Muchacho is such a great spot along the Atlanta BeltLine! I ordered the bacon, egg, cheese, and potato breakfast burrito, and it was absolutely amazing. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The burrito was filling without feeling too heavy, and every bite was delicious. I also tried the Peach State Grind made with Altos Reposado, Amaretto, Peach Liqueur, Egg White and Lemon, which was refreshing and paired perfectly with my tacos. On top of the great food, the outdoor seating is fantastic. It's the perfect place to relax, enjoy the BeltLine atmosphere, and have a leisurely breakfast. If you're looking for a delicious breakfast with a great patio and a laid-back vibe, Muchacho is definitely worth a visit. I'll absolutely be back to try more of the menu!
One of the best patios in Atlanta, right on the Beltline in Reynoldstown. I could sit out here for hours! The food is good. The margs are delicious! It's a bit pricey and there can be a decent wait when it's busy, but the staff is very friendly and accommodating.
My favorite thing about muchacho is the vibe! The place is full of small touches that come together wonderfully from the music, decorations, and graphics. The Birria quesadilla was also delicious and way better than I was expecting. I went later in the evening but the service was fast and friendly. Overall great spot!
I had been meaning to try this place for a while, and the setting is definitely unique. Being in a repurposed train station gives it a really interesting backdrop for dining. We started with the queso and chips, but it would have been much better if the queso had been served hot. The corn ribs were a highlight and something I would order again. I had the taco salad for my main, which was fine overall, though the steak was also served cold. The atmosphere is relaxed and laid back, especially with the open windows and doors, which makes it a great place to hang out. I just wish the food had been served warm to match the vibe.
The lighting, merch, and building are beautiful. As a designer I appreciate the choices that were made. But I'm here to talk about the food, the parking lot that only opens on one side and the staff. The staff members were warm and inviting. I ordered to go with ease and the food came out in good time. When I opened the burrito I realized why the menu stressed it was over 1 pound. When I read this on the menu I thought it would be big and filling. Incorrect, it was small with no salsa or dips and I didn't care for the added French fries inside. Onto the burger which was sizable but did not come with a side for $16. My comment would be add a side. I also ordered chips and queso. Everything was ok tasting I really enjoyed the tortilla chips. I don't think I'll be back. The drinks did sound interesting though so maybe I will order chips and drink after eating somewhere else.
Muchachos has hipster taco shop vibes with great cocktails and an incredibly attentive, friendly staff. It was my first time visiting, so I told them and asked how everything worked, and they made it super easy. Ordering is flexible. You can order at the front counter, or you can snag a table since it's open seating. Once you sit down, a server will find you, give you a number, and take care of you for the rest of your visit. I ended up getting a booth thanks to a very friendly manager who helped me out. For drinks, I had a few cocktails, and my favorite was the Sage Against the Machine, a gin-based cocktail that tasted so fresh and delicious. I also had some Prosecco and an appetizer, the Dip Trio, which comes with guacamole, salsa, and queso. All three were amazing, and it was so good I honestly forgot to take a picture. Overall, I would definitely go back, especially to try more of their entrées and tacos because they have a wide variety available.
I got to say that their grilled corn ribs were AMAZING. It was flavorful, came out nice and hot, and needed to have more on the plate for what it's worth ($6). I'd get that again as an appetizer. We tried 3 of their tacos and tried the corn shell (don't do it, bad idea). The corn shell was thick and dry. We got al pastor, Muchacho style, and pork belly tacos. I think the tacos were okay to be honest, kinda boring. The blue matcha ($5) is not good as a latte. The flavor is bland, it's really for the aesthetic. The pea flower powder turns it blue with a hint of lemon. The iced chai was a bit watery. I'd honestly give muchacho an updated 4 out of 5 stars (the corn ribs really boosted it from a 3/5). Free street parking if you can find any but there's a parking deck nearby.
Im always happy to come to Muchacho honestly. The food is tasty and consistent. The people are always quick and friendly. Ive come here to work from home before and it was great energy and atmosphere to do so. They have coffee, breakfast tacos, lunch and drinks. Needless to say, I was there for a while but I made sure to make a good tab and tip. Disliked - Disliked - Disliked - Disliked - Disliked Corn Tortilla: Way too thick I've tried a couple times and I think took away from the ingredients of my taco because I focused a little to much on the texture/volume of the tortilla.
The place has an amazing patio right off the beltline. I stopped by on a weekday afternoon they also have a pretty good happy hour with drink and food specials. We tried the Baja fish Taco, the pork belly taco, the mahi burrito. Everything was cooked to perfection with good portion sizes. The trio with the salsa queso and guacamole was pretty good too. The salsa could be more balanced in its flavor was over smoked. Will definitely swing back to try the drinks and chill on the patio. Of note it's counter service so order at the counter and come back to your table to get the food delivered.
My meal was great! I love that they serve breakfast all day! And such a cute outdoor seating area that's pet friendly.
Muchacho is a nice spot for a causal lunch or happy hour. The trendy industrial style interior adds to the casual atmosphere. We ordered at the counter: a harvest bowl, and 2 tacos (fish and shrimp). The weather was nice so we sat outside and posted up at a table and pulled out our laptops. Our food came out quickly. I was given two shrimp tacos instead of one fish and one shrimp. The server was great and brought out a fish taco without a fuss. I really appreciate good customer service so I was happy that she made it right.
This is such a nice spot off the beltline! Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, we really enjoyed sitting on the patio on a nice day. Dogs are also allowed. Food is delicious and they serve brunch. The drinks were also very good. The service was great, we have a few people check on us and all were amazing. Maya and Jalen were great! I will definitely be back.
I recently came back to Muchacho's after a long hiatus, and it didn't disappoint! There was some new staff that I encountered that were as sweet and welcoming as the ones that I had come to know, and one of them stuffed red that I should try their new item since the last time I've been there: Birria Verde Quesadilla. This has to be one of the best birria dishes I've ever had! The meat was so juicy, tender, and well seasoned. I was also happy that they provide a generous amount of meat. The consomé was the true star of the dish! The amount of flavor in it truly took me by surprise in the best way since it packed a punch, and the bits of meat within was super tender and soaked it all up. I honestly could just eat that as a soup alone! I highly recommend ordering this dish when you visit!
Stopped here after a recommendation and we are glad we did! Great interior and exterior seating- and parking! I ordered tacos and my boyfriend ordered a burrito. We shared the chips and salsa. Everything came out at once, which is why I'd do 4.5 stars instead of 5 (rounded up) apps before would be nicer) but we still both had an amazing meal. Would definitely go back! Had a multitude of salsas to try in a fridge too, in addition to free filtered water. read more
I had lunch with a friend at Muchacho, and I can't wait to go back! It is located right on the Beltline, and it has such a fun, eclectic vibe. We brought our dogs, and the staff were so friendly to them. They even offered to bring us a water bowl. They don't allow dogs inside, so we sat outside on the patio. You order inside at the counter and they bring the food out to you. We wanted to order the ceviche, but they were out of it. So we ordered the fries to share, which were bomb! Thin, crispy, and delicious seasoning. I had the Baja fish taco and the margarita. Both were good! My friend enjoyed her tacos, as well, but did mention that they were so full that she couldn't eat them easily. They have a full coffee menu and they offer breakfast tacos, as well. I look forward to trying other items here! read more

