No frills but it had everything we needed for a great stay! Some amenities need to be requested from the front desk but the employees are so accommodating and helpful. They kept apologizing for how small the rooms are but I didn't feel like our room was cramped. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. What else do you need? Upon checking in, they gave us each a drink token to enjoy in their lounge during our stay. Moxy does its best to foster a social environment among its guests and it shows. There are many lobby amenities offered and utilized. I stayed on a weeknight and there were many food trucks next to the hotel. Bonus!

I've stayed at the Moxy Hotel in London and so when I was planning our Seattle trip, I wanted to give them a try. We really liked our experience at the London location and so I was really happy we got to check out their Seattle location. As soon as I entered to check in I was greeted by the signature Moxy scent, it's citrusy and welcoming and I absolutely need to know what that is because I want my house to smell like that. The front desk is also a bar, so that made it really fun, we were given two drink tokens, to either get their batched cocktail or a espresso or hot chocolate, I loved that touch. Our room was spacious, a king size bed, a good size bathroom with a large shower and a little chair in the corner. Thankful that you can adjust the temp in the room, the London location had it set at a perpetual heat but this once we could actually adjust the settings. On one of the mornings we got up and actually used their gym which was decent, had a bike and weight machines and cardio machines perfect for an early morning session. The service here was really great, everyone was super nice and their lobby was always filled with people playing the games or just hanging out so it really was super cozy. My only gripe with this hotel is that there isn't included parking, so you had to park on the streets which is completely safe and fine but you have to remember Seattle's parking regulations. But overall, would stay here again, everyone is super friendly, the rooms are cleaned everyday and it just feels cozy.

We love staying at the Moxy everywhere in the world! What makes this chain hotel by Marriott so special is how they fit everything into such small rooms. Haha Kidding, while the rooms are really small and not suitable if you are on a weeks-long business trip since you do not really have a space to put clothes- at least not a lot. You always have a comfy bed and some Hanger integrated into the room's design and somewhat that can work as a desk or for a lunch table (for one). So when the rooms are so small why do we Come back? It's the vibe. The concept that Moxy has is to address the young independent traveler. With a backpack maybe one suitcase and for a short stay. And not like other brands all rooms and the hotel lobby are the same. With Moxy you don't wanna stay in your room you wanna go into your living room - the place to be. It's the community spot, the place to eat, to play, and yes to check - at the bar! Moxy is different and so is every Moxy in each city always a vibe of the town. Moxy is fun! This moxy in Seattle is no exception and features the timberland surrounding - always friendly young stuff makes you feel like you're sofa surfing with friends. We will be back in another town - we don't need to stay for a week or with two suitcases.

We're really easy to access. The ambience is really nice. Nice place to meet and greet.

Very cool boutique hotel while still having the name brand behind the Marriott. The lobby is very cozy and eclectic. The check in is also a bar, and they have a little menu that you can order from. They serve complimentary coffee as well. The rooms are small but cozy. Very unique decor that is stylish. The hotel is within walking distance to a lot! There is no hotel parking, but the street parking isn't a problem and it's not very expensive.

I stayed here for a couple of nights and enjoyed it overall. The staff at check-in are really nice and friendly. Like all Moxy's, they give a ticket for a free welcome drink that can be used on beer, wine, or espresso. The lobby area has an open layout, with plenty of seating and tables along with board games, a big jenga, and tv's broadcasting the games live. The room is a bit small, but cozy. Felt it was weird that the window is directly opposite of the other building so I just closed the curtains for the most part haha. The room does have a desk built in the wall and a beer bottle opener ftw! There is a gym with cardio, free weights, filtered water, towels and even some spare headphones (new and packaged individually) for use. The location is great and it's only a couple blocks away from lake union which made for a nice run in the morning. It says it's downtown, but it's really south lake union. The walk isn't bad though if you're trying to go sight seeing around the city. Would definitely stay here again!

What Moxy hotel is all about...

My first time staying at a Moxy hotel. The pictures on the website intrigued me. I'm very impressed! Love the casual comfort & ambiance there. The friendly staff explain that it's unique in that it's designed for the rooms to be very simple with hopes that people spend more time downstairs in the lobby/bar/lounge/gameroom area, to encouraging socialization. An excellent idea especially for single travelers! The room is simple & uniquely decorated. They don't have refrigerators or microwave ovens in the rooms but it can be requested. Nice bar area & they give you a complimentary drink at check-in! Great location, very close to downtown Seattle, Volunteer Park, Seattle Center, Pike Place Market & more. Very fun place! Sorry I couldn't stay longer to experience it more.

