Tech was fast and knowledgeable.. Definitely recommend Cornwell. They did the job for only $125 where another plumber (Hope) wanted $750.

Every time the furnace…read moreswitched on, the enducer motor made a noticeable clicking noise as it drew in air through the roof jack. I was worried that the bearings were bad, so after 3.5 months of listening to it, I called to ask about possibly having bad bearings. Kirby sent out an employee to check it out. They replaced the enducer motor part, and it continued making the same noise. They replaced that one, and the noise continued. Robert Kirby came out and listened, and thought it might be the roof jack causing some air obstruction, so they replaced the roof jack. That made no difference. They wanted to charge me around $395 and I talked them down to the price back in October of around $345. This was before it was installed. To make a long story short, the enducer was replaced at least 2 times. There was no change in the noise. Over 3.5 months, they'd made 5-7 trips out to figure out the problem. Robert came out twice, one day with Steve, the rep from their supplier R.E. Mitchel Co., and they took the motor part apart and looked at it. Robert told me that Steve said that was the motor Nordine used in all sizes of their furnaces, and there was nothing they would do about it. I'd brought up possibly insulating it during the meeting. Robert knew what to use. They sent out an employee to insulate it, and it cut the noise in half. I wish they had a deeper understanding of the Nordine furnace up front. That's why I gave them 4 stars. They tried to figure it out and fix it. I would not have bought it had I known. The flange on the new roof jack leaves an inch of space with the slope of the roof. The gap has been stuffed full of silicone and will probably draw attention during an inspection when I sell the mobile home. I'm unsure if the motor bearings are being strained and will eventually give out. I've ended up spending 3.5 months with this problem on my mind. I have a furnace that has a defective or strained enducer motor. I appreciate that Robert promised me a free '26 fall inspection and '27 spring inspection to check on the motor. Although I wish we didn't have to worry about it. I was billed for the roof jack even though it was not the source of the problem. I told Eileen I'd split the cost with them. Her compromise has me paying $50 more than my half. I'm dissatisfied with that, as it was installed as a result of their misdiagnosis in the first place. Kirby Heating & Air was recommended to me by a friend who has retired from owning a commercial heating/air company. Kirby is a good company with a very qualified staff. I'm not happy with how my furnace purchase finally turned out, but I am grateful for the effort they made trying to make it right. Use Kirby Heating, but do not buy a Nordine product.

Early the next morning, I had a message from Adam B. Once I got to work, I returned the call and quickly described my issue and what I believed it to be. The first available appointment wasn't until Monday (it wasn't urgent, so I wasn't worried about going the weekend). I got my timeframe. I had a couple other appointments that day, so I ended up taking the day off so I could easily be available. I immediately liked that they told me who would be arriving - AND that was who arrived. I also liked that they use a customer portal that allows you to have some security if you pay online or to review your records. Christian arrived (there was one other person with him). It took him a couple minutes to diagnose the issue he believed it to be, and it took him not a lot longer to determine that diagnosis correct. He quoted the price, I agreed, and he got to work. After finishing the work, he determined the original issue I'd believed it to be wasn't quite needing to be addressed (but will be in the near future). We discussed options, including ways I could save a bit. Christian was personable and explained things in a way I could understand. The issue was likely caused by me, but he managed to avoid using the word "idiot" at any point. The repair was done in a timely manner. The price ended up being a bit lower than quoted. I appreciated his honesty as he very easily could have pointed me toward a repair not needing done yet. It also became obvious the last person I'd used had really only done half the job. Everything has worked beautifully since Christian finished. There are likely a couple more projects I'll tackle in the near future, and I won't hesitate to return to Grateful Plumber. The housecall was $59, but that was credited toward the repair once I decided to have them do the work. Friendly employees. Good follow-through. Fair pricing. Quality work. Problem solved. That's 5-star for me and another winner for Yelp's project feature.

I questioned them about the service fee. It does not include any service - They should call it an estimate fee. I had a handyman come out and he took out the stopper and cleaned the hair there. It works great. I wouldn't be disappointed if they just took 10 mins to clean out the hair. Jason L from 24-7 Plumbing stated they waived the $89 fee on his response to my review. I thought long and hard about leaving this review considering the owner seems to be somewhat…read morereactive in his responses, but figured I always use yelp to find the best of the best, and my fellow yelpers deserve to know my experience as well. So here we go. We had a toilet that wasn't filling in our rental. It was Sunday night of all times for this to happen and not something I could hold off until Monday unless my guest didn't use the toilet. So... I checked out yelp to find an emergency plumber in the area. I wasn't sure if it was the shut off valve that was leaking or the fill valve was defective. So, Yes, I could have gone to Home Depot to get the parts which would have totaled about $30 MAX. But, figured I'd get an expert in who could do it quickly. I checked yelp and saw that seriously 24/7 had some pretty good reviews, however several mentions to them being expensive. Like, obscenely expensive. I figured, Aside from the $159 emergency fee, how bad could it really be for parts that cheap? I called and the lady taking my call was pleasant and they got someone out about 1.5 hours later. The cost would be $159 plus any work to be done. The guys who came were friendly enough, and then they hit me with the cost. This is where the I almost fell over. They wanted $587 to replace the fill valve (nothing wrong with the water shut off). Or, they could replace the toilet for me for $1200? Are you actually kidding me? Seriously they were not. Since I already had $159 invested in this, a couple of hours of wait and a renter waiting for me, it didn't make sense for me to then head to Home Depot for my parts on a Sunday night and have it take any more time. For God sakes I could have gotten a whole toilet and a ring and replaced it myself for $150 if I had another hour. Seriously disgusted, I agreed to that price and in 10 minutes my problem was fixed. Oh great, it comes with a year warranty! Awesome, considering I could always replace it for $15 if i needed. (Looked up the exact part at any box store). Glad I have a functioning toilet but don't be like me and think to yourself "how bad can it actually be?"Because it will be worse. I am leaving this relationship feeling violated, but as a consumer you should know this business uses a predatory pricing scheme.
