After doing a ton of research, determined the systems Indy Soft Water offered were what I wanted. Their employees were incredibly professional and informative. So far this has been the best experience I have had with any company since moving to Indianapolis. Jessica was honest and knowledgeable when she did my consult; I had made up my mind I needed a larger, more expensive system (one they offered) and she took the time to explain the pros and cons of each system and actually saved me money. The service technician was courteous and efficient. He did quality work on the install and showed me how to check the system, shut off water, and replace the filter on my in sink drinking system. I am used to reverse osmosis water but find I like the taste of the filtered water that I opted for and appreciate the added health benefits. Can't speak highly enough of this company. This is honestly how I feel, but I could be slightly biased by the stressful experiences I have had with most other companies since moving here (such as my radon mitigation service, trying to get siding repaired, plumbing issues, etc.) Unlike these others, Indy Soft Water answers their phones, gives reliable information and accurate estimates, and is easy to work with. read more

I've never owned a water softener before. Growing up on well water in Indiana, I thought hard/bad water was something you just need to get used to!! This is not the case!! I was a little hesitant at first but only due to my prejudgements and lack of information about water softeners. After receiving prompt follow up, thorough information about ecosystem's available options, we decided to go for it! Beth and Jessica were both very helpful with scheduling and explaining. The installer did a wonderful job with installation and asked me how I wanted things very specifically. He performed quality work for a quality product and then rechecked the installation after. This sounds like it took forever, but he was only at the house 30-35mins total!! The soft water at the house is SO GREAT and 5star hotel quality! The showers and other items stay cleaner much longer, water spotting/hard water spots are greatly reduced, my hair/skin feels much less dry (even in winter!!), and the towels/clothes feel softer (maybe even cleaner??) to me now. This is a review of the purchase and install process but not the performance of the unit since that cannot be done until it has operated for a little while. After doing several days of research on water softeners, I checked out Ecowater. My initial contact was with Jessica. She helped me with info about their water softeners without over selling. She answered all my questions which were quite technical. We agreed on the best model for us, and she gave me their price. When Brandon came to our house (wearing mask) to check the install location and do a water test, he gave good technical information and provided a formal written quote. I accepted the offer after after about a week. The install was done by Jamila (wearing mask) and she knew her stuff. The install went as planned, she ran her tests, initiated the regeneration cycle to get the softner started. At close, Jamila explained what she had done, how the machine is controlled and cleaned up her work area. She did a highly professional installation. If the machine operates as well as the installation, I will be more than satisfied. At this point, 5 star. read more

BE AWARE OF THIS DANGEROUS RENTAL AGREEMENT CLAUSE! First of all, we spoke with Brandon, who was excellent in answering our questions and looking at our system. He was professional and seemed very knowledgable. We decided to rent instead of buy to make any equipment problems we had the renting company's problem. All went well until we received the rental agreement. There is a clause under the "REMEDIES" section that's reads: "Take possession of the Equipment, without demand or notice, wherever same may be located, without any court order or other process of law. Customer waives any and all damage occasioned by such taking of possession;" Anyone who would agree to this clause deserves what happens to them. I seriously doubt its legality, but don't want to test it either. I simply do not want to deal with a company that would ever expect a customer to agree to such a heinous possibility, although I'm sure most sign the contract not having read it. Be very aware of this clause. If it's in there, they CAN use it! This company is regrettably not a company we would ever choose to associate with. We bought elsewhere. read more

I was getting an error code on our water softener and so i called IndySoftWater to send out a technician. Clay took my call and suggested several things that could be causing it and probably took 10 min to help me try to correct without requiring a service charge. While this did not fix it, i was impressed that he was trying to save me the cost of a service call if possible. Who does that anymore? Because i did need the visit, he setup a visit for two days out and the tech showed up exactly on time and called on his way to let me know. Evan immediately recognized the small item that needed to be replaced (under warranty) and spent a total of 30 min on site cleaning and doing preventive maintenance and explaining the parts/process. There was no upselling, pressure to buy annual maintenance contract or any of the other annoying practices that seem to be the norm anymore. Just quick, friendly, efficient repairing of my water softener. I wish i could give them an even higher rating than 5 stars. read more