Stayed at this hotel for a work trip. On one hand, it's close to touristy spots, Whole Foods, CVS. It's affordable, and you get a ticket redeemable for one free drink. They also have a basement gym. I got a surprise menstrual cycle visit and when I asked if they had pads they gave them to me (free) , no questions asked, literally saving my pants. You have to ask but if you want a microwave or mini fridge they'll send someone up to your room to give it to you. I wasn't a huge fan because I'm familiar with Marriotts and they tend to have more amenities. I was hoping for closet/drawer space, coffee/tea available whenever, teeny little travel bottles of lotions/soaps. I was told that they purposely do this so that people could spend more time mingling in the lobby area. So if you're a fellow introvert, this may not be your ideal hotel. Otherwise, you'll enjoy the contemporary social atmosphere.

We love staying at Moxy Hotels and the Seattle location is the one that started it all for us. Initially, I only booked it because it was a super low nightly rate (for being in Seattle) but knowing what I know now, I definitely would have paid more. For starters, you check in at their bar (which is awesome, by the way) and you're given tickets for a complimentary cocktail upon check-in (the freebie is their "Moxy" cocktail. It's ok, but there's barely any alcohol in it). The rooms are tiny with minimalistic amenities but if you're in Seattle to sight see and not relax, it'll suffice. There is a small work desk, large comfortable bed, large tv and a nice walk-in shower. The lobby has lots of seating to socialize or just chill by yourself. There's a small selection of drinks (water, soda, etc) and food you can purchase. For hotel guests, there's free coffee available in the morning. Something I really appreciated was the water bottle refill station. That helped a lot. Just know that the bar area is open to anyone. Not just those staying at the hotel. So on weekend evenings it tends to get pretty busy. You'll need a room key to access the elevator so no need to worry about some random weirdo roaming the halls. Location was pretty good. We were fairly central to popular attractions like the Space Needle and Pike Place. All in all, I would definitely stay here again. It's a nice hotel with solid offerings and amenities.

The size of their rooms are smaller than other Marriotts hotels but very modern and stylish. I really like their minimal decors for the room. The only drawn back is they do not have a fridge in the room. They have a huge lobby with a bar at the center and activities to encourage guests to spend time in the common areas. All the staffs/bartenders/servers there were so friendly and helpful. I will definitely stay there again next time just because of them.

Loved this hotel such great customer service. They only charged me $580 for 4 days. You are also close to CVS, waterfronts, and other restaurants. Great location! It is close walking distance to Space Needle Downtown Seattle Capitol Hill Pike Place Market There is also a train which takes you there almost immediately in like 15 mins. They also had a great drinks such as the "Moxy Cocktail." They also have a Jenga, Foosball, SeatSaw, Connect 4, gym

The staff here is so friendly! They are kind and welcoming and remember you as a return guest. The bar is awesome!! Lots of great drink choices! I also had one of their flatbreads and it was delicious!! The rooms are also fun and have great decor and functionality! The bed is super comfortable and the shower is great! I plan to stay here anytime I'm in Seattle!

I was all set to love this Moxy as much as I loved the Moxy in Munich. Alas...they're not the same. I mean, they're the same brand and you get pretty much the same things, but this hotel's rooms are much smaller than the Munich one, and had some quirks that I'm still puzzling over. It had the same youngish-vibes throughout the hotel, from the lobby to the elevators (which were decorated to make it look like you were inside a jacket pocket) to the bright pink toiletries and hair dryer in the room. But...the bathroom was right next to the room's entrance - seriously, like all you had to do was take a step from the front door to get to the toilet, which is a bit off-putting, honestly. I don't want to have to worry about someone walking past hearing me tinkle! The room had a hand-held steamer, but no lotion. It had a tiny microwave, but no fridge. It had a fold-up desk, but no safe. It felt very utilitarian, even for one who knew going in that it wouldn't have some "basic" amenities (nightstands, drawers, etc.) The best thing about the room was the shower, hands down. The rainfall showerhead helped wash away the stress of travel and sweat from the hot, humid summer weather. Only one side of the bed - which had a decent mattress, at least - had outlets or any place to plug in devices. The only other outlets were in the bathroom or at the fold-up desk. (Hint, if you need more power, unplug the naked light fixture to reveal two USB chargers and another outlet.) The best thing about the hotel was the location. It's only a mile to Pike Place - which is how I measure just about everything when visiting Seattle - and situated just a few blocks from the South Lake Union area. Lots of running/walking spaces, plus a nice selection of casual to upscale restaurants within easy walking distance. Also, if you're thinking about hitting the CVS that's a couple blocks away, just don't. They were so picked over and understocked the one time they went in I just have to believe they were brand new. Instead, hit the Bartell Drugs off of Mercer Street for fully a stocked store and knowledgeable staff.

