Went in on Saturday early afternoon before 1pm. Few people in line. Ordered right away, yardbird medium with slaw on side. DELICIOUS!!! Heat was good and buns fresh. Piece of chicken more than eclipse the bun. Slaw on the side was great thought. My 1st time, next time give it how it was designed. Probably go up a heat next time. First, I've had Nashville style breaded chicken in Nashville or as they simply call it, fried chicken. Mrs Chicken hit the mark on hot, the "burn your face off" wings I had will do that for 90% of the people ordering. It's hot with good taste which I like, demand, on dishes with this much heat. I had the the white meat selection "hot" and again it was good with great taste. They chose the very wet type of chicken opposed to a brushed on pepper oil so the chicken is more soggy than I prefer but you get that in Nashville too. Here's an important thing, they are serving full size fryer chickens, big pieces, not the miniature chicken other places throw at us. I had rice and beans as a side, it was tasty. I respect their effort and I'll say this, if you go to Hooters for the chicken you'll like it here. Here's the downer, the place is hard, concrete floor, hard chairs, table, walls, etc the kitchen vent on, they had music on and so its noise level is high even with just a few people there. I took my order and left, it wouldn't have been pleasant to eat inside, they have outside seating but summer is coming. While waiting I counted five employees there, one working (the cook) and the other 4 mostly watching and chatting. The counter girl was nice and helpful. This is the third place I've tried the Hot Chicken and this is by far the best tasting and tender hot chicken I've had. We went in with 12 guys after golf. We tried all the different flavors and each one was rated high by our group. I tired the mild and it was spicy but not crazy spicy. Also, tried the hot and it was pretty much as advertised, have a cool drink near by. Again, not crazy hot but definitely hotter than the mild but still very delicious. The entire group were happy we tried Mrs Chicken and looks forward to our next visit The bonus was meeting the owner, George Frasher while we were there and he could not have been nicer. Stumbled upon this place. Nice, convenient location with ample parking across the street from a small shopping center. I ordered the Yardbyrd sandwhich with a side of collard greens. The meal was delicious. The sandwhich was huge and the chicken was juicy. The greens were more flavorful than I expected. I also liked that they weren't stingy with the dipping sauces. read more

Gave this place a try this last weekend. It was tasty but not as hot as one would think hot chicken would be. If I went again I would get the triple hot minus the cheese and the slaw. I would ask for pickle and lettuce if available. The slaw and the cheese made it way too wet and mushy in my opinion. read more

Mrs Chicken... The fries were great! The chicken wasn't bad, it just wasn't "hot chicken". It was a hot wing. I took the family to check it out Sunday afternoon. The cashier and other staff were really pleasant. Great location, but it just wasn't as advertised. I ordered quite a bit of food, but my order for myself was the 3 wings and fries. I wanted the breast quarter but was told some story, that equaled they didn't have any. I was expecting 3 whole wings, but instead I received 3 drumettes (hot). Had the Yardbird sandwich (spice level Hot) with fries. Heat level was exactly what I wanted, nice slow burn but nothing ridiculous. Krinkle cut fries were amazing...great Cajun (?) seasoning and they were perfectly crisp. Had some ranch and honky tonk sauce to go with it, both were super tasty and definitely seemed homemade. Just tried Mrs. Chicken and I thought it was "ok". I've had my fair share of Nashville Style Chicken and I think this chicken tasted more like Hot Wings that you would get from a place like Native Wings or Wing Stop. The Nashville Chicken I'm used to is a mix of sweet and spicy. These were just spicy and they weren't even THAT spicy (I got the Medium heat). If you're a person who doesn't really like spicy food, this may be enough for you, but I would expect the medium wings to at least have "some" hint of spice. I hate to rag on this place because I want to support local business but I can't recommend this place. Not saying the food isn't good. It is. decided to give this neighborhood spot a try. Not worth another trip. I'll stick to churches or kentucky. The chicken had the crispy fry, but not much else ordered the medium and hot. All of the sides sucked. The red beans and rice tasted like canned beans and parboiled rice had been keeping company all day in the same container nothing but mush. The fries were soggy. collards didn't do anything for me. I am glad I didn't order the white meat or it would have been dry on top of all that. I ordered for three and we all agree. I having been dying to try it and so was not disappointed. Super friendly staff and the owner was about and greeting everyone. I got the Yard bird hot and it was huge! Hot is like Thai hot for a frame of reference but t was very flavorful although messy. I will be back to try the potatoes casserole! They did sell out of the quarter pieces and casserole but I showed up close to closing so just another reason to go back. Patio seating and indoor seating was family style mostly (long tables) but we found room. Had lunch here today after hearing a lot of buzz about Nashville Hot Chicken. Loved learning that they use Mary's GMO free chicken. My husband and I had the sandwich (medium heat) and it was delicious. We walked into Mrs. Chicken and come to find out it's owned by the owner if Frashers. Jackpot! The chicken was deep fried and as mild or spicy hot as you want. I would start off with a good review but this restaurant doesn't deserve it . When I got there I didn't even get a chance to look at the menu so I just chose the sandwich and I was surprised because I got the "HOT" one and it wasn't HOT , that was very disappointing. The French fries had no taste it was like if I was eating paper (yea I know what paper tastes like and) like if I'm being honest you guys didn't season the fries and that's very disappointing like how do you get French fries wrong , That's the easiest thing ever . So now moving on to the sandwich, it was ok at first but like I said i expected it to be actually hot . It seemed like you just opened a bottle of buffalo sauce and poured it on SMH . The coleslaw was ok and the chicken was cold in the middle and that jawn was Raw so of course I threw it away but like I said how do you get chicken wrong it's so easy , fire your cook they're not doing their job . Okay now time for the drink part , MANE WTF the soda was also trash bruh at this point you guys are disappointing it's soda ... anyways I got a cup and poured soda and took a sip and it tasted watered down , now I'm thinking " maybe it's just this one let me try another one " and I do and it turns out the other 2 I tried are also watered down and they also taste disgusting. I went into this place on my birthday and I ordered the 3 chicken fingers HOT (it's really hot!) but so flavorful and the chicken was cooked perfect! Crispy outside and juicy inside! I believe Mia was the cashier, she was super sweet and helpful and offered me a piece of butter cake. The cook in the back also came out and gave me a small order of fries. This place is clean and inviting, the only bad thing I have to say is that the AC should be a few degrees lower it was hot in there. Overall wonderful food and great experience! read more

It's just buffalo sauce. Hot chicken has nothing to do with buffalo sauce. I've had hot chicken in Nashville and the Carolinas, and Mrs. Chicken's is totally unrelated. Each of their sauces-- hot, medium, and mild--is nothing but a mess of vinegar and tobasco, with zero other flavor. Even KFC's Nashville Hot was miles better than this place. I have eaten at all of Frashers establishments. They have been all five star, but mrs.chicken was not good. I won't post pics because I don't want to embarrass anyone. It was basically wet, buffalo chicken. Nashville hot is not supposed to be wet, all skin!
