At the strinke of 12 on Christmas morning I awoke to my roommate telling my basement was flooding. It turns out I had a water main break and it would need to be excavated to repair the sewer line. I called two plumbers tbat dah but came out but only seemed reasonable howwver he couldnt do it until Monday. That Monday the came out got the line cleared then provided me a quote. Fast forward I get the money, the got me schedule right away. They came out did the job and I can use my washer again. Now that dig is not pretty it leaves ur yard a mess but Im thankful that my line runs in the back of my home bc I wouldve had a cow had that mess had to be left in my front yard. Okay going off topic anyhow they guys were nice and they got it done quickly. I would definitely recommend them; at least get a quote. read more

They replaced the lower heating element on my water heater and now it's leaking out of the t&p valve because it was not properly refilled and they say I'm on my own and they're not responsible. I had trouble with this company when it initially installed out sewer system. The man professing to be the owner stole items from out residence while we were gone. He admitted that no one else had entered the house except him. That was two years ago. A month ago, the system began to back up and we learned, form another company, that the system was improperly installed. We contacted 317 Plumber and they sent out people who verified it was not installed correctly. The repair was made. Obviously, they had to unearth the backyard to make the repairs. I called yesterday to inquire about a date to landscape what was done to the backyard. The office manager, Julie, explained that landscaping it was not part of the agreement. When I explained that it was done when the system was initially installed, she became argumentative when saying, "Well, it's not a part of the agreement!" She even stated, "I'm not going to get into this with you!" It is bad enough that the job was not done correctly the first time. It is a sad reflection of unprofessionalism and lack of integrity to not do what is reasonable. Under no circumstances should anyone use this pitiful company, The job probably will not be done correctly and they will not do what is decent by completely repairing their damage. read more

Would not recommend. Spent almost $13k in October of 2021 to remove a sulfur smell from our well water. Danny, the owner, was super friendly and helpful, and recommended multiple items (hence the price) to fix our problem. Two and a half years later, the sulfur smell returns. We call and they send someone out to fix the problem with some new material. This material did nothing. Since they came out to fix the problem, our Iron Filter and Water Softener no longer work. We called them, and it appears since we are no longer spending thousands with them, they can't come out for over 2 weeks to fix what they broke. We spoke with actual water treatment companies, and all have said the equipment that Danny installed is not even close to the correct equipment to fix the solution and never will. So, now we have to spend almost $4k more to remove and replace with the correct equipment. read more

Unreasonably priced. I listened as he talked to his iPad about the estimates "proposal to turn the water back on" - I killed the main myself I can turn it back on myself. Told him I could remove the drywall he said no then proceeded to give me an estimate to remove it. 329 $ plus tax to cut a hole in the drywall( that I offered to do) and cap a copper pipe temporarily. I'd give no stars if we could. 317 is doing a project in our neighborhood and they've been completely unprofessional to work with. They pulled my husband aside to ask his personal opinion about the work because "it's clear your wife is unhappy but we want to hear from you." They have been speaking negatively about us to our neighbors, and some of them are now having similar experiences as we have. They left 7-8 foot deep holes un-filled with no barriers around them for 5 days with no updates. There were issues with our install that took longer than expected and they didn't communicate any of that with us, but left us without service for 5 hours, when we were told 1-2. They drove excavators over one of our landscaping beds. They quoted us additional work and when we pointed out an issue that would've not been to code, they cut that part of the work out, but refused to adjust the amount we paid until we pushed them aggressively. This is only some of what we dealt with. Maybe they're ok for a clogged toilet, but a project of this magnitude doesn't seem like a good fit for this company. It appears they're perfectly happy throwing everyone under the bus as long as they don't have to take responsibility for their own disorganization and unprofessionalism. read more

Danny and his folks are some of the nicest (and most knowledgeable) tradesmen we've had in our home. After purchasing a home with some hidden plumbing leaks (most missed on the inspection), we ended up with five different leaks hidden behind the walls - including a full kitchen insurance claim. Danny only charged us one trip fee, and fixed every single leak right the first time. This included taking apart shower equipment, 3 sump pumps, and a kitchen remodel. Danny worked with and around all the other contractors and insurance, got the right parts under warranty, and above all educated us the whole way. After going through a full remodel, he was one of the only contractors we walked away with having a true comfort level and trust with. That, and those two fellas are genuinely good, funny, honest guys. You can tell Danny genuinely cares about his customers (and his name with referrals) and just wants to have a good business doing what he likes. We had a leaking hot water heater earlier this year and called several plumbers to give us quotes on a tankless system. A couple came out to look at our situation and provide a quote on a tankless but the service tech from Indy Water Heater & Softener was THE ONLY ONE who checked the warranty on the water heater tank we had installed and let us know that the unit was still under warranty. These guys presented us the option of replacing the unit under warranty or a tankless option - so we chose to replace the unit under warranty of course! Everyone else was looking to close a tankless sale, so now when the time comes to actually install a tankless system I will be making one call - to Indy Water Heater & Softener. Just last week before Christmas our garbage disposal was leaking, I didn't call the guys I have a maintenance contract with, I called these guys. They were out quickly to replace and could not have been more professional or friendly. I would recommend these guys to anyone with a plumbing repair need or an installation. We had a brand new water softener installed in our home that didn't have the plumbing for one. The first place we called said we would have to find our own plumber. So.... I guess they didn't want our business?? So I googled and found Indy Water Heater and Softener and saw the great reviews. And they were spot-on. It was a great experience from start to finish. They did a great job getting all the plumbing installed, as well as the water softener, and didn't leave until they had gone over with me how to operate it and made sure I understood. We have a clogged sewer vent stack which has already been diagnosed and only needs repaired. The plumber showed up on site and said there's no issue with the vent stack but there is soap scum, "You just need to take care of your stuff." He was there for the service call fee and nothing more. He never intended to do any work. I cannot recommend such an unscrupulous business. read more

Our 18 year old water heater stopped working. They called me back immediately after missing my call. They came over first thing the next morning at the time they agreed to. They were able to give a quick quote, go pick up a new water heater, and install it all within the same day.
