They were totally accommodating with my last-minute call to reserve a spot. The vibe is cool - fish and beachy decor. My kids loved all the big fish on display. The server was very attentive, even taking time and being relaxed, despite there being a full house. Every item ordered came out in a reasonable amount of time. No long wait for food or drinks. We tried a few items: Grilled octopus- AMAZING! One serving was for my 9 year old who loves it so we got a second serving for ourselves. It was too good not to order more. This review is only for the happy hour and the bar bites menu is only served at the bar from 4 - 6pm daily. There's a great variety of affordable seafood bites and that's also why you'd want to come early for the seats as they are limited. If you dining at a table, they will still honor the $1 oysters but not the rest of the bar menu. The steamed clams, boiled and peeled shrimp and fried grouper bites were all really good. First time because of yelp. Service seemed nice all though they were very late with the bread, rushed the soup and salad for some reason. Entree was ok, fish over cooked, broccoli not cooked enough and the potatoes were just warm. Worst part of the night they closed the wrong check with my credit card If I didn't notice I would have been charged another $50. Waiter says it happens all the time. Really? Not an excuse. Unfortunately I can't give minus stars. The owner is either misinformed or simply a horrible person. I arrived at the location with my wife who has a service dog. I advised I had a service animal in my party and was told he needed to have a vest. I attempted to explain that a service animal does not need a vest but he has one anyways. At that point I was told I would be denied service. After attempting to explain she was violating the law I was screamed at and told to "get out". I have never been so embarrassed in my life. While I should have contacted the police and filed a report, the embarrassing moment began to activate my wife's condition and I felt it was best to leave. I've been twice, and the seafood-swordfish, salmon, and red snapper-was always fresh, flavorful, and cooked just right, with sides that were equally tasty. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, perfect for a relaxed meal. Service was friendly and did a decent job; we were a party of seven, and it wasn't such a busy night since there were no parties waiting to be seated. My only gripe was the wait for drinks-about 20 minutes for water and 30 minutes for my drink because the waitress forgot. I'd suggest getting drinks and water out faster to set a great tone. I saw way too many recent recommendations to miss Monday dinner at Mr. Big Fish. On Monday's-order any drink and any meal (except if marked MP) is only $22 Wifey and I both ordered the Ocean mojito's ($11 ea) and the kids just had lemonades ($3.49 ea). Our waitress was great throughout the meal. Brought us extra bread (we hammered the first batch) and kept our waters filled. I ordered the Broiled Grouper with sautéed spinach and rice, Wifey got the Grilled Mahi Mahi au gratin potatoes and spinach and the kids got Fish and chips and the NY Strip-medium- and au gratin potatoes and broccoli. We all also had house salads (I highly recommend the house citrus vinaigrette. As expected, we all loved our meals and we all walked away full...with no room for dessert. My grouper was really done 'just right' and was delicious...and the sautéed spinach was a perfect pairing. If you're going on a Monday I recommend a reservation because the place was packed. As a self proclaimed foodie I've been disappointed in myself that I have not really enjoyed oysters. In Anthony Bourdain's autobiography he mentioned how the first time he tries oysters is when his view of food changed forever. These oysters could give that experience; highly recommend getting them as an appetizer, delicioso! It's hard to mess up lobster when you serve it as god intended with lemon and butter, and with 9 Oz at $38 with delicious sides you can't go wrong... get the scalloped potatoes as a side 100% My wife had the Chilean sea bass at the recommendation of the bartender and she was swooning over it, fresh and delicious.. we asked about the seasoning and the bartender actually went back and took a picture of it for us haha she was awesome read more

First time here and everything was outstanding including our waitress, Suzie. Recommend making an early reservation. By 5:30 the restaurant was packed and people were being seated outside. The Parmesan crusted grouper was delicious as well as the blackened red snapper. Excellent sides especially the au gratin potatoes and mashed cauliflower. Terrible experience at MR. BIG FISH tonight ruined by a xenophobic, absolutely appalling mannered waiter. He should be fired and the manager should care more about his customers. (this happened once before and the manager was on his side) He told us "Go back to your country you are not wanted here" and "never come back to this restaurant" ha ha ha my friend we will not with this hospitality! We recently came over from England for a vacation in Naples as we do every year and have been doing for quite some time now. We have been to this place a couple times before and had a similar experience with the same waiter. Tonight was something else! We left a tip that was a little under standard due to the fact he tried to take 20% gratuity from us (this is never normally added to the bill here) without saying anything, in other words he tried to pull a quick one. So we left a cash tip that was reflecting the offense in this gesture from him. We left the tip and he was lurking over our shoulders as if he was pressuring us for more. We left 10 dollars for a $120 check. Which would've been slightly higher had he not offended my grandmother! As we got up to leave the table he said "where is the rest" saying we agreed to pay the 20% gratuity which game to 24+ dollars - he was getting red in the face and angry - (we never agreed to pay this at all) he then raised his voice at my 75 year old grandfather and grandmother claiming what they're doing is illegal and that they're breaking the law (they've been coming here for 50+ years and never experienced any other trouble apart from this dude) - while shouting at them (75 years old by the way). He then exclaimed to us that hes calling the police and we are going to be sent to jail for what we have done as it is illegal. This guy is a total nut case and a very unprofessional waiter! Will never come back here, this guy should be fired for his actions this has happened twice now on separate occasions it is very unprofessional to confront customers in a business especially when other customers are there, but the manager tolerates this behavior as we spoke to him before and he stood up for this guy! We had a group of 6 and everyone had a different entree. I had the sea bass, which was excellent even having to pay market price. The salmon that my partner had was just the way she liked it. There was confusion as the gentleman next to me ordered the halibut and both our meals appeared the same. There was an error and he was brought the sea bass as well. They offered to correct the order, but he did not want to delay eating The manager was very generous and took care of the situation. Being new to the Naples area, I find the $$ as questionable. In Atlanta it would be closer to a $$$ rating. We were seated near the bar and trying to converse between 6 old friends was extremely difficult. The hostess did come to check on our table about 3 times, though nothing was said, it was obvious it was time to take our conversation to the parking lot. Had dinner with six friends at this restaurant and had a fabulous meal and thoroughly delightful time. Everyone ordered a different entree and all were equally delicious. To start, the bread they gave us for the table was amazing. Warm and tasty. The starter salads were awesome. Several commented on the delicious Ranch dressing (homemade). My grouper was perfectly grilled and the onion rings and asparagus nicely done. One of my friends said their crab cakes were the best ever. Because we all wanted a sweet bit, we shared a slice of carrot cake (it was huge). Definitely house made and so flavorful. Lots of cream cheese frosting but not so much that it dwarfed the cake itself. Our server, Kristin, was a breath of fresh air. Attentive, efficient, friendly, but not annoyingly hovering.
