RUN DO NOT WALK! We popped in on the way to the gun show on a Saturday It was about 12 and we walked in ,in the middle of lunch rush You seat yourself. It seemed like there were only two servers but honey they did NOT need anybody else. Those ladies were holding down the fort like champs. Good attention to detail by the servers. Food was PERFECT. I think I've ever met and the cook did such an amazing job on my omelette. I love when they follow directions ordered an egg white omelette with the veggies well done in a western and they were very well done. It was perfect on top of the coffee. Seemingly an Orlando staple that has been open for many years, I believe it's been open since 1976. The food here is similar to a Cracker Barrel. Good diner style cooking with some Southern emphasis. Nothing fancy, but it is full of good, fresh ingredients. Hash browns were perfectly crisp on the outside. Lunch is standard dining fare: meatloaf, liver and onions, sandwiches. Again, the quality of the ingredients is key. Everything is from scratch, and the ingredients are top notch. There's also something important about the crispiness of a patty melt or any grilled sandwich. The grillmaster knows what he's doing (plus he'll give you a great smile when you tell him that). I have lived in Orlando for most of my life and have always passed this place. I finally tried this place out with some skepticism due to some of my family members not having the best experiences here. My bf and I came on a random weekday for breakfast and were happy when we left. Be mindful this is a breakfast and lunch place only as they close at 3pm daily. Our server Michelle is so sweet and very attentive. We ordered the single biscuit and gravy for him and I ordered the pecan waffle each with our own sides. The food was fresh and came out pretty fast. Everything tasted delicious and I am so happy with the choices we made. The interior is outdated, dingy, and unwelcoming to those looking for a little more luxury and modernity. As good as it gets for a mom and pop shop for breakfast and lunch. Down home comfort food that Im pretty sure hasn't changed a bit since 1976 when it opened. The servers were some of the nicest I've ever met. Even tho it was my first time, they made me feel like it was my fourtieth. The eggs were a little greasy, but you could taste pure buttery bliss. A little extra grease is to be expected in a hole in the wall diner setup like this...it is definitely not the place to come to count calories or have a salad. The prices are insanely good values for this area. You can tell what they haven't spent in keeping up with fancy tends, they've put into keeping things affordable, which is always going to win out for me. My boyfriend was off from work the other day during the week and was in the mood for breakfast. At first we discussed McDonald's but then he said he had a craving for biscuits and gravy. So I jumped on Yelp and I looked for breakfast places near where we lived. At first I suggested Judys which is down the street, I knew he had never been and knew in the past I got a lot of food for a low price. To my surprise Judy's didn't sell biscuits and gravy which is when Mr. Quick's came to mind. We love diners and wished Orlando had more and have passed by Mr. Quick's many times but usually in the evening when they were closed. We have been wanting to try Mr. Quick's out and it has been around for as long as I can remember. So it seemed the perfect time to try them out. He wanted more than just biscuits and gravy so he got a the biscuit and gravy platter; which came with two eggs hash browns, a choice of meat(he chose the ham) & lastly a order of biscuits and gravy. Unfortunately he was disappointed with the biscuit and gravy and said his over easy eggs seemed a little rubbery. As for my breakfast I went with one of the classic breakfast choices; two eggs(which I had scrambled with cheese), hash browns(with cheese) instead of the grits option and my choice of toast which I gave to my boyfriend because he wanted it to go with his eggs. Oh and let me not forget the upgrade for a dollar to add on a meat which of course was bacon. The waitress asked if I wanted shredded or a slice of cheese on my hash browns, I went with sliced American. I was a little disappointed in the fact that the cheese was not melted on my eggs or hash browns but overall I loved my breakfast. The place was very friendly as almost everyone that came in the door said good morning and seemed to be regulars. It had the classic diner feeling to it as well. I hope to return and maybe try their lunch or dinner options. My love for diners is usually because you get that home-cooked type meal for lunch/dinner and that's a hard thing to find at any other restaurant. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because my boyfriend wasn't impressed or satisfied but hope I can convince him some other time to return for lunch/dinner and give it another try. read more

This is a mom and pops place that have been around for a very long time. The staff are VERY homey and friendly. That will treat you like family. The menu is quite cheap. The ambience however is quite "homely cheap" per say. I ordered the burger and friesdue to craving for one. The burger was placed on a fire flamed grill. However the fries came from a frozen bag. Burger was pleasant with a grilled taste to it. Fries tasted like fries you fry from home. Customers are regulars here I can tell because they speak in "familiarity" terms or verbage..
