Stayed here one night and had a great experience overall. Check-in 5/5 stars: They were able to accommodate me and checked me in early when I arrived. It helped a lot after a 6am flight. Breakfast 2/5 stars: I would say it's a very mid breakfast, but I can't complain when it's free. They have a pancake maker that makes thin pancakes within a minute. Breakfast had cereals, breakfast burrito, potatoes, scrambled eggs, turkey sausage, hard boiled eggs, assorted muffins, breads, and bagels. They also had healthy options like Greek yogurt with granola, shredded almonds, cranberries and fresh fruit like bananas, oranges, and apples Room 4/5 stars: not sure if it was just my room because I had a corner room, but the size was pretty big for a room. The layout made it seem spacious. 2 large windows so it was bright and their shower head pressure was a 8/10. Strong pressure and one of the best as U.S. hotels I've stayed at. Wood floors in the room so it seems cleaner. Location 10/10: super close and walking distance to space needle. After comparing this to homewood suites downtown Seattle where I also stayed, this is a much better hotel. It seems more modern, they have fresh coffee in the lobby and they give free cookies in the afternoon at the front desk. I liked the location and vibe more than homewood suites which seems more geared towards Senior people. This hotel had a mix of younger and older people and families. read more

This place is amazing. We stayed there before are cruise. Very clean and great beds. It fit are family of 5 wonderful. The staff is wonderful and very helpful. Berry with food service went out of his way to help get a great breakfast. People coming and going he was on top of it and made sure coffee was ready to go for us busy customers. My daughter and I were spending a few days at Seattle Downtown. This Hyatt location was close proximity to Space Needle and it also has the view of it. Our room was on 6th floor and we were able to see a clear view of the Space Needle. There's Walgreens across the street especially if you need laundry detergent, bottled water, or pain killer meds. Pretty convenient. There's free breakfast. If you want to avoid the crowds, plan to go before 8 am. Guest laundry self service is on 9th floor and it's 24/7. There are 1 washer and 1 dryer and they are managed by PayRange Laundry app. It was pretty easy to use and there app has countdown timer to alert you when your laundry is done. Laundry detergent can be purchased from lobby's store or across from Walgreens. I didn't rent a car so I'm unsure of the cost for parking. read more

My wife and I were very happy with this hotel, Hyatt Place Seattle/Downtown. I give it a solid four Yelp stars. We stayed one night, a Wednesday, in a "King Bed (with Sofa Bed)" room for $248.75. The nightly rate was $210.80 before $33.20 occupancy tax and a $4.85 "Seattle tourism" surcharge. I booked and prepaid online directly through Hyatt's website, only three days in advance. If I recall correctly, a "King Bed Space Needle View (with Sofa Bed)" room was about $10-20 extra per night. I didn't think a Space Needle view was worth an extra $10-20, so I booked a standard King room. We got Room 316. It turned out to have a Space Needle view, so we lucked out and got the view without the extra cost. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. There were plenty of power outlets for our devices, the Wi-Fi was fast enough (not that we spent much time on it), the AC worked well, and the ice machine wasn't far away. It was pretty much everything we wanted in a basic hotel room. The floor plan was also to our liking. My wife likes to spend her downtime on the sofa and this room had a sizable living room area with a clean, comfy sofa, coffee table, and end tables. The hotel has nine floors. It opened in 2010 and was renovated in 2018. Our room and the building overall had a good design and looked modern enough. Breakfast is served 6:30am to 9:30am, daily. It was included with our stay, but we slept in and missed it. We did get hot coffee in the lobby and brought it back to our room. It satisfied us. On my reservation confirmation email, the checkout time was listed as 11:00am. When we checked in, we asked for a later checkout time. Hyatt employee Lydia was able to give us a late checkout at 2:00pm, which we appreciated. Lydia was fantastic. She was super friendly and helpful. The customer service was five stars and she was the main reason why. The lady working the front desk the next day when we checked out was friendly and efficient too. She was very busy helping other customers, both on the phone and in person, and she still checked us out with a smile. Before she helped us, I saw her helping another party, who had just checked out, move their luggage temporarily into a storage room. Both online and in-person check-in and checkout were a breeze. Hyatt was very communicative via email. I chose this hotel because of its terrific location. It's central to Seattle Downtown, Lower Queen Anne (Uptown), and South Lake Union. It's only a six-minute walk to Seattle Center, which has the Space Needle, museums, theaters, and arenas (e.g., Climate Pledge Arena where the WNBA's Seattle Storm and NHL's Seattle Kraken play). read more