Tacos, lattes, a patio on the BeltLine... I'm sold! Food - The barbacoa taco is delicious! The meat was well marinated full of flavor. Honestly, I've been craving the barbacoa taco everyday since I had it. The Baja fish taco is cool. Alone, it's a little dry, but dip it in the jalapeño sauce... game changer. The queso was delicious too, probably my favorite queso around. The Paloma is good, very refreshing. The golden latte was OK. I had it iced. I think i would've liked it better hot. It had things like cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla, etc so definitely more if a fall/winter drink. Atmosphere - It's different.... In a good way. It's 70's vintage, and kind of reminds me of Napoleon Dynamite. It's also open and airy, plants hanging over the bar and there's a patio that overlooks the belt line. During the week it's pretty chill inside, people hanging out at the bar, people at the front tables mostly working on their laptops while enjoying lattes. The split-level patio is always pretty lively. The patio was packed when I went for dinner, and there's usually a decent crowd when I'm jogging by on the belt line during lunch. Service - No issues. Overall: It's a cool spot. I'll be back to try more stuff, or maybe even plop down for work. read more
This cute restaurant is a whole vibe. A friend of mine went in the evening time so we got the whole ambience of the restaurant at night. It's a very casual dining experience. When you come in you order your food first and they give you a number and you find a seat. I didn't like that a whole lot because once we ordered our food it was hard to find indoor seating ( it was pretty packed). My friend and I lucked up on the last seats inside. If it was warmer outside we would've definitely choose the outdoor seating. The outdoor seating did have heated lamps, which was nice but we wanted to sit inside since it was still a little too chilly out. Prices are pretty reasonable. Some things I thought were over price for what they were. So I ordered the chips and salsa for $4. Both of those were really good very fresh I can tell it was all me. And if it wasn't they really fooled me... LOL. I also ordered a Al Pastor taco for $5 (this was my favorite) and a pork belly taco for $6. I had really high hopes for the pork belly taco because I like port really anything but I was not feeling this taco. I didn't eat it in the restaurant I ended up taking it to go but I did not like the combination of items in it. I ended up just eating the meat out of it which was OK. The street corn rib was $6 (just a fancy piece of corn on the cob) was pretty good. I will say the vibe of this restaurant with the whole 70s sort of vibe and the decor is what gives this place so much charm. And the neighborhood just keeps continuing to grow with great shops and restaurants. hi for sure want to come back to try the branch and to have some cocktails. read more

