He literally got there in 10 minutes. I ain't going to lie at first I thought what's this guy going to do because, He rolled up in a little white Toyota RAV4. I was expecting him to pull up in some kind of service vehicle. He then proceeded to charge me for services rendered before Services were rendered. I thought to myself what if he just gives up and leaves saying that he couldn't perform the services but he didn't. He's stuck it out and finished the job even though it was extremely difficult. How does a business with an average rating of 1.5 out of 5 stars survive? Apparently in the case of Steve's Towing, by running an impound lot in addition to a towing business, and abusing its impound business. My wife and I are in our mid-70s, and recently our only car was stolen from the driveway in front of our house. It was found in the parking lot of a huge mall 30 miles away. Because my wife suffers from advanced dementia, when the police called to tell me they had found our car, I could not get away on short notice to recover it before it was towed to an impound lot by--you guessed it--Steve's Towing. The tow took place at about 2 in the afternoon on a Tuesday, and I phoned the business's impound lot shortly after it opened for business the next day. I told them about my difficulty getting away to inspect the car and asked what condition it was in. They stonewalled me, saying it was locked and they had no idea what shape it was in inside. During one call I made to ask whether I could authorize a neighbor to drive down with my key to retrieve our car, they said absolutely not! According to them, my only recourse was to turn the pink slip to the vehicle over to them and let them "junk" the car. They also said it would be sent to the junkyard in any case if I did not pick it up within three days. After this conversation, I spoke to a retired police officer who said that motorists, by law, have TEN TIMES THAT LONG--30 days--to retrieve their cars from an impound lot. Finally, less than 48 hours after Steve's towing towed our recovered car to their impound lot, a neighbor drove there with me while his wife looked after mine. Steve's charged for three days' custody of our car, plus their towing charge, even though they had had custody of the car for less than 48 hours. After I paid the charges and the car was brought out, I found it in virtually the same condition, inside as well as out, as before it was stolen. As it turned out, the thieves, who simply took our car for a joy ride, had treated us better than the liars at Steve's Towing, who pretended they had no knowledge about the car's condition when they most certainly were attempting to extort the pink slip to a used car in nearly perfect condition from an elderly couple caught between a rock and a hard place. If we had turned over our pink slip, Steve's would have sold our car and turned a profit of more than $2,000, because though our Toyota was nearly 16 years old, it had just over 100,000 miles on it and carried a Blue Book value of nearly $3,000 in the condition it was found. Judging by our experience, Steve's agents have the integrity and compassion of pond scum and thoroughly deserve the abysmal rating they have received from most of their customers. They survive on the basis of their contracts with police departments, not their business with civilians, whom they screw with impunity on a daily basis. read more

In my mobile home park there's an areas where you can park. I've been blocked by my neighbors and called this towing company and they have come and not taken the car(Im assuming that's THEIR FRIENDS CARS) the cars and claimed that they were not blocking anyone, even thought I clearly couldn't leave for work. Fast forward to yesterday, after the holidays. These people towed my car because it was "blocking" others cars, even thought I was parked in front of my own cars. Yes I've noticed my park it racist. As they were taking my car, we tired stopping them(STILL ON THE PRIVATE PROPERTY) and they just stopped a little bit and went on. When I called them they told if they couldn't get me to stop, they didn't have to. But according to AB2210 you have to stop. When I asked for the address to get here some goofy ass prick started to yell the address and I couldn't hear him because of how loud he was yelling. When I snapped back at him he realized he wasn't being professional. He was yelling at me like some teenager that didn't get his way? I thought this was a " business". He was trying to make me pay $520 dollars to get my car out. I've had my car towed from this place and they always charge me what they want. Whats their mood. This last asshole was trying to take advantage of the fact that I said I didn't have it to pull out my only car. There's laws that protect your from shit like this folks! I'm going to file a claim w the better business. The guy laughed when I said I was going to do it. Idgaf if it takes long. Daniel Suarez, you a bitch. And the guy answering the phone too. I was moving out of my apartment and had permission from Mgmt to park my car just outside of my drive way to load some heavy boxes. I have been moving since yesterday. Today I parked for a minute to go inside and load another box and this crackhead tow truck driver from Steve's Shady tow business pulls up and tows my car while the car is still on!!!! I'm sure he was just waiting, as stated in some of these reviews, apartment predators!!!!". It's Memorial Day weekend and I'm sure this crack head driver is gonna get his big commission for this tow.I called police because I had permission from Mgmt to park in driveway. Police said there's nothing they can do since it's a private towing company. I don't know if this shady company is contracted w our Mgmt company. If they are I bet the Mgmt company is getting a kickback also. It's not right that this shady business takes advantage of young hard working people who are doing their best to get their life started. There is another fee for processing paperwork. My sister tried calling to help pay w a credit card but this useless miserable P*O*S wouldn't take payment from anyone but me! Who cares where money is coming from!! She's also asking for mailing address for the credit card I'm using to pay. Makes me more suspicious about this transaction! This business needs to be investigated!!! So now I paid the BS fees and go to my car and it's STILL ON!!! I tried driving it but it won't go! I turned off car to try to restart but it won't!!!! Would leave 0 stars if I could. Called ahead for steps on how to pick up a company car, but the lady who picked it up was less thank helpful and rushed me off the phone. Upon arrival, they said we could not pick it up due to having a business credit card. They just wanted to keep it for an extra day. That was around 6PM. 730PM comes around and no tow. We call back for an update on time and were given an estimated time of arrival at 0315am! 9 hours to get help with changing a tire. Needless to say we limped it home and changed it ourselves. The last time we ordered a tow through AAA was for my 16 year old daughter who was stranded in the middle of the street and Rancho Cucamonga Towing was dispatched through AAA. The tow was ordered at 930PM and by 11PM the tow didn't show up. The police arrived because she was stuck in the middle of Haven Av and ordered the tow for us. Rancho Cucamonga Tow arrived in less than 30 min. How its it that they are a AAA contract tow and it takes them hours to arrive. We have a pending complaint with AAA reference the issue with my daughter and on Monday we will be calling AAA to file a second complaint due to the issue with my parents.

Disgusting tow service. Due to an accident, I had my motorcycle towed to this awful business. They…read moreare not open on weekends but I get charged for those days which makes no sense. They said there is a $150 gate fee to open it on the weekend. I had my accident on Friday and was released Monday afternoon which I had already accumulated a hefty fee. $90/ day with a $400+ tow. What is really messed up is that my bike, something that takes no space in their yard, gets that sort of charge. I understand that business is business but they were there at my crash sight and still decide to F$*@ me over like this.
