My furnace stopped working about 7:00 at night. I called Mowery. Within minutes, Greg called me back to ask how he could help. He was at my house in less than an hour to diagnose the problem. He was friendly and professional. Our furnace had been making some horrible sounds and is several years old so it was no surprise to hear that the motor had gone out. He gave us several options. We decided to wait until morning to do anything. Jay came out the next day to go over the options again. Instead of just replacing the motor on an old furnace, we opted to replace the entire unit. I never felt any pressure to make that decision. Jay was friendly and professional, just like Greg the night before. The next day when Ralph and Nick came to do the installation, they were prompt and friendly. They were sure to lay down protective material so as not to damage our hardwood floors. They were careful as they took the new unit down and brought the old unit up. Not a scratch or ding on any wall. They, too, were as friendly and professional as you could ever ask for. Overall I couldn't be any happier. No one wants to replace a furnace but if you have to, I recommend Mowery. read more

I've been using Mowery for over 15 years and am on their service plan . Just had the hard choice of having to have my furnace and ac replaced on my old house, I must say they are not the cheapest and they are not the most expensive but you do get what you pay for my installation of my lenox furnace and ac unit was flawless. no mess left behind the install was all Tidy and professional, the guys even took the time to explain to me what they were doing and why it had to be done. What a GREAT bunch of staff at Mowery. The hardest part was sitting down with the sales person giving me the estimates and deciding which system I wanted to go with, There were Absolutely no pressures from him to buy any model in any price range he told me what my house needed then showed me all the units and explained in detail what each one would do and their price and left the decision up to me. All the other company's I talked to tried to pressure me into the most expensive model and wanted to add all options saying I had to have them. I would highly recommend this company. And after using them all this time I can tell you they do stand behind their work. read more

I cannot say enough Great things about this company! They are truly AMAZING!!! What a fabulous company, that genuinely cares about their customers. When our "issue" wasn't fixed with the first attempt they did not quit. They continued to troubleshoot until the issue was resolved. Most certainly, they could have charged us an arm and a leg for the resources that were utilized during our "repair". AND THEY DID NOT! Mowery had three different employee out, on two different occasions. I KNOW for a FACT, that more than 12 "man hours" were utilized over the last two days. It just amazes me how honest and dedicated they were to helping us. And our bill was MORE THAN FAIR!!! I am just blown away by how great we were treated and I really appreciate this company. I also want to thank the three gentleman that helped us over the last two days. All of you are incredible and the owners should feel honored that you are part of their team!! It feel so good to know, that there are good companies still out here doing honest and proficient work!! I will recommend you guys to everyone!!!!!!!! And I MEAN THAT!! read more

As with anything, we got a few quotes for our needed work. Not to compare that aspect, but the quotes were thousands of dollars apart. Yes, thousands! At any rate, they were smooth and friendly over the phone and came out quickly. They assessed the situation and calmed us down with regard to the previous pricing we were quoted. After getting to work they had a pretty major piece of equipment go down. They communicated with us in full and let us know that they would be back tomorrow morning. This was all good. Then they showed up just about an hour later saying that they were able to fix it on their own and really wanted to get this job done. 30 minutes later... Everything was done. Even then we were kind of in a hurry to get to a sporting event for our son and Tyler said, please go ahead, I'll call you for payment if that is OK. He did just that and we could not be in a better mood about everything. Tyler and his partner were terrific. I'm embarrassed that I do not remember both names. Mowery will be our plumber of choice going forward. read more

