggiessimo they got all the shedding fur off.