Look at that view. If you want a view of the Needle, just ask for room 920 or adjacent. I'm sure the rooms below it are just as nice. Got two rooms (another for adult kids) on the top floor which is great for the view. Rooms were clean and well maintained. No drawer space and thin space for closet but as a business hotel like Hyatt Places are set up for, this is the highest rating I would dare give a Hyatt Place. Came in June and what most will notice is that this hotel serves as a pre-cruise hotel full of people spending a couple pre-cruise days before getting on a ship to Alaska. What that means for you if not on a cruise is potentially early morning noise, long lines at the elevator, and a sea of humanity in the lobby during breakfast....but wait...that view...lol! Easily walkable to Belltown, the Public Market, and the Space Needle, the hotel is centrally located and has secure underground parking for those renting a car. It is also in a very safe area with easy access to the highway. The morning breakfasts have something for everyone and can be quite crowded during cruise season, but it is extremely clean and well maintained. Our room had a king-size bed with a seating area for 4, a wet bar with coffeemaker and a desk working area. Private toilet and shower tub behind closed door. We stayed here recently and had a good experience. They allowed us to check in early for a $25 fee, which we were ok with the drop our bags and wait for the rest of our party. The rooms are spacious. They have a separate sitting area with a couch, desk, mini-fridge. The bed was comfortable. The pillows were a little too soft, but I used two. The room was quiet. The two main elevators are slow, so we used the stairs a couple of times. They don't have a pool, but we knew that when we booked. We booked with points through Hyatt and had a nice view of the Shell gas station behind the hotel. Another group in our party paid through Expedia and received a Space Needle view room. Overall, it was a nice hotel and we would stay here again. read more

I loved our stay here! Friendly service all around, free hot breakfast, decent-sized rooms, and location, location, location! There are views of the Space Needle from some of the rooms, and the walk there was only about 10min. We had a double queen accessible room and it was a really nice size! I like the layout, and the couch has a pullout bed as well, which was perfect for our stay. There's a minifridge and desk, and the sink/closet are separate from the shower. The room was surprisingly quiet, even with people walking around outside. We were next to a staff room, which might have contributed to it. But we couldn't hear anyone in the adjacent rooms, and just heard a bit of passing noise when people walked by. Super easy checkout, and you can leave your suitcase at the front afterwards if you have a later flight. They can also call cabs too - $45 flat rate to the airport! read more

Overall 3.5 stars. But their Asst. Mgr - Harrington is 5 stars all the way. My 1st night there, I was disturbed b/c of the lighting and furniture (TOO DIM). He went out of his way to buy me a camping lamp at Walgreens to brighten up my room! It was seriously the best part of my stay at the Hyatt Place. They give you an orientation flyer with nearby restaurants. They are right across from Walgreens. They have 24/7 ice water, hot water & tea, and coffee. They also provide bags of chips in case you get the muchies. I was told they are due for a major renovation beginning in November (much needed update to lobby, eating areas, and the rooms). - Everything was dimly lit in my room (as mentioned above), especially annoying was that the bathroom had only 1 light kind of near toilet, there needs to be a canned light in the shower too. - The room is poorly designed. Their pocket closet door was really annoying, you had to dig deep to get to your stuff. - The HVAC / Heating worked well, and the service to get you extra sheets, comforter, toiletries, was on point - The chair for the desk was bad for my back, hard to study, not ergonomic Just pls be aware that they don't do beds on Weekends. So I was misled to believe housekeeping would tidy up. But they got it all resolved on Monday, no problem. Their pool is permanently closed. No jacuzzi either. Their business center needs better lighting and furniture. Breakfast was hit and miss. They weren't prepared by 6:30am. Sometimes the eggs come out way later than other items (challenging when on a tight schedule). There were only whole apples at the first few days of my stay. Then they started to served bagged fruit (imagine a XXL fruit salad) that had decent pineapples and cantaloupe here and there. They have too many sweet options. Pls some sugar free or no sugar options would be great for bkfast. Each room has a mini fridge. Overall my stay was decent. I was just disappointed b/c I had just stayed in a well designed, well furnished, and abundant breakfast buffet at Hyatt Place in Las Vegas. I was expecting the same. This is a great option in downtown Seattle! Super close to the needle and a lot of great food! It was maybe a 20 minute walk to the pike place market as well. The room was spacious, comfy and clean. Overall had a positive experience at Hyatt Place Seattle/Downtown. The layout of the room is small-ish (the sink was located outside of the bathroom). If possible, try to request a room with a view of the Space Needle. There is a parking garage connected to the hotel, which is super convenient, but also expensive ($45 per night). It is, however, comparable to a nearby parking garage on 112 Boren Avenue North with in/out privileges at about $42 per night via Spot Hero. The hotel would definitely attract more customers if the parking cost was lower or included as part of the stay. Pros: Location (just a few blocks from the Space Needle) and free breakfast (coffee, juice, cereal, eggs, potatoes, fruit, and a rotation of biscuit, pancakes, or waffles). Staff were nice, shout out to Kayla for helping us out during the check-in process! Cons: There are unhoused individuals living in the area, it's not the safest area to be walking around alone late at night. The hotel staff need to keep the front doors closed early in the morning to prevent unhoused folks from grabbing free breakfast (sometimes they succeed) and also late at night. read more

