We had the king suite and had a very nice stay here. Upon arrival, the staff greeted the kiddos and pulled out a wagon filled with toys and let them choose, which was a nice touch. Staff was always attentive here from front desk, housekeeping, restaurant and etc. Apparently the suite gets the plushier towels too versus other rooms. Our suite was very clean and well stocked with bath amenities, coffee, tea, water and they even had baby toiletries laid out plus a cute blanket and crib. The private room was pretty sound proof when the door was closed which was important bc the baby slept in the room and slept very soundly. The indoor pool was another plus. It was a long lap pool with around 4 lanes and was 3.5 feet so perfect for the kiddos. It wasnt the warmest but the kids still had fun. We wanted a hotel near the mall and with a pool and it was between the Hyatt and Westin. We had the breakfast package at Equis. It was buffet style but the service was amazing. Someone came to ask if we needed refills for our drinks probably 5 or 6 times. The buffet items was American and was very fresh. You could order other items if you wanted as they had a full kitchen. Lastly shoutout to housekeeping. She was a sweet Chinese lady who picked up a shirt we must've dropped on our way to the elevators. She was always very helpful with things we needed for the room. Extra surprise on the 8th floor for daily snacks and coffee. The only con for me is my shower does not have a door and trying to minimize water spray is impossible. Fun fact; 4 Hyatt properties sit on a corner of Downtown Seattle; Hyatt, Hyatt @ Olive 8, Grand Hyatt, and Hyatt Regency. Four distinctly different hotels, catering to different clientele. This Hyatt Regency is a high rise with over 40 stories, and is more for the business traveler. While there is an atrium like space just above the Front Desk area; the open space of the lobby provides a lofty and airy feel. Modern pipe like chandelier flanks across the lobby area. Visit the 5th floor, where the marketplace is, and you'll see the atrium like space just against the elevator banks covered a crystal like sheer screen. Proximity: about 30 minutes from SEA by car, and 45-50 minutes by public transit. 10 minutes by foot to Pikes Place and the surrounding downtown area. 10-15 minutes by car to The Space Needle, Chihuly Gardens & Glass, and the Cruise Ship Terminal. The Welcome: Seattle-ian's are very laid back, casual, and friendly. The experience one would expect at the Front Desk, should be pleasant. My experience was that the agent provided a very welcoming and sincere service. I stayed with a category 1-4 free night certificate for 1 night prior to boarding my Alaskan cruise the following day. As a World of Hyatt Discoverist, I was provided an upgraded to a higher floor room and a 2PM late check out. The Room: the rooms felt spacious, airy, and minimally modern. The classic Hyatt Regency decorum is that of light hardwoods, grey fabrications, and crisp white linens. The bathe amenities smell like that of a spa and nourishing to the skin. Seattle is small city, and so the view from my 36th floor room pretty much viewed all of Seattle but nonetheless beautiful. Food & Beverage: - The Market: grab and go for beverages, soup, sandwiches, salads, and snacks. - Andare: main restaurant with buffet breakfast, lunch, and dinner. - Daniel's Broiler: steak house restaurant Would definitely stay here again in the future. read more

This hotel is located steps away from the convention center which makes it a great place to stay for an event. The only downside to our stay was that they don't have valet and the self parking garage is open to the public. The hotel itself was really nice. It was updated and so was our room. The lobby staff were all very helpful and very quick to respond to any of our questions and needs. We were even able to get some of the housekeeping staff to chat with us. Everything in the room was great. I don't usually say this about hotel beds but it was sooooo comfortable! It was like sleeping on a cloud. There's no waterbottle fill stations except for in the lobby near the restrooms. I think this is a missed opportunity. Adding some to other floors will add convenience for the guests. This place was fantastic. I was a little skeptical at first due to the location and having to pay for daily parking but... this is the place to stay at when traveling to Seattle. The moment I arrived, the staff was extremely helpful and welcoming. They have a desk dedicated for tours information and city-passes. Everything is within walking distance. I mean everything! The convention center, the mall, restaurants, Pike place, the waterfront, museums, the aquarium etc. It is extremely convenient. Despite the little rain, I got myself an umbrella and walked everywhere I needed to. The rooms are super spacious, clean and comfortable. I slept amazingly. No noise from the outside at all. The views are fantastic as well. You have your typical, coffee area, TV, fridge, no microwave. The shower was ok but somehow there is not a full door to close so half the shower is open and the floor gets a little wet because obviously the water gets out from the shower onto the restroom floor area. This place has it all business rooms, lounge area, on-site restaurants, on-site bar, mini store with coffee options, etc. and the walk to Pike place was like 15mins max. Parking is a full day so, I checked out at 11am and walked over to enjoy Pike place without having to move my car. I put my luggage in the car but you can also leave it at front and they'll watch it for you too. I to totally recommend this place. read more