Muchacho made all of my breakfast taco dreams come true! I'm not even a big fan of breakfast tacos. I very rarely order them, but I could eat Muchacho's every week if not everyday! My group of 3 ordered several items: BEC $4 Muchacho style $4.5 Migas $4 Jam toast $8.5 Golden latte $5 Rosemary latte $5 Oat milk latte $5 The tacos and jam are perfect for sharing. We ordered two of each of the tacos and had plenty to eat. The migas was my favorite. It comes with eggs, pico de gallo, black beans, crispy tortilla chips and chihuahua cheese. I love that the tacos came with four different salsas ranging from mild to spicy. I enjoyed the spiciest, habanero the most. The coffee is Counter Culture, which is solid. The golden latte is a combination of cinnamon, cardamom, nutmeg, vanilla, and espresso. I ordered mine with oat milk and it was excellent. I had a sip of the rosemary latte and wow, the rosemary flavor is strong but good. We went on a Tuesday morning around 10 and the place was busy! There's ample indoor seating including bar seating as well as outdoor seating. However, getting a table can be challenging. Fortunately, I was able to snag a couple of tables as soon as people got up to leave before my group arrived. The space is fun and vibrant. Great for working or meeting with friends! read more

I came here to enjoy my last session with my mentor. Going to grab a bite to eat during our meetings is our regular routine. We always like to try something new and we have both never been here before. I can definitely say from my first step in, it held a unique decor in and venue shape. I love the dripping leaves over the bar definitely a beautiful touch, but quite honestly it is becoming overdone in restaurant decor styles. Besides that, the menu was very limited and frankly, didn't have much to offer. I got three tacos: one steak, one beef and one mushroom. I didn't care for the food much. All the tacos were dry and flavorless and mushroom taco was just outright disgusting. I can definitely see that this place is somewhere where a lot of people come to study and get work done and that is honestly all I would recommend doing when you come here. read more

i really enjoyed the vibe of this place. the corn ribs were unreal, as were the blue matcha cocktail. definitely will be back! read more
I saw this place on an ATL foodies page and was so excited to try it. Here's my take- Drink options great. Drinks good. Food ok. The corn tortillas on my tacos were great, but the food overall felt like it needed more flavor, like a component was missing. Everyone at the table besides one person also said theirs was decent but nothing to write home about. Both the indoor and outdoor environments are very cute. The place has a good vibe, and I wouldn't be opposed to going back for drinks and maybe their breakfast options, but don't plan on being back for lunch or dinner. read more
Adorable, hip little spot in Reynoldstown. Love that it incorporates MARTA colors in the decor. Very cool vibes and comfortable, bright interior. Kind of an eclectic blend of tacos/Mexican food and also coffee! Can't say I'm mad about it. We visited just looking for a little caffeine pick me up though. I wound up ordering the "Hyper Island," an iced latte with coconut syrup. The friendly gal running the cashier recommended I drink it with oat milk, to which I obliged. Oftentimes coffee at shops like this is too bitter for my tastes (I'm basic, I like my lattes sweet, so sue me), but this one was just about right for me. Slightly sweet, slightly nutty flavor, with definitely discernible coconut highlights. This is a really solid latte! My only critique is it was a little on the thick side -- I like my lattes a little more sippable. Definitely could've been the oat milk though, idk. All my pals seemed pretty happy with their drinks too. Service was excellent. Would definitely return again. read more

Guacamole was good! Patio is new and pleasant! I'll be back! Also had the pork belly taco. That's was good. Nice crisp coleslaw, tender and fatty pork, with like a black bean paste on the tortilla. It was a bit thick for me but it was good. I want to try the Al pastor next. read more

Brunch review: Tasty, hipster, neat. Felt like a hipster rustic coffee shop that also served their own version of Mexican food. Their matcha coffees were good and their tacos/burritos were as well, however.... the $9 burrito is the smallest burrito I've ever ordered and the tacos were wrapped like burritos too LOL. They have a lot of hanging plants and it was pretty cute. Still trying to figure out whether they were real or not.... Food: 7/10 Service: 6/10 Experience: 8/10 Value: 5/10 read more