We woke up yesterday to both of our toilets being clogged. We have never used Mowery before but we were in a pinch and we knew their office was nearby, so we gave them a call. Harry gave me a call when he was on his way and was here a short time later. We explained to him what the problem was, and he knew right away what it was. However, because half of my house is an addition, the sewer system is apparently a nightmare. But Harry kept working diligently to get us cleared. While he was working on it, Rob and Devin showed up to help get us going. The three of them were very personable, knowledgeable, and worked very well together to get our problem fixed. They tried everything they could to get us going but it was getting late so we called it a night. Rob kept reassuring us that they would get it fixed without breaking us. The three of them showed back up in the morning and started right back to work. A short while later, THEY GOT IT!!! The price was minimal and the service was nothing short of amazing. The ladies that work in the office...excellent. Dave and Jeff S have both been to our house. We bought a very expensive Lennox air which was an upgrade (we had builder grade air which worked until it couldn't keep up - too small for our house). When you upgrade air you need to upgrade furnace which we did with Mowery 2017. The Lennox air has needed repaired twice. At first I was really irritated that we paid that much and already twice needed expensive repairs (under warranty but we have to pay for the service). Jeff S came today and asked about power surges and I said I didn't think so but he explained that would cause the issues. My daughter has a great friend who lives in MS that owns Heating and Plumbing and first thing she confirmed was that Mowery was being very honest even though my daughter didn't even tell her what they had said. She confirmed what we needed. Thank you Mowery for being so great to deal with and for being honest. We are having surge protectors added to air and furnace. read more

Very satisfied with the service and work done by Mowery. I had been referred to Mowery for the value and quality of their work. We had a furnace that just wasn't doing the job. The service man that inspected the system was able to show me the problems and explain their effect on our heating and cooling systems. A written quote for repair of the system was provided but I wanted to look at a more efficient replacement. The various levels of efficiency for replacement systems was explained and I was promptly provided a written quote. The installers arrive on schedule, were professional, courteous, and through. The installation was completed on time. The lead installer made sure that I understood how to operate the thermostat and the operation of the furnace and heat pump. The crew made sure they always wore booties every time they had to come into the living area and completely cleaned the area of the installation. I have and will recommend Mowery to my friends and neighbors. read more

I was needing a replacement vent free gas fireplace because my old one was very old and could no longer be repaired. I called Mowery and they scheduled an appt. for me a couple days later for someone to come out and evaluate it. Don Gaddis arrived on time and was very nice and very helpful. Don recommended that i have fireplace insert replaced and called another person to come out and discuss options. Giss Sawyer arrived less than 2 hours later on the same day and showed me different options for a new fireplace. I really enjoyed talking with Giss because he did not talk down to me and answered all of my questions and concerns. Very personable and knowledgeable. My first time experience with Mowery has been very eye awakening and very pleasant from Katrina on the phone to everyone that came to my home ! Will recommend and definitely use this company again ! After a poor experience with Service Plus Heating and Cooling, we called Mowery Heating and Cooling and had a very positive experience. They were professional, knowledgeable and focused on resolving the situation rather than trying to implement sketchy "bait and switch" tactics, which is what we had experienced with Service Plus. Whereas Service Plus was trying to convince us into spending over $1,500 in parts and labor to get a clean bill of health on our HVAC unit, Mowery charged us under $100 and performed an inspection, cleaning and tune up. I own service based companies in different industries and so it was easy to see the professionalism of one company (Mowery) over the unprofessional tactics of the other (Service Plus). Well done Mowery, keep up the good work! read more

We had a very old central air system that had been in our home since it was built. This year the system failed to operate and we needed a new one. I called several local companies, but we were very impressed with the thorough explanation of what needed to be done by Pete. They were there within a few days right at the scheduled time and completed the work in one day. The owner even stopped by to check on the progress of the work. Pete was also there before the work was started to make sure everything was going as planned. The air conditioner works perfectly and we are very happy with the service we received rom Mowery. This was an expensive project, but I feel they did quality work and will back their work. read more

I had been released from the hospital an upon returning home I found my furnace was not working. Called Mowery and they were there within the hour. I was not surprised that I needed a new unit the one I had was quite old. I felt as though the service man was very concerned about my situation and went straight to work installing a new furnace. I was pleased with his work and the fact that I had no mess to deal with after he had completed the job. I chose Mowery because several friends of mine have used them in the past and have said great things about the service. Price was right, service was excellent, and truly appreciated the fact that they did not waste any time to get me back up and running. read more