One of my friends invited me to Seattle to celebrate his birthday with him back in July 2025. We stayed at this property, and I was immediately impressed by the service, amenities, and incredible views from our hotel room. The hotel's Denny Triangle location was also great for exploring the city. The area is walkable. I could easily access nearby neighborhoods and attractions such as Capitol Hill and Pike Place Market, and I felt safe walking around and exploring during both day and night. On several occasions, my friend and I also got food and drinks on the property with his colleagues since his birthday overlapped with a work trip to Seattle. The restaurants and bar spaces we visited were all comfortable and well-appointed. My personal favorite was the restaurant/bar on the second floor that had the feel of a laidback whiskey lounge. It was spacious and offered enough privacy for my friend and his colleagues to have their daily debriefs and strategy sessions there. Overall, I truly enjoyed my stay at the Hyatt Regency Seattle, and I would recommend the property to others seeking a modern hotel with excellent amenities. read more

This was a beautiful hotel in a prime location downtown. I didnt drive or have a car while staying here but each morning, both Uber and Lyft would arrive within 1-2 minutes. We ate dinner our first night here and although there weren't a ton of options it was pretty decent. The rooms were clean but I dont think maid service comes daily because I was here 2 nights and they didnt come, but I also did not need them. My biggest complaint is that I personally would prefer a tub and there was only a shower. Check in was pretty empty and easy, but I think I was supposed to officially "check out" but didnt because I left for my meeting and took my bags and went straight to the train from there. So I never got my check out receipt which I would've assumed would've been sent an email. So now I need to call them or ask about it when I go back this week to make sure I get it for my expense report for work. read more

This is our go to Hotel for the past 4 years. We have been coming here about 2x a year . It is a hit and miss with the friendliness and hospitality of the front desk agents. I would say about 50% of the time we met awesome agents and the other 50% we got agents that didn't smile or greet us and were not friendly at all. The rooms are always clean and roomy. We always get a corner 2 queen room. The extra space really helps. Beds are comfortable. Having the rental car company in the hotel is also very convenient!!!! read more

We loved our stay here for a few nights for a convention for our son. They gave us a room with the beautiful water view (west facing), and my parents got a north facing room that was perfect to watch fireworks at Lake Union from for my little nieces on July 4th. The rooms and entire facility/building was modern and clean, and the staff were all welcoming and quick to respond to us. Location-wise, it was an easy two block walk to the convention center. It was also about a 15 minute walk to Pike Place; and a 20 minute walk to Lake Union for fireworks. We found it to be well located and safe. read more