Muchacho is always a good option! Great food, beautiful expansive patio, and the best location in the city! Muchacho avocado toast is one of the best quick go-to breakfast options. If you add some salmon to the top, it's transforms from "delicious" to "perfection". I've always been a fan of their golden latte which has a syrup that includes some mystery (don't know don't care) flavor concoction. I recently tried their iced chai for the first time and it was out of this world! How can chai even taste that good? The best part of the muchacho experience for me is their super dog friendly patio! Duchess (goldendoodle) and I have been spending more time on the patio and it is perfect for a quick meal before or after a beltline walk. There is direct access from the patio or the parking lot. The service at Muchacho has always been stellar. Everyone has a great attitude and are always eager to assist. I'm looking forward to seeing the new patio expansion after the construction is complete! read more
I've officially found the best burrito in Atlanta. I got the shrimp burrito and I didn't even know all that came in it but it was amazingg. Maybe the best burrito that I've ever had?? I was in a bit of a rush when I came so I didn't get to see everything that came in it, but I was shocked to see their were fries in the burrito - and even more shocked at how much I liked it!! The vibe of the restaurant is also super cool - it's like a Tulum bungalow vibe. I'm so happy I stumbled upon this place and I cannot wait to go back for happy hour and hangout and try their drinks! read more

Came here on a Friday afternoon. The environment was friendly. It is known as a Mexican bar/coffee shop/restaurant. However, this is not a very authentically Mexican place except the cactus. The place seemed to target mostly white fellas and carry many vegetarian dishes. Ordered a $16 shrimp burrito and found probably 5 shrimps in it. My girlfriend ordered this "ribs" dish. The rib dish is supposed to be a happy hour special, but was quite terrible. The ribs were made out of corns..... Overall vibe was ok. But if you looking for a authentic Mexican place, this is not the one to go. Cheers to the nice cashier! read more
I fell in love with Muchacho since my last Atlanta trip and I was so excited to see the new expanded space. It's so dreamy with all the hanging plants and brings even more chill vibes to the table. The food and drinks came out fast on a busy Sunday afternoon. It was my first time trying the Spro old fashioned and the carne Asada burrito. The Spro packed a lot of punch for such a small drink. I definitely only recommend if you like the taste of espresso, which I do! The carne Asada burrito was super juicy and definitely hit the spot before the drive back home. I also love that this is a dog friendly place and I'm able to bring my lil man. He loved all the amazing smells! You must go here! read more

This coffee shop meets taco spot is a must visit. Located uniquely off the east side Beltline, it is housed in a reclaimed train depot. It's indoor space has grown since then the closing of the Golden Eagle. There is now a bar for drinks and tables for seating while enjoying your beverages. Parking can be difficult since the neighboring lot gets filled quickly. Parking at the Publix deck across the street can be a viable option. The service was quick once my order was placed. I had their Macha latte, iced which was light and flavorful. Most drinks can be ordered hot or on ice. I had the Hawaiian sandwich to eat which was amazing. Purple cabbage coleslaw on a grilled cheese with crispy pork belly. It was amazing. I normally get the tacos which can be ordered with flour or corn tortillas that are made in house. read more

Really nice taco spot right off the beltline! I walked here this morning after pilates and got the Reggae Taco and a Blue Matcha latte. The latte has butterfly pea powder which gave it a little bit of a unique taste. The taste is not super overwhelming at all. The taco was also really great and the serving size was really generous. I had one taco and was full with my coffee. Definitely check this place out! read more

I've been wanting to come to Muchacho's for so long and finally got to go for breakfast this morning. It wasn't too busy for a Saturday morning- we waited in line for about 10-15 minutes. Basically you order at the front and you can sit down wherever you want. There's tables and chairs in the front, booths in the back, and really cute outdoor seating. Lots of people brought their dogs and the restaurant itself has a really fun aesthetic and vibe. Food: I got the Johnny Utah breakfast burrito which was amazing. I was so hungry so this really hit. It has potatoes in it and a bunch of these cubes of bacon (there was a lot more in there than I expected but not mad about it) Drink: I got the Golden Latte with oat milk. I assumed it was iced but was pleasantly surprised that it was hot which was nice especially because it was a bit cold out. I probably could've asked for it iced but I didn't realize when I ordered. I'm not a big coffee drinker but this was SO good. The spices really came through especially the cardamom so would recommend if you like more of a warm fall vibe drink. Overall I'm glad I got to come here. It's a really nice place to just hang out and catch up with friends. I definitely want to come back here for happy hour or dinner and sit outside! read more

