I have to say I walked into here and thought is it 1968? This place was tasty, reasonably priced, strange, and the service was excellent. The crowd was a site. This place is like going to grandmothers. It's homey from the decor, name, and the service. Everyone is extremely friendly and the food is just darn right good. This diner has been here for ever and today was my first time in. Safe to say it won't be my last. I got the breakfast steak w hashbrowns and eggs. AMAZING. The steak was a little too done. It I didn't even care because the seasoning was great. My mom got the corn beef hash and French toast and both were amazing. Huge portions of French toast. "Wonderful breakfast on the dime." Today I was introduced to Mr. Quicks. First impression was that it was a dive, yet i kept an open mind. I was greeted warmly which for me is always a good sign. You sit where ever there is space. The menu had good, affordable choices. I had the waffles with grits and cheese, and turkey sausage. The waffles were a little thin, but were great tasting. Nothing special about the eggs, but they will make it for you whatever way you like. I am not a coffee drinker, but i enjoyed the cup of joe provided. They actually use real shredded cheese on their grits (no processed cheese slices), yum. Ask for Lisa, she will take care of you with a smile. Its a family run business, some staff have been there for 30 years. Credit cards are accepted. Atmosphere is on the old side, but price, hospitality and food makes it a winner. Wonderful breakfast & lunch diner with a feel good, down at home, family atmosphere. The staff is super nice and very hardworking, given how busy they can get at rush hours. The menu selection is exactly what you would expect when rolling into a Mom & Pop diner and you can mix & match food items. The food is excellent and well prepared, and is served a couple minutes after you order. And the prices are very affordable, I was $10 out the door for a waffle, two scrambled eggs, bacon, hash browns, and toast. 3 generations of my family have gone here. When I won an award at school we told the staff as if they were family. When my grandfather died and then years later my mother, they mourned right along with us. Not exactly my cup of tea! I enjoy a clean inviting atmosphere, yummy food, and good coffee! I don't enjoy roches at my breakfast table, cold coffee, or dirty tables. To say the least it wasnt a very pleasant experience. My boyfriend got eggs, grits, a waffle, and a teeny tiny piece of ham. I got a bacon and cheese omelet big & fluffy, hasbrowns, and a bun. He said mine was better than his, which doesn't say much! The food was mediocre, nothing over the top! Best breakfast in all of Orlando. I always get the corned beef hash. I'm never in a rush when I come here, but a new server gal left me and a friend waiting for at least 20 minutes with no drinks and even left a dirty place setting at the bar sitting right in front of me... Then she didn't call out our orders for another twenty and it was an hour by the time we ate. I was starving. Next time I'll flag down another server sooner, because it was somebody else who got our drinks going. If you're looking for a greasy spoon, you can find it here. Clearly this establishment has hardworking staff who will deliver some awe inspiring grilled biscuits to your table. In case you are confused, as I was at first, a grilled biscuit is browned on a "short order" grill alongside hamburgers and bacon. The cook slices a very tasty, flaky biscuit into 2 halves, liberally applies butter to the cut side, and lays it on the grill until it is quite brown. The cook removes the biscuit, plates it, and adds a butter dollop on top. Personally, I think the second buttering is excessive, I just scraped it off. I've never had biscuit with quite this flavor before. I had a bite of omelet as well which was light and fluffy. I absolutely would order both again. read more

One word: Amazing! I've been eating at Mr Quick for several years now and the food and waitresses never disappoint. They know you by name and they know your favorite dishes! Now, It is a small diner but they serve breakfast, lunch and dinner all day; I have yet to try dinner or lunch since I'm addicted to their breakfast dishes, mainly the french toast! The prices are very reasonable, especially for the amount of food they serve you. If you want breakfast, try to get there early as they are packed in the mornings and you may have to wait for tables to clear. As for lunch or dinner, late afternoon or early evening would be best as it tends to become quiet and deserted. I love this place and highly recommend it! read more