The gym was also a good size and had machines and also open spaces to work out. Our party had two different rooms - one with a shower and the other with a tub. I have my own opinions of this hotel, but first, my five-year-old Leo B.'s review. After checking in and seeing our room on the 45th floor, he declared with the confidence of a seasoned traveler, "This is my favorite Hyatt Regency." In all fairness, he has stayed in four Hyatt Regencies in the last ten months, and this one was probably the nicest. It was, at least, the newest and tallest, apparently the largest hotel in Seattle, with 1,260 rooms across 45 stories. My mom is a Globalist, which is how our family got four rooms on the top floor, and he told a lot of people in the elevators that we were all the way on 45. The hotel was conveniently located in downtown Seattle, a short walk from both the train station and the monorail. We were able to take the train in from the airport and used public transit throughout our trip. We also took advantage of the many bars and restaurants within walking distance. The lobby was nice, with high ceilings and a comfortable lounging area, where my children made friends with strangers while we waited for my mom to check us all in. There was a restaurant on the ground floor where we took our breakfast every morning, and this was a pleasant enough space, if not an outstanding restaurant. Our room was clean and pretty with a fantastic view. We had two queen beds and got a crib sent up for our two-year-old. Best of all, we were within baby monitor distance of my parents' suite, which meant we could go out after the kids went to sleep. It was a great suite, too, with a spacious living area. Our kids definitely requested to stay in their grandparents' room instead of ours, and we did use it to give them a tub bath. This was a fun trip and the Hyatt Regency provided an easy, comfortable home base for our busy long weekend. I'd recommend it if you're looking for a central place to stay in Seattle. read more

A colleague of mine got the view of the Seattle Great Wheel! The beds were on the softer side (1 star off), but still comfortable. The bathroom was spacious. I stayed here for a conference at the Seattle Convention Center and it was a convenient 5 minute walk away. It was also a convenient 15 minute walk to Pike's Place Market. I stayed at this hotel because I was attending a convention at the Summit convention center across the street. It was a very convenient location for that. I was pleasantly surprised by how quiet the rooms were. We were right near the elevator and heard nothing. The only downside was the room was a little bit smaller - but I think that might be a feature of downtown Seattle, where space is at a premium. The room was very modern, plenty of outlets, everything worked fine. We got breakfast a few times at the cafe at the second floor, and it was good. I would definitely stay here again, especially if I was going to a convention nearby! read more

I have to say, I was impressed by this hotel. It was pricey, yes, but offered an easy walk to the light rail station at Westlake, the convention center, and Pike Place Market. The staff in the lobby kept a close eye on everything and greeted me when I came and went. Really, the first impression was very strong. I had an early flight and dropped by the hotel at 10:30 to do an early check-in. I was told I would get a text when my room was available; the usual time for rooms to become available was 4pm. To my exhausted relief, the text came at 11:50am! I walked over immediately and was able to take a nap in my room, which enabled me to do tourist things and enjoy my conference that evening without being a total zombie. The whole room was comfortable. I loved the bed and pillows. The room included a mini fridge (note: no freezer section), a coffee pot I didn't use, and a nice desk area and chaise. The bathroom wasn't as claustrophobic as many hotels, and had pump units installed on the shower wall for shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. The shower itself was easy to use and heated water fast. The hair dryer was in a box below the bathroom counter and worked just fine. The elevators were very fast and all of them functioned, but be aware that certain floors are accessed by different banks of elevators. A room key is necessary to go up in the elevator. My room was on the 9th floor. I can be very sensitive to noises in a strange place but I didn't hear much from the street, corridor, or from above. Checkout only took a couple minutes, and it was a breezy walk to Westlake to get to the airport! read more

