Water view from the 36th floor

This hotel is located steps away from the convention center which makes it a great place to stay for an event. The only downside to our stay was that they don't have valet and the self parking garage is open to the public. The hotel itself was really nice. It was updated and so was our room. The lobby staff were all very helpful and very quick to respond to any of our questions and needs. We were even able to get some of the housekeeping staff to chat with us. Everything in the room was great. I don't usually say this about hotel beds but it was sooooo comfortable! It was like sleeping on a cloud. There's no waterbottle fill stations except for in the lobby near the restrooms. I think this is a missed opportunity. Adding some to other floors will add convenience for the guests. Our stay was fantastic and we will definitely stay again.

This place was fantastic. I was a little skeptical at first due to the location and having to pay for daily parking but... this is the place to stay at when traveling to Seattle. The moment I arrived, the staff was extremely helpful and welcoming. They have a desk dedicated for tours information and city-passes. Everything is within walking distance. I mean everything! The convention center, the mall, restaurants, Pike place, the waterfront, museums, the aquarium etc. It is extremely convenient. Despite the little rain, I got myself an umbrella and walked everywhere I needed to. The rooms are super spacious, clean and comfortable. I slept amazingly. No noise from the outside at all. The views are fantastic as well. You have your typical, coffee area, TV, fridge, no microwave. The shower was ok but somehow there is not a full door to close so half the shower is open and the floor gets a little wet because obviously the water gets out from the shower onto the restroom floor area. This place has it all business rooms, lounge area, on-site restaurants, on-site bar, mini store with coffee options, etc. and the walk to Pike place was like 15mins max. Parking is a full day so, I checked out at 11am and walked over to enjoy Pike place without having to move my car. I put my luggage in the car but you can also leave it at front and they'll watch it for you too. I to totally recommend this place.

My husband selected Hyatt Regency - Seattle for our family Feb staycation. The room was extremely accommodating and spacious for our three busy and excited children. Every hotel staff we had the opportunity to engage with were all very courteous and kind. The room yielded amazing views, wonderful features, and was extremely clean. I definitely recommend selecting Hyatt Regency Seattle when planning your trip or staycation in Seattle.

One of my friends invited me to Seattle to celebrate his birthday with him back in July 2025. We stayed at this property, and I was immediately impressed by the service, amenities, and incredible views from our hotel room. The hotel's Denny Triangle location was also great for exploring the city. The area is walkable. I could easily access nearby neighborhoods and attractions such as Capitol Hill and Pike Place Market, and I felt safe walking around and exploring during both day and night. On several occasions, my friend and I also got food and drinks on the property with his colleagues since his birthday overlapped with a work trip to Seattle. The restaurants and bar spaces we visited were all comfortable and well-appointed. My personal favorite was the restaurant/bar on the second floor that had the feel of a laidback whiskey lounge. It was spacious and offered enough privacy for my friend and his colleagues to have their daily debriefs and strategy sessions there. Overall, I truly enjoyed my stay at the Hyatt Regency Seattle, and I would recommend the property to others seeking a modern hotel with excellent amenities.

This was a beautiful hotel in a prime location downtown. I didnt drive or have a car while staying here but each morning, both Uber and Lyft would arrive within 1-2 minutes. We ate dinner our first night here and although there weren't a ton of options it was pretty decent. The rooms were clean but I dont think maid service comes daily because I was here 2 nights and they didnt come, but I also did not need them. My biggest complaint is that I personally would prefer a tub and there was only a shower. Check in was pretty empty and easy, but I think I was supposed to officially "check out" but didnt because I left for my meeting and took my bags and went straight to the train from there. So I never got my check out receipt which I would've assumed would've been sent an email. So now I need to call them or ask about it when I go back this week to make sure I get it for my expense report for work.

We loved our stay here for a few nights for a convention for our son. They gave us a room with the beautiful water view (west facing), and my parents got a north facing room that was perfect to watch fireworks at Lake Union from for my little nieces on July 4th. The rooms and entire facility/building was modern and clean, and the staff were all welcoming and quick to respond to us. Location-wise, it was an easy two block walk to the convention center. It was also about a 15 minute walk to Pike Place; and a 20 minute walk to Lake Union for fireworks. We found it to be well located and safe.

Beautiful hotel in downtown Seattle. Big with a lot of amenities - gym, bar, restaurant, etc. the hotel and rooms and nicely decorated. Modern and contemporary. One of our rooms had a shower and the other had a tub. Make a requesting you need something specific. They have very nice gym, which we don't use but checked out. Walking distance to Pikes Place Market and Starbucks Reserve is about 10 minutes depending on your walking pace. Good location if you plan to sight see downtown Seattle.

