While their variety dwindles later in the day, the freshness remains even during non-peak times like midday afternoons. I saw this spot on Too Good To Go and grabbed a surprise bag to try them out. I arrived during the pickup window time and two other folks were there doing the same thing. The owner was helping customers and was very friendly and welcoming with everyone. They are new and have been in business for 5 months. He told me there is a variety in the box and that there is even a raspberry fritter in addition to an apple one, fancy. I was pleased with the variety of donuts. There were so many filled ones, I wasn't expecting that. I love a good jelly-filled donut so I gravitated towards those. There was a cherry-filled one with chocolate frosting that was unique, I liked it. And I prefer yeast/raised to cake/brioche but the chocolate cake donut was one of the best I've ever had. The chocolate flavor was strong and the donut was light, perfect. The blueberry cake also had a strong fruit flavor. Even the chocolate custard-filled was tasty, though I don't care much for custard/cream fillings. Every donut I tried was yummy and still tasted good, even after a few days. I did freeze the fritters for later. I'm glad I got to try this spot out and wish them much success! Go try them and see for yourself. read more

The maple bar had way too much maple on a basic grocery store donut and the chocolate cake was just average. Decided to find a small business to support when my child asked for a donut. How could I say no to a donut? When we arrived, there was only one other patron there. They had a nice selection of donuts available. We started with 2 donuts and also some donut holes. My son chose one covered in icing, sprinkles and m&m's. I went with the pumpkin donut as it had more of a cakey texture. Brought an old-fashioned donut home for my husband who enjoyed it as well. They all tasted fresh and delicious. Service was a bit slow as there was only one person working the counter. So that same person is the one making drinks, grabbing donuts, ringing up orders. This store is peak for me. It is local, convenient, and it's quaint. Coffee is fresh and dark last time I had em and the pastries are of scrumptious delight, I don't believe I have yet tried a stale donut but so far ya gotta try this. It's a good place to sit down, grab a fun snac with drinks, and not just sweet treats but something savory like their limited options of sandwiches I like, and just read a book. Though the shop's decor is sparse, and it sits inconspicuously in the corner of a large plaza, this donut shop has hit my top three in the valley, for sure! It's a family owned store specializing in, as the name suggests, maple flavored donuts - though they do have a variety of other traditional and specialty flavors! I finally made it back to Mr. Maple donuts. There wasn't much to choose from but it's because I walked into the door at 4pm and they close at 5 so I am not mad about that. The gentleman that helped me was really nice. He also gave me several donut stickers to give to my son. He answered all of my donut flavor questions and told me about their new donut of the month. I ended up with a Mr. Maple donut , chocolate with sprinkles, and a Maple old fashioned. They were all very good. I am a huge maple fan so these were great . This popped up for me on Yelp this morning and my husband and I right away decided we needed to try it! This is a clean little donut shop, someone (I think an owner?) came outside to greet me and my son which was very nice. The lady working there (also maybe an owner?) was so nice and gave my son a donut hole, the first donut he's ever tried! I got a marble and maple long donut and a mini cinnamon donut. They are soft and fluffy and sweet without being overly sweet or greasy. Super delicious and we all loved them! Convenient location as well, right off the 51 and was easy to find and park. This is a newer shop that recently opened. The inside very much looks like it as it's pretty basic but I'm excited to see how they fill up their space. There is currently no merchandise to purchase :(. The staff was SUPER friendly and patient as I looked over the selection. Onto the donuts... The pumpkin donut was a heavier cake style donut and had a great flavor and wasn't dry as they can be sometimes. I love that they offer a mini cinnamon roll, not super common, and was very fluffy. Overall the donuts were great. Not sure if I was early or late but some of the flavors only had a few (or none) available but I was still happy with the overall selection. It is imperative that I provide my vast donut connoisseur experience first. We get donuts weekly and usually order 6 of all kinds from donut shops all over including Voodoo, Rainbow, Bosa and good old fashioned Dunkin. The first time Mr. Maple got on my radar was when my cousin, who lives in Wilsonville, OR, brought a dozen donuts to a family gathering. The box lasted 5 minutes and it was the first time I experienced that magic in their donuts. I chose the double maple and it was unbelievably delicious, fresh with the perfect balance of sweet maple and donut. My hope was to get more donuts there next time I went home to Washington. Then, lo and behold I was cruising along Greenway and spied the unassuming Mr. Maple sign right by the 51 and was in total disbelief. I about pulled an E-brake into the parking lot and rushed in to find out if this was the same donut shop from back home. The owner is so friendly and shared that they only have around 3 donut shops and just opened this location in Phoenix. I have now visited Mr. Maple about 6 times and have consistently experienced the best donuts I've ever had. We've ordered a dozen and 6 at a time and my favorites are the powdered vanilla, powdered chocolate, double maple, apple crumb, cream puff, coconut donut and apple fritter. If I could advise on one thing it would be to only go to Mr. Maple for donuts. read more

Mr Maple Donuts is truly the cutest little donut shop! The owner personally came out to introduce himself and shared that this is their very first Phoenix location -- such a genuine, welcoming touch. As someone who is allergic to nuts, I always ask before ordering, and the staff immediately reassured me that this is a totally nut-free facility (minus coconut, which they make separately). They explained everything clearly and made me feel so safe and cared for, which I really appreciated. The donuts themselves were amazing -- fresh, soft, and real tasting (nothing artificial!). Super happy to come across this new shop on Greenway. I'm not sure how new it is, but I just noticed it next to the Ross & Food City. The donuts are soooo much better than at a chain like Dunkin', and they're even better than Bosa where I usually go! It's a small business and I love supporting those in the city. There are so many yummy flavors, including ones I've never tried before like cheesecake - happens to be my new favorite! And, of course there have boston creme, apple fritters, jelly, powdered (the usual flavor) donuts. The ones with maple icing are delicious and I was told they are best sellers (as it's called Mr. Maple haha).
