Called for a tow and got there within 20 minutes; Great experience with Ian, very helpful and fast, got to my location quickly and was able to help me narrow down what was wrong with my vehicle, super nice 10/10 experience after a rough night.

Photo of the tow warning sign at the parking lot entrance. The pole is visibly bent backward and the sign is damaged.

$730 for One Hour - Intimidating Late-Night Towing Experience My vehicle was towed at approximately 10:20 PM in Rowland Heights while my sister and I were inside Summerfield Tea Bar picking up drinks to go. We were inside for about 20 minutes. When we returned to the parking lot, our car was gone. We genuinely believed it had been stolen. It had been towed. A nearby employee told us that cars get towed from this lot "all the time" and mentioned there was a sign posted at the entrance. We went back to check. The entrance sign was extremely difficult to see at night. The pole appeared bent backward, and the sign itself showed visible damage. When driving into the lot in the dark, the text is not easily readable. There are only TWO warning signs mounted along the wall covering approximately 18 parking spaces. They are not positioned directly in front of each individual space, making them very difficult to notice, especially at night. We had to Uber to Pomona to retrieve the vehicle. The vehicle was released at approximately 11:20 PM. Total time in their possession: about ONE HOUR. Total charge: $730. Here is the exact breakdown: $250 - Private property tow $125 - Dolly fee $100 - Labor fee $65 - Daily impound (for less than one hour) $140 - After-hours release fee $50 - Administrative "city" fee Again, $730 for roughly one hour. I initially provided my credit card for payment. The card was taken to a back room out of view. After some time, I was told the card "did not go through." I have never had any issues with this card. I immediately called the credit card company on the spot, and they confirmed there were no problems and that the card was fully functional. At that point, my sister and I felt intimidated and scared. It was late at night, and we were unsure of what to do, so I called the police at 11:01 PM. I was told it was a civil matter and that there was nothing they could do. Feeling overwhelmed and pressured, I ultimately believed I had no choice but to use a debit card to get my vehicle released. It was late at night, and we were two women simply trying to recover our car. That card was also taken to a back room to be processed. While we waited, we could hear several men laughing inside, which only intensified our sense of unease and vulnerability. The entire experience was stressful, intimidating, and deeply unsettling. Being charged $730 for approximately one hour, while feeling pressured late at night just to recover my own vehicle, is something no reasonable person expects. After reading other reviews, this does not appear to be an isolated incident. We will be filing formal complaints regarding this matter. This kind of experience should not be normalized or accepted. If you believe you have been subjected to unfair or predatory towing practices, I strongly encourage you to file formal complaints so there is an official record. You can submit a complaint to the California Attorney General here: https://oag.ca.gov/contact/consumer-complaint-against-business-or-company You can also file a complaint with the Los Angeles County Department of Consumer & Business Affairs (DCBA), which regulates towing companies: https://iddweb.isd.lacounty.gov/dca_ecomplaint/

Beware!!! Got towed by Quik Tow in December 2025 and charged $605 even though there was no visible "No Parking" sign where I parked. Later found out the sign had been removed or damaged, so there was no way to know parking wasn't allowed. Had to pay just to get my car back.that's insane. I have photos showing there was no signage.

The guy who waits for you to leave for 5 minutes to tow your car...

Kevin Gonzales is a shame to the industry. Don't trust this towing company. Predatory towing company that waits till you leave your car for 5 minutes to charge you $300. Thankfully, I've contacted the Attorney General as well as the Better Business Bureau!

Here's a genius driver! He's mad cars honked at him because he almost caused an accident. He thought he should illegally block the ON ramp!!

Upon speaking with Anthony over the phone, he was able to sort out what he could do for me. I was priced at $296 for a flatbed towing truck and asked Anthony to drop me off at a location 17 miles away. Initially I was willing to pay for his service ahead of time but Anthony preferred I paid him in person, which is perfectly fine with. The day of service, Anthony communicated well by informing me when his previous job would end and when he would be arriving. Something I was pleasantly surprised by. After my car was hooked up to the truck, our 17 mile trek began. The drive was smooth and safe as he made careful driving decisions. All the while, we held nice conversations throughout the commute about one other's lives. Unfortunately, the location I was dropped off at did not have good cellular service so I had to pay Anthony a few hours later. He accepted Zelle payments so make sure you have service where you're being dropped off at to avoid my audition. Thankfully, he was understanding and was able to accommodate me for this by letting me pay later. All in all, I definitely would recommend his towing services. Thank you again!"

I had to have my SUV towed and stored at Al & Son's facility since I was catching a flight from the Ontario Airport and had no choice but to deal with my situation until I returned. This time around, I had another FANTASIC PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE getting my SUV towed. As I read some negative reviews about Al & Son's Towing - I want to mention what I witnessed from three people explaining their situations at the service window while waiting in line to pick up my SUV. Situation #1 One man was at the window trying to pick up his car - who was later identified not to be the legal owner and was not authorized to pick up the car. When asked where is the legal owner, he claimed the registered owner was out of the country. He was screaming and making threats. Situation #2 A female who had received a DUI did not obtain the required release paperwork from the CHP. She was extremely rude to the staff cussing at them. Situation #3 A man came to pick up his car but could not since the car was registered in his wife's name. This guy was caught with a prostitute in his wife's car (arrested and car towed). He was told his wife is the only one authorized to pick up the car as the registered owner. He was pleading at the window to let him take the car so his wife would not find out. Al & Son's Towing operates at the request of a CHP call and when you think about it - they are responding as a Service Provider helping the situation. I shook my head listening to these people in their troubled situations - passing the blame on to Al & Son's Towing who only provides a service. Both times, using this company - I have never had anything removed from my Motorhome or my SUV. So, when I read these negative reviews - I don't give these people much credit since their situations are already unfortunate. AL & SON'S TOWING PROVIDES GREAT QUALITY SERVICE !!!