Stayed here for several nights in March. The room was clean and quiet. We had to move rooms mid-stay as our initial reservation expired and the new one was for a different number of beds. They were able to orchestrate a room transfer in the morning, so that went smoothly. This hotel was good enough for our stay and we weren't there too long because we were busy exploring the city. The breakfast was basic and convenient, nothing fancy but great way to start the day. The room was tidy, organized, and spacious. If you don't plan on staying in the room much, then I recommend them. I have 2 complains. 1) Parking was $45 a night. I'll always complain about paying for parking, and $45 is ABSURD!!! It should be free or included with the room somehow and for cheaper. 2) The morning of checkout there was a moment where the hot water stopped running while showering and I had to shower with cold water. I survived but wasn't happy about it. Lol. read more

We were a bit shocked when we first entered the room. It was very small and very cramped. The AC unit was two inches from the bed, so no one could lay on the bed next to it if it was on. Other than that, the room had everything we needed. Everything was clean and in good operation. Part of our plan was to use the clothes washer and drier. Don't plan on it. There was one washer and one drier. They were hard to find available, the washer leaked, and the drier didn't really dry, so we had to lay our wet clothes out around the room. If your plan is to use the pool, also dont bother. We entered the indoor pool room and couldnt stay inside for more than a few minuted due to the extreme chemical smell that burned our eyes, nose and throat. The breakfast was fairly nice. There was cold water, coffee and tea available at the entrance at all times. The hotel is also nicely located within walking distance to many of the popular attractions of the city. I'd consider staying there again, but with lessons learned. read more

Dear Mr. Griffin and Ms. Hunt, I'm writing to express my extreme disappointment regarding a recent experience at your Hyatt Place property located at 110 6th Ave N, Seattle, WA. I flew in from Sacramento with my family of five--including young children--only to arrive at the hotel around 11:00 PM and be informed that our reservation had been lost due to a system upgrade performed on July 8th. After a long day of travel, we were exhausted and expecting a smooth check-in. Instead, we were met with confusion, no reservation, and no resolution. This was a serious failure on your part. There was no prior notice, no outreach, and no ownership of the mistake at the front desk. The lack of urgency or compassion for a traveling family with children late at night was extremely upsetting and unacceptable. I've already shared this experience publicly on social media, as guests deserve to know how system errors and poor customer service are handled. That said, I still expect Hyatt to do the right thing. I am requesting immediate compensation for the hardship, inconvenience, and expenses incurred due to this completely avoidable situation. I look forward to a prompt and appropriate response. Sure, this is close to the space needle but the elevator has been broken for at least the past 3 days but most likely longer based on other guests' comments. It's ridiculous. We're actually still here now and everyone is frustrated and the staff has no idea when it'll be fixed. Why can't they get it repaired ASAP? The location of this place was excellent. Just a few blocks from the space needle. The room itself was mediocre. You can tell it is an old hotel that they renovated. The room that we stayed in, was very mediocre. Not at all what I would expect for a Hyatt Place. The furniture it sells, had a lot of scratches and dents. The room was not well-maintained at all whatsoever. There were instances where my son and I sat on the couch, and we smelled something funky and we couldn't figure it out. I had to lay a sheet over the coach. Housekeeping staff were not friendly at all. This is a first for me. Front desk staff were excellent. Morning breakfast was a hit for my son. They served different options on the weekend that we stayed. There is always coffee, cold water, hot water available in the lobby. Would I stay here again... probably not. Cheers! read more

We were three in our room, and I had the pullout couch as my sleeping accommodations. The mattress was stained with body fluids and extremely gross. We were there two nights. They had no solution other than offer extra comforters to put between my body and the offensive mattress. Gross! I complained to Hyatt corporate and never heard back from anyone. How does this pass any standard for acceptable hotel expectations? Yikes. I'll never stay at a Hyatt again. It was literally disgusting. read more

