I got a flat tire going from Moreno Valley back to LA - I got stuck in Riverside and had to get to a dealership in Van Nuys before they closed which seemed IMPOSSIBLE since it was rush hour and not to mention I was dreading spending over an hour in a tow truck .. but Anthony came to my rescue and got me there in no time!! I would not even give them a 1 star. They towed my car after an accident I went in on Monday when they opened and gave them my insurance info. The car was gone by the next morning. They charged 6 days of storage which was really 2 days and one hour, then they charged $120 for cleanup where there was no clean up. Then after a week went by I received a notice of a lien on my car that was dated 2 days after car was gone but was charged a fee anyway. When I called the office they said that they do not do the lien an outside company does it. Well, how did the company get my info. This place is a scam. Can not believe AAA approved them. read more

Worst customer service experience ever! My car got towed last night from a mall, I call Mr T's, who towed it and a very rude lady shouted at me what the fees would be. After a huge run around with the local PD and DMV and obtaining all the needed items that I wasn't told about the night prior, I called again just to confirm the fees so I know exactly how much to bring. The young lady on the phone was even more rude than the person I talked to the previous evening. She refused to confirm the fees and then told me to "shut the hell up" when I asked why she was being so rude. She then hung up on me. I called back to get her name and she refused and hung up on me again. Called back a third time and she finally gave her supervisors name. I will be calling the supervisor tomorrow. read more

Take the quote they give you and multiply it by 2. Now take that number and raise it to the 5th power. This new number is still about 300% less than what you will actually be paying. My battery was completely bone dry, parked in a diagonal parking spot in the narrow streets of downtown upland, because the battery was completely depleted- i could not move the shifter to neutral in order to try to jump it - which i had already attempted- after a half-hour of asking pretensions, self absorbed, boomer zombies for help and being scoffed away so they can shop for things they don't need, with money they done have, to impress people they don't even like.... okay, i went on a tangent. I'm done now, i promise. Anywho, after exhausting all my efforts i use the only free tow my policy offers, and OSCAR came to the rescue. He was a real nice dude that knew exactly how to handle things. he even towed my car slowly since the windows were completely down as to not dirty up my interior and jumbled he pages of my many books and things. I'm not giving this any stars so the one is forced. I called as soon as I realized my vehicle was unfortunately towed and when I went to pick up my vehicle ON THE SAME DAY (literally hours after the call) the fee had increased $35 for a supposed "lien" that is "required on all vehicles that enter the lot". Are you freaking kidding me?!? We own a towing company in Texas and I am very familiar with the policies and procedures that govern the towing industry so believe me when I say, this "company" is all kinds of shady. Aside from that, the attendant was neither courteous nor empathetic but I'm sure those are two things that would have to be explained to him more in depth. Called yesterday to ask the cost of towing my car from the front of my complex to my carport and the guy said it would be $60 , but that it would not be able to be towed the same day and to call the next day . Which I did. A lady answer the phone and I asked her how much would it be to be towed . I mentioned it was less than ..02 miles away and that it was within city(obviously) she said it would $125 !!! And once I told her that a guy that I spoke to yesterday had given me a different price she became arrogant and rude and said no it's 125! And I'm the only one here so idk who you talked to . We did go back and forth before I lost my patience and I'll admit I did call her some names . Which she laughed about . NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER use this towing. When you are in an accident and the police say they called Mr. T's Towing, cancel the tow and call a reputable company. They are not in the AAA Auto Club network so you get slammed with the full price. My 18 year son was in an accident, completely traumatized from rolling his car. He showed up after barely getting the money together and waiting at their gates for the Sander's Tow truck (which BTW is awesome) we called them at 4:15 to get his car out of Mr. T's lot, showed up at 5:01, said was after hours and wanted $55 more for another day of storage and $65 more for an after hours car release. This place is a complete nightmare. We come from a family of officers and will definitely be calling the Upland PD and the SB Sheriffs Dept to tell them NOT to ever use this towing company. read more

Came to pick up my car right now. when it was towed everything was working just fine yet today my battery is completely dead. And I supposably don't have any gas because I can't pop my clutch to make it turn on.. on top of that the hood latch to my car somehow also broke so we couldn't jumpstart the battery hence the reason they made me pop the clutch and since I'm a girl they like to speak to me like I'm incompetent and don't know how to work my car. I understand tow yards aren't exactly customer service savvy but the fact that my car is no longer working is ridiculous. I did just get a new battery as well so the fact that it's COMPLETELY dead and the hood latch is broken after 4 days of being in this lot is sketchy. If your car gets towed here.. make sure you follow them or check on your car while it's here. Besides the fact I got my car towed on a Friday it was Christmas weekend and they were closed on Monday the day after Christmas so yay more charges ! It doesn't surprise me of all the negative reviews about this business and what a nightmare it has been working with them! Our stolen vehicle was recovered by the Rancho Cucamonga police and picked up by Mr. T's. It's automatic $300 for same day pickup and $50 a day thereafter. It was too late to pickup the vehicle Friday and since the yard is closed on weekends I would have to return Monday. Not wanting to pay an another $150, I called for Saturday pickup which cost an extra $65 to open the yard. Even the police officer who gave us the vehicle release was sympathetic to our situation and agrees they take advantage of crime victims. So why the city of Rancho Cucamonga contracts with this tow service is beyond me! Unfortunately we are at their mercy but price-gouging practice like this has to be stopped by lawmakers. read more