Always a vibe. Super cute. If you read enough of my reviews you know how i feel about over priced tacos but Muchaco might get a forever pass. My party of two adults and two kids under 10 had the taco salad plus chicken, Al Pastor Taco, Street Corn Ribs, barbacoa taco, mango lime refrescha, grilled cheese, Paloma, and margarita. Singular drink. Basically $100 but tracking for city of Atlanta/Beltline prices. The saving grace of the overpriced taco is theybwere overflowing with toppings. Like the run off of three tacos could have filled another tortilla. I don't recall that being the experience every time but today was noticeable. The al pastor is solid. It's not a hole in thebwall little Mexico type taco but it's better than most. The barbacoa was more like carne...maybe it was carne and there was a mistake ordering. The kids DESTROYED the grilled cheese. The chips on the sandwich was weird but added a nice texture. The taco salad was good, there is a really cute mini taco in the salad. I think the $6 chicken was an absolute rip off. The chicken was dry and sparse. Get the CORN RIBS!! If you like elote... these were awesome. The margarita is probably made will quality and crafted ingredients but I need margs to tingle a little bit more....it's tequila for crying outloud. Super easy ordering at the counter and sat quickly. The place was buzzing wit lh people working, eating, people watching. Good spot with kids during THE DAY I wouldn't bring kids once the sun goes down. Nothing raunchy is happening but leave the kids home. read more

I went to muchando for the first time yesterday just for a quick app and I must say I was beyond impressed. The service was phenomenal! Everyone was so friendly and open to us and the food got to us so fast. We only went for the tacos but I'm so so excited to come back for more because they were the best vegan carne asada tacos I've ever had. So authentic! Beautiful ambiance! So excited to come back. read more

Yesssss love this spot ! Coffee and food and lots of plugs (smile). I am always in search of a place to work remotely and be able to soak in the sun too (they have a patio- which is also great when you need complete silence when taking a conference call). The young lady at the front who took our order was so nice and extremely stylish she matches the vibe and I love it. So let's get into the food - we had the hamburger and fries, ceviche, fruit salad and the neopolitian latte - everything was delicious and I promise I will be back often. read more
First time eating here today so we had no idea what to expect. Went with the wife around noon and after looking through their sparse but great menu we decided on a Muchacho taco for me, AL Pastor taco for wife and avocado toast to share. Man what great chow! My muchacho was flour tortilla with egg, chorizo, Pico de gaĺlo, roasted poblano and cheese...very good! Wife's al pastor was also delicious and very flavorful on corn tortilla with spiced pork, pineapple, onions, cilantro; really great flavor though it doesn't sound like it. Something else that didn't sound appetizing to us but turned out to be fantastic was the avocado toast: thick sourdough toast with avocado slices, arugula green leaf, sliced radish (I think!); look I'm a Checkers burger guy so I normally don't eat this kind of stuff but I/we was/were seriously impressed! To drink I had the orange Jarrilo in the bottle and my wife had the Blue Matcha Latte which was very "healthy" tasting but in a good way...kind of like a smoothie but with healthy crap in it! Anyway, seriously I personally left feeling very satisfied and so healthy I immediately went home and had a coke, some ice cream and a donut, because I felt I earned it! Oh and prices were really realistic. Definitely will return and def recommend. read more
I came here for Sunday dinner and was super excited to see that there was a happy hour every day from 3-6. I sat at the bar and for $5 I got a shot and a High Life! Bartenders were very knowledgeable and attentive. I got the Al pastor taco and queso. Both were very good. The taco had plenty of meat and was surprisingly filling. Queso was good and slightly spicy. Overall I liked the restaurant. I thought it was a bit pricey for what it is. Some tacos are $7, burritos are $16, taco salad with meat is $20. But there are some good options here. I'll be back. read more

Ask the Community - Muchacho
Do they have bike parking?
Indeed they do - there are bike racks outside of the restaurant.
Do people come to study and work here or is the environment not great for that?
I would say the environment is OK to do some work. But I wouldn't come to study. Maybe too noisy. But it could just depends on what time of day you come.
Do you have gift cards?
Hello! We do! You can purchase gift cards in our store or online here:…
Do they not have their avocado toast anymore? It was the main reason I'd go there over other coffeeshops. Thanks
Yes they do still have the avocado toast and it's still delicious! 😋
Do you have gluten free options?
Hi! We have several gluten free options. Our corn tortillas for our tacos are entirely gluten free. Please ask your server to guide you through the menu on your next visit.