The HRS is an outstanding hotel located right in downtown Seattle. It is easy to get to on mass transit from the airport and is walkable to many downtown attractions like Pike's Place Market and fine dining. The hotel is fresh and spotlessly clean. It think it had a recent guest room refresh. Our room was comfortable, clean and well appointed. The view was spectacular. The large fitness center is well equipt your workout, clean and all the machines are kept in good repair. They have a recumbent bike too. On checkin we were helped by Benjamin. He was warm, welcoming and helpful. He found us a nice room right away despite our early arrival. Also Paulina in the Andare restaurant was cheerful and friendly. She was knowledgeable about the menu and made excellent suggestions. Also the breakfast at Andare was excellent. It is outstanding people like Benjamin and Paulina that convince me of the value of Globalist status with Hyatt. Note for Globalists, as of this review the Regency club at this property is open but self serving only coffee, bottled drinks and light snacks. Breakfast is an impressive buffet at Andare. This property is AMAZING! Probably one of the best hotel stays I've ever had and definitely the best VIEW!!! Everything about this Hyatt was wonderful. This property far exceeded any expectations I had (in every way). Its not only beautiful, but very clean, very comfortable, I felt very safe (as a solo traveler), the location was perfect, it was easy to get around, park etc... There was plenty of shopping and restaurants in the immediate area and also the light rail was just a few blocks away. The hotel was about a 1/2 mile from the touristy Pike Place Market, but its definitely walkable (a slight incline on the way back though), but if you prefer not to walk, its a short drive with easy parking in one of the many parking structures. The distance was not bothersome at all, I would pick staying at this hotel over one closer EVERY time. The front desk staff was amazing, so friendly and helpful and seemed so happy to be there! Even the parking/security guy with ACE was so sweet and helpful. And speaking of their employees... Hyatt employs what they call a Guest Experience Specialist. I received an email the Sunday prior to my arrival with the subject line of "Looking Forward to Welcoming you to Hyatt Regency Seattle" and it was signed by "Bethany, Guest Experience Specialist" I assumed it was an automated "form letter" type email, but I went ahead and responded anyway. I loved the thought of (pre-arrival) correspondence, and also loved the title of "Guest Experience Specialist", that is without a doubt a position that EVERY business should employ! That simple email told me all I needed to know. The Hyatt cares about the guest experience so much that they employ an individual specifically to make sure the guest experience is great! Never did I think anyone would respond... but they did.. her name was Bethany and she was delightful! I could hear the happiness through her email and knew that she loved her job before she even told me she loved her job! Hyatt is doing it right and I will surely start looking for Hyatt properties when I travel in the future. I have been an "Honors" member for over 30 years with another hotel chain, but recently the standard just didn't seem to exist any longer... so thanks to Hyatt for reaffirming the standard still DOES exist! read more

The Hyatt Regency is located in the beautiful downtown neighborhood, just three blocks from the Westlake station on the Light Rail and among many bus routes from transit travelers like us coming from the airport. The amenities, including its gym, ballrooms, conference spaces, etc. were also top-notch and accessible during our whole stay. We stayed in a two Queen Bed room, and were pleased with the view overlooking Olive Way and the cleanliness of our space. There was plenty of bathroom counter space for all of our needs, many hangers and storage spaces, and also a mini-fridge, convenient safe for locking goods, ironing board, and working desk. Our stay was for two nights, and the location and service were both superb! They allowed for easy late-night check-in (due to our flight arrival time), as well as luggage storage after we checked out. There's also a market and steakhouse on the second floor that is easily available for food and beverage everyday. You receive complementary two water bottles, which is also a nice touch. The only drawbacks were that the microwave was in a fairly hidden location behind the second-floor market, and that there was no easy water refill station (you have to enter the eighth-floor gym), and without a filtered bottle refill spot either. read more

Rooms are modern and fresh. Our room had a fridge, coffee and tea maker. I also loved the lights near the floor which lights up when you need to get up in the night to use the restrooms. The hotel was airy and spacious, with a huge painting and lovely shimmering light fixtures on the ceiling. They have restaurants and a small store for essentials up the escalators and a beautiful comfy seating area in the foyer. Disrespectful staff front door staff. I walked in the door with my luggage and, and instead of asking me if I needed help with my bags, the security guard stopped me and asked me to show him my ID. I told him I did not understand, and he again said he needed to see my ID, and he made a gesture with the thumb and forefinger of his right hand to mimic showing someone an ID card. I asked him if he asked everyone for their ID or if there was something specific about me that prompted him to ask me. He then said it was a joke. I told him he should not joke like that, and that it was not funny. What kind of hotel would stop a business traveler at the door before allowing them to check in? Why would a security guard think he has the authority to do this? I spoke with the Front Desk manager and Hyatt's area Director of Security, but neither could explain why hotel staff would disrespect me like this nor did they do anything about it. Clearly the guard evaluated my appearance and decided there was something about me he didn't like. He needs better training and supervision. The management team here has clearly failed - or else they support what this security guard is doing. Maybe they told him to ask people for ID at the door to cut down on the riff-raff (including Hyatt loyalty program members with platinum American Express cards)? Don't visit unless you want to be insulted by a low level employee who tries to tell you it was a joke. read more