Great location and I love the workout room--it's large with so many windows so the sunlight slash light are so nice. Also the Peloton bikes!! The bar and restaurant are also very nice. It's walkable to downtown and some nice restaurants, coffee shops, and stores, and public transit and lots of Ubers are out-and-about. Service is nice! I forgot my toothbrush and toothpaste and they brought up the nice mini tube.

Great location and nice rooms. Tower hotel with a couple restaurants at the bottom of it plus a small lobby bar. Good for business or casual travel. Good location to get to everything and a short 15 min walk to pikes place

Really nice hotel that's within walking distance to Pikes and the Starbucks reserve (though different directions). The decor is really nice with modern accents but it feels comfortable, too. There's a floor that has a really nice "market" where you can buy food, snacks, coffee, etc. There was also comfy seating, places to hang out, and a steakhouse towards the back. The gym was also a good size and had machines and also open spaces to work out. Our party had two different rooms - one with a shower and the other with a tub. Both had window nooks/ledges where you could sit and enjoy the view. It's also close enough to walk to other good eateries.

I was very impressed with this hotel. The service was excellent, the hotel is really well managed and the location is excellent. There is an expansive gym and good food options on property and nearby. The decor is modern and airy and the views are amazing.

Hyesung was awesome! Thank you for your help!! We were there for Freya Skye and he helped more than he needed to!! Thanks again!! Only weird thing for me is the fact that there aren't any fans in the restroom.

    Ally W.

The hotel is modern and clean. The front desk is well-staffed and efficient. I was given a room on the 43rd floor and it was quiet with a good view. A colleague of mine got the view of the Seattle Great Wheel! The beds were on the softer side (1 star off), but still comfortable. The bathroom was spacious. I stayed here for a conference at the Seattle Convention Center and it was a convenient 5 minute walk away. It was also a convenient 15 minute walk to Pike's Place Market. It is situated in a good location for walking around...as long as the weather is nice, that is.

    Is there free breakfast?

No there isn't. They do have a restaurant on-site though.

Is this hotel family/kid friendly? Any concerns in location and what would you say is main difference with this location and Hyatt grand?

Is Regency club open? What are hours and what is fee (family of 4)? Thank you!

I really want a room with a shower and a seperate soaking tub, what type of room offers this?

    One of their suites

Is there a restaurant on property?

    Yes there is.

What time does the gym open and close?

I'm not sure of the time but you will need to sign a waiver and sign-up for a time to go to the gym.

If you rent a car, is there parking?

There is on-site valet parking and self-parking. There's also overnight parking across the street that's slightly cheaper.

How much is the regency club fee?

Is there parking at the Hyatt?

I don't think they have a parking lot. There are other public parking garages nearby.

There's only a small area for parking in front of the hotel and it's also the spot for Valet. You'll likely have to post up in the travel lane to check in or drop off your car. The hotel has some unique amenities but I wasn't able to use them for such a short stay. The King corner room far exceeded my expectations. It's spacious and felt pretty luxurious. The star of the room is the soaking tub. It's deep and the water is hot. I especially liked that there's a separate shower. The workspace is nice and there are plenty of plugs for everything. The Nespresso comes stocked and is free to use. The mini bar, not so much, and it's pretty pricy. The bed. THE BED! If I could have brought it home with me I would have. It's lush and it smelled good. Like fresh dryer sheets good. I don't think I've ever said that about a hotel bed before. If you need a firm bed you won't like this one. I didn't have much interaction with the staff but when I did it was pleasant. I am definitely staying here again.

The staff was friendly, but not exceptional. Rooms are clean, and comfortable, but for the room night cost, I've had much better experiences for the same money. One stand out is the gentleman at Rosebay craft cocktails serving wine at the 3 o'clock hour. He was exceptional.