I stopped by this hotel to hang out with a friend visiting in town. The parking situation suuuucked royally bc its in the middle of Denny Triangle but the staff let me park in the unloading zone since I'd dropped her off & wasn't staying very long. The hotel staff are friendly and knowledgeable about where to go grab a bite to eat if you're out late at night. There's a few homeless that were using the space where you enter as shelter but the lobby doors remain locked so you have to use your key for entry and the staff won't let you in. The layout of the room is a bit wonky bc its on a point & the room she was in had a view of the space needle so that was cool. If you're looking for touristy location to stay this would be a great spot bc you can walk to the needle and watch a kraken game or hit up a concert at Seattle Center or whatever they call it now. read more

Our stay at the Hyatt Place in Seattle was between March 16th and March 23rd, 2025. The location of the hotel was very close to the Space Needle and was within walking distance of several good restaurants. At the hotel, the complimentary breakfast selections were good with French toast, eggs, sausage, and hash browns as the main warm entrees. Cereals, juices, breakfast pastries, and fruit were also available. The dining area was spacious with seating available for the many diners at breakfast. Our room was clean and we had a great view of the Space Needle, but it lacked a couple of amenities that we would have liked: a safe for valuables and bureaus with drawers for clothes storage. In particular, the service at the first desk was excellent with Don answering all of our questions and responding quickly to glitches that we experienced related to our room during our stay (a non-working television and heating controls in the room that were difficult to understand). He also provided us with information related to favorite restaurants and the various tourist sites that we found interesting. Don's friendliness, helpfulness, and the quality service he provided were definitely the high point of our stay at the Hyatt Place. read more

Haiiiii YAAAAAAAA! Stayed here for 3 nights and 4 days for a fun trip. Great room for a king size bed. View was amazing because Space needle was right in front of you. Heating was essential and they delievered. Accommodations were not the greatest. The fitness center and pool was pretty tiny. I tried to work out at an off hour time, but it was too crowded with another person using the dumbbells. This was probably where half a star goes bye bye. The other half star decline was the card reader situation. It was very finicky. Nonetheless, the free breakfast was pretty standard and the staff workers were very friendly. If you're looking for a great stay close to downtown Seattle, this place is perfect. The Space Needle and Chulily Garden is a few blocks away. A couple of local dive bars, Walgreens, and 7-Eleven down the block. Everything is easily accessible from this location. Parking garage is a little over 30 bucks a day. Scooters, bikes, are always within a few blocks, if not, right outside of the hotel. I totally recommend riding one of those things around Westlake Center and to Pikes Place. Complimentary breakfast every morning and Starbucks coffee 24/7. The elevator was messing up on my last day. Spent 5 days and 4 nights here. My bathtub was clogged up when I first arrived, but they fixed that right away. The service is great. Every employee I've encountered has been great. It's a little outdated but a great stay nonetheless. read more

Stayed here for about a week because we got a good deal. Everything was clean and sanitary which is probably the most important thing. Keep in mind, due to Covid protocol, the room service will not clean your room unless specifically requested. Also, I'll share my booking experience in case it saves someone else down the line. When booking on a 3rd party site, be extra careful when you see things like "Double King Room". I was under the impression that we would get two separate beds, but the incredibly slick "hotel lingo" often labels things by their capacity. In other words, since a King size bed has a capacity for two people, they can say Double King room. This wasn't the fault of Hyatt because we booked through Stayforlong. The manager here did a good job and switched us to a double queen room when they had an opening at no charge. You could see the space needle from our room, and you're essentially right there in the downtown area. About 15 minute walk to Westlake station, maybe 20 to Pike Place, and 10 to the Space Needle. The breakfast was a bit underwhelming but I think that's likely in all hotels during Covid time (This was my first stay since it hit, so I can't compare). Overall, good hotel for a good price. NEVER STAY HERE! I unfortunately stayed here a few months ago in May for one night. Initially, things were going well, as the manager kindly let us check-in a few hours earlier than our check-in time. However, the next morning things went down hill fast. Before going down to the front desk to check out, my mom and I were starting to load our luggage and other personal belongings into our rental car that was parked in the parking garage that is connected to the hotel. When we came back to our room to retrieve the rest of our stuff, the cleaning lady had removed all of our personal belongings, including the $80 unopened box of pork buns that my mom bought specifically for my aunt, whose husband just passed away. Mind you, we did not leave our hotel room unlocked or opened. And of course, the only items left in the room were our opened food items from the previous day. When we asked her where our stuff was, she couldn't tell us because there was a language barrier, as she didn't speak any English. What was even more infuriating was that she was taking a personal phone call during the whole incident. We eventually got the manager involved and retrieved all of our personal belongings, including the $80 box of pork buns that of course were not thrown away, as the cleaning lady was planning to keep them for herself. The manager apologized, but also brushed it off like it wasn't a big deal since we got all of our stuff back. Since when is it okay for the cleaning lady to barge into a guest's room and take all of their personal belongings before the guests check out?? Safe to say I will NEVER stay at this hotel the next time I'm visiting Seattle. read more