This hotel is great and all but it's very loud at night all the neighbors start getting drunk and aggressively stomp all over the hotel and there is a metro running 24 hours and cars and they cannot help you fall asleep at all and one of my towels came brown like a brown stain on the towel which is gross. They also took 30 minutes to check me in which is so time consuming cause I have places I scheduled to be at. Do not recommend whats so ever. I would give a 1 star but the room was good so I was being nice. 2 STARS NOT RECOMMEND! read more

I recently had the opportunity to spend a few nights in Seattle at the Hyatt Regency and I have to say, the experience was flawless! This is a beautiful, upscale hotel located right in the heart of downtown. It was walking distance to everything (including a nearby event I was attending), and our views (from the 44th floor) were breathtaking! Every staff member we encountered was pleasant and helpful, and even though there were a couple of large conventions going on the time, the hotel didn't seem crowded or busy at all. Our room was super comfortable, with a crispy king bed, large bathroom, and all the amenities (including a sizable mini fridge and coffee machine). There was also a small desk and sitting area right next to the window, which were great places to hang out and enjoy the view. We could see as far as the Issaquah Highlands from our room! The underground parking garage, while very tight (as most Seattle garages are), felt safe and secure. And the neighborhood was very walkable and there were several good restaurants and cafe nearby. While I don't often have the need for a hotel room in downtown Seattle, if and when I do I'll definitely return to the Hyatt Regency. read more

We have seen everything, we have stayed at every type of hotel, we have had every type of experience, etc. We stayed at the downtown Seattle Hyatt Regency at 808 HOWELL Street and it was the finest experience we have had. Everything appeared new, the view was amazing, the executive suite was as good as any we have ever seen, it was quiet, it was modern, the staff were amazingly helpful (although we don't need a lot of help), the café in the lobby always had hot coffee, always greeted us well, had fair priced meals and snacks, etc., etc., etc. It's like they thought of everything. An amazing stay, thank you very much! There's no place like home, but we are looking forward to returning very soon. read more

Cons: 1) I did not feel welcome at check-in or the next morning when I went upstairs to what appeared to be a convention level. The woman working the convention level kicked us out. Why don't you put a sign up at the escalators saying that is for an event then? 2) It is a little expensive too but par for the course in Seattle. read more

Overall, it was a good stay--great location, close to everything in downtown Seattle. However, I was pretty disappointed to find a used underwear left in my room from what I assume was the previous guest. I called the front desk, and to their credit, they responded quickly and offered either a room change or a thorough sanitary clean. While I appreciated the prompt response, it was still a surprising and unfortunate experience. That said, the rest of the stay was comfortable, and the hotel itself is nice and modern. read more

First impressions are how busy this hotel is. Valet parking is available, but parked in the underground garage. I came early for a week long conference. At 7:30 am, parking is difficult to find. Choose to go to the lower levels, where parking could be randomly found after hunting for a while. One takes the elevator to the main floor and then transfers to the meeting floors. This is a big hotel, with many meeting rooms. On arrival to your floor, you are greeted with breakfast. Some great fruit, juice, coffee and pastries. Loved this. There was an attendant assigned to clear your eating area and bring a variety of beverages and ice. They provided gluten free and vegan options. Lunch consisted of a really good Cobb salad, sandwiches, potato chips and cookies. The Cobb salad had a hearty amount of chicken, cheese, avocado, bacon and cherry tomatoes, with a tangy dressing. There were turkey, roast beef and tofu sandwiches. My colleagues were a hungry bunch and cleared out the food quickly. A midafternoon snack of chips, beverages and fruit was offered. Our group was listening to technical lectures. I believe they kept the conference room somewhat below temperature, to keep us from possibly falling asleep.
