Called 12 times. Reached a person only the first time, who immediately sent me to 'service', which was appropriate. However, no answer, then option to 'press 2 and leave a message'. However, it didn't shift and simply hung up. Repeated calls to all 3 Indianapolis area stores sent me to menu options. Never reached another person nor ever able to leave message for callback. Unfortunately I purchased a home with an Aqua Systems softener. It has an issue which resolves with bypassing the unit. But since I cannnot reach anyone over the course of several hours and 12 calls, addressing the issue on this softener won't be happening, and I'll have another brand installed. Likely EcoWater, but definitely not anything associated with Aqua Systems. Called Indy Soft Water, immediate answer and they are sending a technician to evaluate my system as well as install another system today, should I choose that route. read more

We had a reverse osmosis system that was badly in need of new filters. We also had a water flow issue. They got us the new filters and talked us through the replacement process. Our first try at water flow didn't work, but the service department talked us through additional steps that fixed the problem. read more

My wife and I bought a brand new house in Carmel, Indiana, and needed a water softener. Aqua Systems came highly recommended. There are several stores in our area. I visited the store, they came and about $2600 later we had a softener. I asked the installer how to change the amount of softening, and he gladly showed me. I wrote the procedure down...and later lost the paper. We needed to reduce the softening effect as we couldn't get our skin squeaky clean, only slimy clean. And the shower floor, with soap and über-soft water, was very slippery. The water was way too soft. So I called their technician...who told me several times that "it can't be changed. The water is either soft or not." He allegedly asked a "25-year employee" who "said the same thing, and he should know." I resorted to the internet and within 90 seconds was looking at a video that told me exactly how to make the change. And the video was from Aqua Systems HQ, just one among many telling how to make changes to the setup. If you use Aqua Systems for your next water softener, my strong advice to change the softness level is search online for help. Or find a different vendor. The softener is fine, the "tech support" is ... missing. read more

I was in a bind to get an R/O system set up before I moved into my house. I submitted a "find your answer" on their website and Jason responded quickly. I informed him of my situation and we got me on their schedule. During the installation day, I was kept up to date on when they would arrive and they were able to arrive well ahead of my original scheduled time, which worked so much better for me. Dakota was very wonderful with the install. I'm very happy with my R/O system. read more

We moved into a Fishers home built in the 50's that is on well water and had sat for several years before we moved in. The water was incredibly hard and iron-rich and was staining all the brand new sinks & toilets. We tried a brand new water softener without success, and had two other water companies come out to find a solution. Neither could, and the one that rhymes with Mulligan oddly refused to return our calls even though they'd already stopped by and knew we were fully ready to buy or lease anything that would fix the problem. We eventually gave Aqua Systems a call late one Thursday night. Jason returned our call before 9am the next day. He really seemed to know his stuff, but didn't pressure us into anything. Within 24 hours of calling we had an iron filter and softener ordered. We were able to lease them too, which was great for us as we don't plan to be at this location more than a couple of years. I really wish I had caught his name to mention him specifically, but our installer was also extremely knowledgeable and helpful. He went out of his way crawling around under the house fixing some plumbing problems we didn't even know about, let alone expect him to deal with. There was no change in our bill either. Our water is now perfectly clean and clear. You don't realize how important that is until you're denied it. We could not be more pleased. I highly recommend Aqua Systems. read more

Came in to get some salt. The manager helped me to figure out how many I needed and how to fill up my softener I inherited.

I have worked with this company for several years without an issue until this year. Their billing department is a confusing mess. After two phone calls and being told I did not owe them more money, I get another bill. I am keeping a paper trail now and sending email. All this after renting a softener system and reverse osmosis system and having them moved to my new location after selling my home. Buyer beware! read more

I've been meaning to write about Aqua Systems and warn people about this company. I own one of their systems. It has worked for 25+ years. I called Aqua Systems for a routine check. The tech came and spent less than 10 minutes here. Charge: $119. (I want that hourly rate!) No report, no note, nothing. I called the next day. After being transferred a couple of times, I spoke to the repair manager who said, "your resin is bad. It's too old to fix it. But we'll rent you or sell you a new one". Needless to say, I would NEVER recommend this company nor would I buy their product. I can't think of a better way to lose customers than charging $119 for 10 minutes of work. read more

UPDATE - After a bit of frustration working with several members at Aqua Systems, I am happy to report that prior issues that we had with our water softener and some damage that occurred as a result of the units failure have been resolved. Mike was instrumental in ensuring all our issues were corrected to our satisfaction and going above and beyond to make sure that we are happy with our new system and our faith was restored in Aqua Systems. There are a lot of great reviews for this company and we have come to realize why. read more

I would recommend to NEVER rent a water softener through Aqua Systems. This has been the WORST customer service/support experience I have ever had. After recently selling a house with a rented water softener, I contacted Aqua Systems to remove my credit card from the account so I would not be charged for a water softener I am not using or own. Month after month, I have been getting billed for something I do not have even after I no longer authorized auto pay, they pulled money from my account anyway. The customer service told me that it is MY FAULT for not having the new homeowners contact them and take over the payments. I gave Aqua Systems the names and numbers of the new owners and that was not good enough. I even requested that Aqua Systems remove the water softener from the house since I do not want to pay for something I do not own. Aqua Systems told me they couldn't do that without the homeowner's approval. I am now having to cancel my credit card in order for Aqua Systems to stop billing me for something I do not even own. Also, I have never received any invoices or receipts from Aqua Systems during the 3 years I rented from them. Who knows how much is actually owed on the water softener. Save yourself the trouble and headaches and find another business besides Aqua Systems. read more