Complimentary coffee available 24 hours. Employees were all friendly and they took pride in keeping the place clean. Ask for a room with a view of the Space Needle. If there is time, make it to Pike's Plaza, but keep in mind they close rather early A plus--it is right across the street from a Walgreens Pharmacy--so you can buy the last minute things or bottles of wine to take with you on your Alaska Cruise. 3.5 ~ 4 Stars: Budget friendly hotel that came in the flight+hotel package I booked. The room was a good size with king sized bed and a view of Seattle's skyline (which is my favorite view). However the website may have been misleading as we thought we were going to have two king sized beds when it was really a king size bed and a pull out that would be equivalent to a king. We had called the front desk to inquire about it but they said they did not have any doubles in their hotel. The room had the basic necessities like a television and a mini refrigerator (without snacks so you can put your own items in). The hotel itself is within walking distance to the Space Needle and Chihuly Garden (about two blocks) but not too close to the spots we were heading out to. The hotel offers shuttles that can pick you up and drop you off to a few of the popular attractions within a 1 mile radius but you will have to make a reservation for it at least one hour in advanced but it is also not always guaranteed. We wanted to use a shuttle but they did not have a driver for those particular days that we were staying there. Breakfast Buffet: Seriously so good. Very rarely am I impressed by hotel breakfast/continental food, but it was the most convenient since we had very packed days and did not want to drive out to a restaurant, look + pay for parking, and wait for table. They do change menu items so it's not the same day to day. Parking: This was probably the my least favorite part of the hotel..$30/day for parking! Obviously, if you can avoid renting a car, then don't. Our stay wasn't awful. We only had a bad incident of the alarm going off at 1AM where we all had to shuffle down the stairs. We tried asking what was up but they all said "we don't really know, it could've been anything." mmkaaayyyy. read more

I had a very long relaxing week here in Seattle. Parking was convenient underground and the breakfast was perfect for my morning hikes into the mountains. The room smells so fresh and clean. I love the views of my room and it was a pleasant stay. Michelle helped me with my reservation upon check in and she was a pleasure to talk to. I apologize in advance I didn't take any pictures of the room or hotel. However highly recommended the staff of the hotel they are amazing! Specially BRENDA, she helped us checking and she went above and beyond to helped us, (we arrived super early and tired l, she made the exception and allowed us to check in early). Every one else were also very friendly and helpful, we truly enjoyed our stayed. The HYATT is clean , safe , they are following all the COVID-19 restrictions. Did I mentioned the staff were kind & friendly? The Hyatt offers breakfast for grab and go, they have a huge variety for the circumstances, they had sausage & egg muffins, or bagels, milk , almond milk, cereal, oatmeal, oj, apple juice, muffins, oranges, bananas, apples daily. During the day they have a coffee, hot chocolate, tea station for their guest included with your staycation. Safety it's so important in this building that you got to use your room card to access entrance every where, including the main entrance and elevator. The rooms are spacious, they have a couch and a Tv that rotates so you can see it from your bed or couch, it also has a desk & a fridge. Room service or housekeeping is per request. I highly recommend this location for a family or couples vacation, the location is nice is by the space needle & museums and a mile from the Public Market, and some good restaurants, you can also door dash food or ice cream. read more

Look, the Hyatt Place is a great hotel when it comes to comfort of beds, the friendly workers/front desk, the continental breakfast, etc. That stuff is great. It's the location..... This was my first trip to Seattle and it wasn't the best. I was put in a room looking down at the S-hell gas station. Every single night on my stay had "people" playing loud music or homeless screaming at 2AM waking me up every single time. I'm aware that this is a DOWNTOWN hotel and there is noise like traffic. BUT a freaking ghetto concert going down with subwoofers blasting my ears in the middle of night is not traffic. I tried calling the front desk to change rooms but they were booked for the entire weekend (Presidents day) and all They could supply me were ear plugs. PLEASE AVOID THIS HOTEL unless you get a room located on the other side opposite of the gas station. read more