Mowery is not the first company that worked on our heating and cooling system in our now 10 year old house we built, but will be the company that will continue servicing our home in the future. They found what was wrong that others had missed, and found the thermostat did not need replacing in the basement zone as we thought, it had not been hard wired, but went out because of old batteries. The upstairs thermostat was toast. After asking what our needs were, and explaining the extended warranty with a Mowery product, we bought the lowest priced unit, which is awesome! Our home is now the most balanced with two zones, since we moved in. Thank you Mowery! Your techs are awesome! read more

I have been using Mowery Heating and Cooling for a number of years. I have always been greeted warmly when I've called for service. They have replaced my AC, water heater, and recently, my furnace. All service men have been friendly and helpful. Yesterday I needed to have a new valve replaced in my shower which required a lengthy repair. I also had a new water softener installed. John P. the plumber, was exceptional in explaining what needed to be done most efficiently. The tasks required him to work all day. He was thorough and very pleasant. Thank you, John, for your expertise and professionalism. read more

Had an issue with my drains. All the water I was running throughout the house was filling up my bathtub. After looking in my clean out it was clear the clog was outside. I called a couple places and as a single mom it really did come down to cost to have them come out and run drain cleaner. For $99 to clear my main line and to run a camera next week was the least expensive deal I could find. The tech, Lavon P, was kind and seems to have gotten rid of the clog. Plus he told me the work is warrantied for a year. I am satisfied with my service so far:) I will update if anything changes. read more

we called Mowery, Brownsburg , early today because our furnace was not working and the temperature outside was -9. As always they were very nice and told me they would send someone in the afternoon. just a little later in the morning they had a technician available to come early. The technician, Gish Sawyer was very polite and found the problem pretty quickly. our vents outside were buried under the snow. it was a quick and easy fix and Gish couldn't have been nicer! we appreciate everything Mowery does for us as long time customers.. we definitely recommend them and their technicians. read more

HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! I recently lost activity to my furnace. Although warmer weather is approaching, I grew quite concerned. Lucky for me, I contacted MOWERY HEATING and COOLING. They were at my house within an hour and went straight to work. The gentleman who came out walked me through the process of locating the "bad" part and made me feel as much of part of the solution as he was. Made me very comfortable. My furnace was up and running in no time and was VERY affordable and even more professional. I will use MOWERY from now on, and again, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND them. Excellent job!! read more

If you offered 10 stars still would not be good enough! So far my experience with this company has been outstanding. Their employees are knowledgeable, respectful, on time, etc. I first had a plumbing concern and Chris A was the plumber. He quickly diagnosed the problems and offered information and solutions. He patiently listened to all my plumbing concerns and dealt with each one and explained everything. The next interaction was with the dog crew. I need a French drain type of drainage from sump pit. Again same interaction. I highly recommend Mowery! read more

We noticed that our furnace was sounding louder than usual and that it was shutting on and off very irregularly. Mowery has serviced this furnace for us for 13 years now. They came out and evaluated the problem and had to order a part. They came out today and replaced the part and now our furnace is quietly running smooth and our home is warm. Kirk Wright was professional, very interesting to talk with and answered questions we had about a gas fireplace we are wanting to change out. We will continue to use their services and recommend them to others. read more

We were doing laundry early evening the day after Christmas. All of a sudden, water started bubbling up in the shower and in both toilets. Water was also running from the outdoor clean out. I called for help and Harry was here in about an hour. He ran the "snake" down our main line sewer and pulled out a big clump of tree roots. He ran it a second time to be sure that it was all clear. He was done in about 45 minutes. Now our toilets flush, the shower and the washing machine both drain properly and we are happy customers. Thank you , Mowery! read more