Gorgeous new place on the block!!…read more Stunning new event space right in south lake union/ downtown with sweeping lake union views. Views alone were worth a trip or 4!! Came for the opening of this shiny new spot yesterday. A gorgeous 3,000 square foot event space that was completely remodeled: with in house catering, vendors, event planners, photo booths, musician! And the food. It was like going to a super fun wedding minus the formality of it. The owner was there as well: super passionate and shared the story of how she bought this space sight unseen: took a long process in turning this into a gorgeous space that it is now. It was super cool! And the food!! They allow outside catering too but the in-house catering: Kaspar catering : baos topped with micro greens and mint. Steamed to serve! Poke rolls :delicious! Panna cotta : in a cup! Lisa Dupar catering: this one was fantastic as I've had a chance to taste their food in the past at a wedding. The gorgeous cupcakes, macarons, molasses cookies and stunning cake. All were so pretty! Mark ryan wine! I mean, what's not to love as it's one of the wineries I frequent in Woodinville wine country. My pup baci's favorite too. Luxe Photo Booth: this one was so fun! The 360 Photo Booth!! I've seen them in Time Squares recently as well as at a valentines event. But this one was so much more fun as I didn't have to wait in line or fight the crowd for it. The person that was running it was super friendly and helpful too. The jazz musician was pretty rad too. And they had valet!! Butler Valet: All the friendly guys in uniform waiting for you as you arrived during rush hour in downtown: pretty darn cool. All events should be this cool. I'm only going to events with valet from now on! Ok thanks. Overall, this was such a fun place.I came to check out the space: left with all the food and fun.The space, the team, the design, the music!! And that Photo Booth: all are essential part of throwing an epic event. All events should be this fun!! I guess they will be if you throw them here: weddings, birthdays, corporate events, sweet 16th. I wouldn't mind coming here for a photoshoot: hello contents!!Or just a fun anything event.Did I mention the views?? Ahh the possibilities!!!

The space itself is lovely and versatile, providing a unique value proposition for the size of space and delivering on quality across the board. The venue itself is beautiful, warm, and welcoming. Somehow they managed to create a space that felt both respectful and comforting, exactly what we needed to gather and support one another. What amazed me most was how smoothly everything ran. Organizing a memorial could have been incredibly stressful, but the Georgetown team handled every detail so thoughtfully that it felt easier than planning a Sunday barbecue. They truly took care of everything. The food was wonderful, the service was flawless, and every staff member treated our family and guests with kindness and dignity. On our wedding priorities list-finding a venue that we loved, felt connected to, and fit our "vibe"…read more(we called it playful modern? Idk, lol) was the highest priority and the first wedding planning task we took on. We live in Seattle and wanted to get married in the city, and were drawn to industrial type venues. I think all in all we toured 15 venues across different Seattle neighborhoods-a handful in the Sodo neighborhood- and ended up choosing WithinSodo for it's versatility in space, it's already existing beauty (hint-budget brides- you really don't need much additional decor unless you really want it), the welcoming staff, the easy kitchen for caterers, its size being large enough for our group but small enough to still feel intimate (we invited 200, 140 showed) and the opportunity to have some outdoor space on our wedding day. Even before our wedding day, each time we waked into the WithinSodo space we felt butterflies, the energy is really something you can't see or touch but you can feel it and we loved it. While needing to use the in house bar at first felt like a con because it can be more expensive than doing it on your own-in the end became a pro as the ease of having everything taken care of by talented professionals (our drinks were amazing, the bar staff even worked with us to create a secret cocktail on the menu) was well worth it-and the cost was much lower than we expected given our friend group of happy drinkers. We just loved everything about spending our wedding day at within Sodo from the ambiance and the slow reveal of different rooms in the space and especially the rooftop dance party and we'll be forever grateful that we chose this space. Kate. We can't review WithinSodo without gushing about Kate, which feels truly evil because not everyone will get to work with her in the same capacity as we did. Sorry everyone. Kate is the venue representative but happened to be filling in for the on-site day of coordinator to plan and execute our wedding day while WithinSodo was going through a coordinator staffing change. However, we have to elaborate on how lucky we feel to have been placed with Kate and how lucky you'll be to have Kate play ANY part in your wedding day as part of the WithinSodo team. We were able to completely relax and enjoy our wedding day because Kate worked so hard and so efficiently leading up to it and the day of the wedding. Kate's astute attention to detail got us thinking about aspects of our wedding day that we hadn't even considered, and through the answers she gleaned from her thoughtful questions she knew exactly what was important to us and where we were more flexible. She got to know us, our story, and our hopes for the day so well and by the time the wedding day came we trusted her without reservations to solve problems, make decisions, and execute the best night of our lives so that we could be present. As a wedding client you have unlimited virtual or in person walk-through sessions at the venue as you're planning, and we found ourselves taking every opportunity possible not only to come see the space in person but to spend some time with Kate. Her professionalism is 10/10 but in a way that still leaves her completely approachable and fun to be around. Kate-we know that you moved mountains for us on and before our wedding day and we will never forget the love and care you gave to us. We just received a sneak peek of our wedding video and Kate makes a tiny appearance and our hearts bursted with joy when we saw this because she became so cherished in our wedding memories. While she was in the background making everything happen she was very much in the foreground of gifting us calmness, confidence, and reassurance on our wedding day. Thank you Kate we adore you!!