I had a great stay at The Sound Hotel Seattle Belltown and would definitely consider staying here…read moreagain. I booked it partly because it's part of Hilton's Tapestry Collection, so I could earn and redeem Hilton Honors points. That was a huge plus since I was visiting during the World Cup and hotel prices were absolutely wild: close to $800 a night if I had paid out of pocket! The service was excellent from the moment we arrived. There was a bellman opening the door, everyone we interacted with was friendly and accommodating, and it was always easy to grab an Uber right outside the hotel. One feature I really liked was the little pantry in the lobby. It's basically a self-service convenience store stocked with local candy, snacks, wine, beer, and other treats. You scan everything yourself and can charge it directly to your room, which was super convenient. We used our HHonors stay credit to buy a small bottle of Washington State wine and some local chocolates. The hotel has a really fun music theme throughout, and the design is modern with a Scandinavian-inspired feel. As a Gen Xer, I thought the vibe was just plain cool without trying too hard. Our standard King room had huge windows, a spacious sitting area, and clean, minimalist European-style décor that felt fresh and comfortable. The hotel itself was also surprisingly quiet despite being located in an urban area, so we slept really well. The only disappointment was our view. It wasn't much to look at. I was secretly hoping for an upgrade, but no luck. Not a deal breaker, just a minor letdown considering one side of the hotel affords perfect views of the Space Needle. The location is excellent for sightseeing on foot. We walked to Pike Place Market in about 10 minutes, and the Space Needle was also around a 10 minute walk in the opposite direction. Just be prepared for Seattle's hills! They're no joke, and you'll be going up and down some very, very steep streets to get to the waterfront. There are also plenty of great restaurants, bars, shops, and coffee shops within easy walking distance. One thing I'd mention is that while we felt comfortable during the day, after dinner around 10:45 p.m. we decided to take an Uber back from the Pike Place Market area instead of walking back to the hotel because parts of the area felt a little sketchy at night. Seattle has a very serious problem with drug users and unhoused folks, and they can get a little scary. I feel so badly for them, but I also felt a lot safer in an Uber than trying to walk back in the downtown area that late at night. The Sound is a stylish, comfortable hotel with excellent service, a great location, and a fun personality. If you're a Hilton Honors member, it's an especially solid choice when Seattle hotel prices are high.

The front desk had a room available for me a little earlier than normal check-in and had wonderful suggestions for a little snack around the hotel. The room is much more spacious than pictures can show. I really enjoyed the two separate seating areas. The window area settee was the perfect place for a snack and using my laptop to prepare for the next day. The closet has more than just two hangers, which I appreciated being able to hang the clothes that needed to be hung and steamed later. The bed was soft, but not overly so and the charging options on the nightstand helped me keep some of my electronics packed and neat. Being in Downtown Seattle, I really didn't feel like I needed a car. The Sound is situated in a great place to just walk where I needed to go. Less than five minutes away from Westlake where I could catch either the monorail or Link, was very convenient for me. I enjoy walking around to get familiar with the area I'm in and there was so much to see!!! I will be back to The Sound for my next Seattle adventure!

Our last two nights of our journey were spent in Seattle at the Shafer Baillie mansion. I would highly recommend staying here. The location was great for getting to downtown and all around. It is close to the Cap Hill neighborhood with shops and restaurants. There is plenty of street parking in the vicinity. The mansion itself is part of what was known as Millionaire's Row. It was built in 1914 and has been well cared for over the years. When we came back from one evening out, we all gathered in the Library and set up some charcuterie and wine to share from our travels. It was so cozy sitting all together and chatting about our adventures. The rooms are historic with modern conveniences. Our room was the Queen Ann Hill. We slept soundly in our comfortable 4 poster bed. There was a helpful step stool for me to climb up as I am vertically challenged. It has original pushbotton light switches. It had a beautiful full length mirror. There was a flatscreen TV, but we had so many wonderful activities we did not use it. The bathroom was updated but still fit with the historic look. There were two showerheads in the tiled shower. Breakfast was lovely. I, personally, have a great deal of food allergies. There was ample selection that I was able to enjoy just as much as anyone else. There were breads and pastries, jams and spreads, yogurt and fresh berries, and a hot breakfast dish. Hard boiled eggs were available as well as cheeses and meats. There was a coffee bar that was available all day that also had tea and cocoa. We sat at the long dining table enjoying each others company and conversation. We got to meet some of the other guests which added to the experience. The temperature controls worked great, the bed was very comfortable and had an adequate number of pillows, the bathroom was well-appointed, and everything was very clean. The bath towels were large, soft, and plush. The frosted door to the water closet was a nice touch for the sake of privacy if you were sharing the space with someone. The shower was not huge but it was more than adequately spacious for me. There were 2 robes hung in the bathroom (though I didn't use them). The small table and chairs near the window were convenient and comfortable to work from. The view from my room was very nice, especially during clear days when you can see the water and the mountains in the distance. The room was always well maintained after the typical morning cleaning as well as during turn down service. I appreciated the staff placing slippers by the bed and how they always nicely arranged my toiletries in the bathroom, replaced used towels with fresh ones, and even placed things on the table in the bedroom (like my charger, earbud case, eyeglass case, and so on) neatly for when I returned. The bar area at the back of the restaurant was a nice little area and had a table large enough for our group of around 8-10 to comfortably sit at while enjoying a nightcap. My breakfast the day I checked out was also high quality and my server Nathan was pleasant, timely, and honest about prep time of some items I wanted to order but was constricted due to a time crunch. In general, every staff member I encountered was pleasant, eager to help, and always smiled and made eye contact when speaking with me. All in all, I had a wonderful experience and have no complaints. This property is one of the top 2-3 Four Seasons hotels I have stayed at over the past several years.
