Fried fish breakfast sandwich
Shawn G.

Great little spot off of west colonial. They open at 7 to catch the breakfast crowd. I was nervous when I walked in because the line was long but it moved quick. The young lady taking orders was nice, quick and efficient. Good job trying to upsell by offering bottled water and home tea. I ordered a fish breakfast sandwich and it was perfect. Simple and tasty. Fish seasoned well, scrambled eggs with cheese on toast. I'll definitely be back to try some other items.

$5 salmon bowl

I stopped by Eat My Gritz for a quick bite for breakfast. I got $5 bowl with grits, eggs, and a salmon croquette. The food was tasty and I would definitely return. The restaurant was clean, but it was hard to find as there is signage for another restaurant on the outside. The service was friendly and fast. I recommend checking this place out!

I absolutely Love this spot !! The grit bowl has become a staple in my house . It's filling and not expensive at all !! I usually get the fish fried hard with cheese eggs & grits . The ambiance is busy and depending on who's working the counter will determine how fast the service is . The city workers always pile in here before work so the earlier you come the better. I've also tried the dinner which they offer dinner specials on certain days of the week, and it was ok, but I'll stick with the breakfast . They offer flavored lemonades that taste Amazing and their sweets are delicious as well.

The cocktails were beautiful in that almost-too-pretty-to-drink kind of way, except obviously I drank them. The food was rich, comforting, and the kind of good that makes you briefly stop talking, which for me is saying a lot. And then there was the truffle ravioli. I'm not saying I've thought about it an unreasonable amount since dinner, but I'm also not not saying that. Our server Colin was attentive, knowledgeable, and somehow made the whole evening feel even more special without ever hovering, which is truly an art form in itself. Magical Dining is such a lovely excuse to try some of Orlando's best restaurants while supporting local charities, but Delaney's is one of those places I'd come back to even without the excuse. Preferably with another plate of ravioli. And maybe another cocktail. For research purposes, obviously.

My son ordered a bowl of Lobster Bisque which was creamy and rich. The only problem was that they didn't bring any bread or even crackers with it, which I think is so strange when you're serving soup as a meal. Anyway, it was a $21.00 bowl of soup. They did bring a small plate of bread to him after I asked for it, so that was good. I had blackened Shrimp Tacos which were delicious! The shrimp was perfectly cooked and the slaw they used was spicy and flavorful (but not too spicy). I also had a side Berry Salad which was an upgrade in price from French fries. The berry salad was also good. We shared a Brookie Skillet for dessert and that was to die for. It had salted caramel gelato and marshmallows on top of it. It was a great meal, but pretty expensive for the portions we got. The service was great. Our server was kind and knowledgeable and quickly brought out bread for the bisque when we asked for it. I like that it has a good size bar with TVs for Sunday football. We sat at a booth table because I was with my son. It was comfortable! There were a few people in there finishing brunch and they were pretty loud. I think having brunch there would be fun. Cheers!

The seafood boil came with generous portions, and the crab legs had plenty of meat, so it definitely felt worth ordering. What really stood out was the seasoning. The Cajun butter sauce coated everything perfectly, and the corn, potatoes, and other sides soaked up all the flavor. Sometimes the sides feel like an afterthought at seafood boil places, but here they were just as enjoyable as the seafood itself. Overall, this was a great surprise. The food was flavorful, the portions were satisfying, and the service was warm and attentive. If you're in the Orlando area and craving a seafood boil, it's definitely worth making the short drive, even though it's not in one of the main tourist dining districts.

However, the portion was so small and the price was so expensive for that little tiny experience. I was very disappointed at the portion sizes and how much we had to pay. We got two soups one lobster roll and one quesadilla and spent over $87 plus tips ended up being over $90 total. We get home and open up what we bought and we're like -- Why did we spend almost $100 on something like this when we could've gone to a restaurant and had a better experience elsewhere and could have gotten lobster with sides and the full dining experience? As delicious as it was -- it was definitely not worth spending that much money on a food truck experience that was take home food. If I didn't eat the soup, I would've still been hungry after eating the very small lobster roll that look like a hotdog roll but smaller. For this reason is why I'm only giving them only a 3 star rating because it's not the food quality or taste that failed, because they really do have fresh lobster and it really has good flavor, but I have eaten at places like Nauti Lobster in Apopka Florida that is just as good but have better portions for the price. - Extremely disappointed - never again

I had to heat it up, but we were only a short drive from the truck. But overall, I have been impressed by the rolls each time I have had them.

When we got there, there were no available tables but they were able to slot us into the schedule and we were able to wait at Noir, the attached speakeasy. The staff is friendly and attentive and Noir had Thai inspired flavored drinks which was fun. Important to note, the drinks menu at Noir is different from the drinks menu at Talay. We almost made the mistake of not ordering at Noir because we were told our table was ready before we decided on drinks. We got the Salmon Choe Nam Pla to start and that was very delicious - the salmon tasted very fresh and the flavor was great. We were very sad when we finished this dish because we wish there was more. We also had the Tod Mun Goong as a starter which is little shrimp cakes and those were fun but not as impressive as some of the other dishes. Then we got the Pla Nueng Ma Now, a Chilean seabass as well as the Goong Ma Kam which is was shrimp with tamarind sauce. Both dishes were very good and had a really nice flavor. I think out of the two, the shrimp was better as the sea bass was a little thick and the flavor didn't soak through all of it. This was such a good meal and I wish I was a little wealthier so I could try more of the menu, there were so many options we were debating between and it was very difficult to narrow it down to three.

I ordered the Shrimp & Grits for my entrée and the Seasonal Bread Pudding for dessert, and overall, I really enjoyed my meal. The shrimp were juicy and flavorful, and the sausage was SO good! All of the flavors came together beautifully. Their Gouda grits are top-notch--creamy, flavorful, the peppers and onions added such a nice touch. Every component worked so well together, and the dish was extremely filling. I was definitely satisfied! I would have given the restaurant 5 stars, yet the bread pudding was a bit of a letdown for me. The texture was much denser than what I'm used to, so it wasn't quite my favorite. And y'all... the portion of ice cream that came with it was laughable! It was basically half a scoop of ice cream sitting next to this HUGE piece of bread pudding. I definitely needed more ice cream to balance it out! Nevertheless, dinner was great and I'd absolutely recommend The Stubborn Mule. The shrimp & grits alone are worth trying, especially if you're looking for a flavorful and filling dish!