Wow! Pathetic and very disrespectful Girl I spoke to sounded like she hates her job! I was in a car accident and unfortunately, I didn't have a say on the towing biggest mistake to be taken there. I wish I was stable enough to have called AAA. While I was at the hospital I called them spoke to a man and was told it was $250 for just the tow and $50 a night it was there two nights and they want $500 + now how does that make any sense?! o m g If you can avoid this place do so at all costs (pun not intended). There just aren't the words to describe what a fiasco dealing with them is. My car was towed- totally my fault as I left it parked with expired tags- and I called them to get the cost. He told me $340. $340!!! They picked it up at 12:51 on Wed and I called at 8:30am on Thurs. They hadn't even had it for 24 hours yet. I asked what I needed to pick it up and he said registered owner has to pick it up with registration and ID. I asked what time they close, he said 5pm. I asked how much if I can't get it for another day he said fifty "5 0" . Something in my past experience told me to ask more questions so I called back and asked if the registration had to be current, he said yes. I said I have a non-op and he said they have to be current as non-ops are not able to be moved. So after renewing my tags and getting the money together we go down there and it's locked down pretty good-block wall and gate with intercom, looks closed. We push the button on the intercom and they took a bit to answer. When he does answer he says something but with the intercom and traffic passing by we can't hear him and ask him to repeat so then he says it really slow like we're 4 year olds. He tells us only the registered owner can go in. (oh, brother) So my husband goes in and I wait in the car. After about 5 mins he comes back out and says he can't pay for it until we have our AAA tow truck there to get the car. Oh... and it's now $375 and if you pay cash it must be exact cash because they don't have change. Kind of ironic I think since they accept cash. Unbelievable. I am fuming but what can I do? They have us by the curlies. Our tow comes and he says (like other reviews have stated) that they are familiar with this place and don't like to come here either and hear complaints from all that have to deal with them. They buzz my husband back in and he pays and as he's signing for it he asks the guy if there are any possessions and he replies "obviously not". Such a jerk needlessly. My husband was not rude (I would have been) so he didn't need to be talked to in that manner. The charge broke down like this: $240 TOW $100 2 days storage (in reality was only 24 hours but again-- by the curlies) $35 Registered owner search (he says he is required to do this yet didn't quote this to me when I called) I get that I messed up and they are running a business but knowing people are in a bind already why be so unprofessional and ugly? Mr. T's Towing services are very helpful , the dispatcher in particular Anthony , took the initiative to make sure everything was squared away with the towing of my significant others car BMW 2011 . He unfortunately wasn't able to help us due to the care being stuck in park , and the battery being completely dead. He did however report to his boss, and they sent out more help. Although he went on to many other tasks i'm sure he had , he was very consistent with contacting me to ensure that someone did come out and eventually tow the vehicle. Previously before he arrived he had contacted me three times to assure me his ETA , to the current place where we were stranded, he went above and beyond to try and help us identify in certain compartments where the tools should be in order to have access to the car, to place it into neutral. We found out the car didn't come with necessary tools , but he did send relay the message as well as keeping in touch to see that our needs were met. You don't meet kind and willing folks like that ever, and i'm writing this yelp hoping anyone who comes across issues with their vehicle , is able to be addressed and cared for like the kind hearted individual we met on today , Thank you Anthony for all that you could do that was in your power. read more

I was there Thursday at 2:30 pm paid 535 dollars for my car picked up by Upland PD I had no key ( computer key) and they wouldn't bring out the car I called AAA they sent a truck, however, he couldn't retrieve my car with a flat bed due to the wrecks Mr.T's had in front of my car. The lady behind the glass said her drivers are busy I'm not priority, so they can't move their wrecks blocking me in, but they were just standing by their trucks looking st me. At 4:20 pm AAA sent second tow truck sadly due to high volume calls, it was also a flat bed and second tow guy said they still would not move the wrecks blocking my car, so I went back to the window and the reprehensible woman said it's not her problem my AAA sent the wrong kind of tow truck, and I had 20 minutes to remove the car from lot or I am charged another day and I have to come back the following day. Praise God for Golden Bear Towing The driver with the grace of God, got my car onto his truck with no key and his bare hands all alone. All while the tow guys at Mr.T's with AAA logos on their trucks watched, laughed and carried on conversation while my driver from Golden Bear Towing also with AAA logo worked to help me. I am asking all people with AAA to refuse service from Mr T's and go with someone else like Golden Bear AAA void your contract with this company and same to you Upland Police... If I could give this company negative star ratings I would. My truck was towed ($20,000 vehicle) on a Monday, on Friday I went to get the truck. Paid $540 to the towing company, now...they have placed a lien on my truck for the towing fee, which is paid. When I called to find out what was going on since the DMV has now sent a letter of intent to sell my truck, the very rude and verbally abusive lady on the phone tells me it is my fault it was towed and to get the lien removed I need to take the receipt to the DMV and prove I paid the bill. Why should I have to do this when the lien paperwork shows it was placed on the truck after I paid the tow bill and picked it up. Why can't they cancel the lien - which should have never been placed on the truck to begin with. I am so very angry - I think I might just get a lawyer! read more