From the very beginning, my experience with this company has been absolutely exceptional. Clay was wonderful to work with in getting everything scheduled, and Brandon, who came out to test my water, was amazing. He took the time to walk me through all of my options, explain everything in detail, and make sure I understood exactly what would work best for my home. Austin, who completed my installation, was equally impressive. He was incredibly respectful of my home, took the time to walk me through everything he had done, explained how the system and regeneration cycle work, and even sent me pictures of the completed installation. Had a great experience with everyone at Indy soft water. I had called to get prices for a new water softner for our house. Being December it was not a good time for my family to buy a new softener so after talking to the sales rep and my family we opted to rent a water softner for the house. Its very reasonable at $25 a month with 2 year contract but the great thing is after the 2 years I can buy a brand new unit and they give me back 6 months of payments tords the new unit!! I definitely have recommended Indy soft water to my neighbors that are looking for a new system. Also the technician that came out to install the unit was great he even asked which sales rep came out to my house and when I told him he grind and said "ohh yea? Thats the owner!" From my initial touch point the communications team was extremely responsive, followed up nearly immediately, and was able to get the process moving quickly. After a quick consultation we were able to get install scheduled in just days (not weeks). Marc was the technician who provided our install, he provided great communication prior to arrival and followed all pandemic appropriate precautions - including masking, social distancing, shoe covers and a very clean work space throughout his time in our home. After our whole house softener leaked the manufacturer put me in touch with Clay at Indy Soft Water. Clay called and we arranged a time and date. He sent several follow up messages to keep me in the loop. On the day of repair l was sent a text with the repair specialists photograph for easy ID. Evan was actually ahead of schedule and called to confirm it was convenient to attend before the agreed slot. Upon arrival l was impressed. Evan is a credit to ISW. Smartly dressed with a clean vehicle. He was friendly and polite whilst remaining 100% professional. He explained what he was doing and why and completed a full inspection and water test. He showed me the fault and explained the remedy. When complete he sought my understanding of what he'd done and cleaned up everything. Just finishing up with a whole house renovation and therefore have had to deal with MANY different companies in the process. I found Indianapolis Soft Water because of their affiliation with Costco- and I trust Costco's outside vendors and knew they would backup any company they recommended and the price was on target. And I think they definitely got this one right! The best part was (after all the companies I had to babysit and watch over to make sure they did what they were supposed to) I could relax with this company, and know that I did not have to worry. I did have one small issue which was resolved quickly and perfectly. Our experience encompasses everything best about small family-owned businesses - pride in their work, attention to detail, phenomenal customer service. We exchanged email with Jessica about our questions and requested a follow-up phone call to discuss our specific situation. When I brought up concerns about our water source, Jessica pulled up the city's annual water report and went line by line. I am a detailed person so this worked very well for me. We made a plan based on the city water report, but their tech's onsite water test led us to tweak the plan a bit, which worked in our favor. Installation went smoothly. Very pleased with everything about the exerience, from our initial salesperson, to Austin who installed it, to Clay in the home office who helped us work through some very technical requests and questions on our situation. We spoke to a few other companies who tried to upsell us on products that didn't make sense at all for our situation, while at the same time not even using equipment that had the performance or the reliability we were looking for. They were able to come out within a few days to assess our problem and give an estimate for a solution (replacing our 20-year-old water softener they had installed when the home was built). Having already had another estimate, we proceeded with Indy Soft Water. Install was done a few days later. The tech (Evan S.) was very good with communication, friendly and helpful. There was no hard sell (went with basic option for our needs) and it was obvious we needed to replace. Only complaint was that the salt in the old system was removed and not left behind like they had initially said. All work was done on time and done by the same tech who did the initial assessment. I was having issues with my water and decided to install the carbon filter to clean things up a bit. While Brandon was checking things out he realized the water softener wasn't working either. They rebuilt it for me, installed the carbon filter and the RO system under the sink for drinking water all for a reasonable price. I appreciate how well they communicate about upcoming appointments and send a text with the technician's picture when they are about to arrive. Evan notified me when he was going to arrive for the install, worked quickly, explained how everything worked in detail and answered all my questions.
