The plumber fixed the issue, then encouraged us to consider purchasing a maintenance package, which would cut the price of that service call as well as future calls and would discount the cost of any repairs and supplies. Most importantly, he said, the company would come to our house three times a year to evaluate, maintain, and repair any issues with with plumbing and HVAC. We usually avoid warranty and service packages, so I wasn't sure whether my husband would agree to it. But, the plumber said he could set up the maintenance plan, then cancel it if my husband opposed the idea. We went ahead and purchased the maintenance plan. Today was the first maintenance visit, and the HVAC guy disassembled our furnace and outside AC unit, pointed out potential problems, and advised me on whether there were major issues or whether we could wait on replacement. He also replaced the filter on the furnace, going to the trouble of finding us a less expensive version of the usual model. He spent well over 2 hours working on and cleaning our units. The company seems very committed to good service. They call to confirm the appointment, show up when they say they will, and cover their shoes with these funny little slipper-things before they come in the house. The office also calls with a follow up survey and asks whether the technician arrived on time, covered his feet, etc. They only fault I could find was that I was expecting a plumbing evaluation today, not an HVAC. I don't know where that miscommunication happened, but it wasn't a big deal to me. I figured that Summers was a national company with franchises, because they're pretty slick with branding. As it turns out, they are local to central Indiana but have several branch offices.

Early the next morning, I had a message from Adam B. Once I got to work, I returned the call and quickly described my issue and what I believed it to be. The first available appointment wasn't until Monday (it wasn't urgent, so I wasn't worried about going the weekend). I got my timeframe. I had a couple other appointments that day, so I ended up taking the day off so I could easily be available. I immediately liked that they told me who would be arriving - AND that was who arrived. I also liked that they use a customer portal that allows you to have some security if you pay online or to review your records. Christian arrived (there was one other person with him). It took him a couple minutes to diagnose the issue he believed it to be, and it took him not a lot longer to determine that diagnosis correct. He quoted the price, I agreed, and he got to work. After finishing the work, he determined the original issue I'd believed it to be wasn't quite needing to be addressed (but will be in the near future). We discussed options, including ways I could save a bit. Christian was personable and explained things in a way I could understand. The issue was likely caused by me, but he managed to avoid using the word "idiot" at any point. The repair was done in a timely manner. The price ended up being a bit lower than quoted. I appreciated his honesty as he very easily could have pointed me toward a repair not needing done yet. It also became obvious the last person I'd used had really only done half the job. Everything has worked beautifully since Christian finished. There are likely a couple more projects I'll tackle in the near future, and I won't hesitate to return to Grateful Plumber. The housecall was $59, but that was credited toward the repair once I decided to have them do the work. Friendly employees. Good follow-through. Fair pricing. Quality work. Problem solved. That's 5-star for me and another winner for Yelp's project feature.

I called Plumbing Heating Paramedics and the dispatch girl made it happen on short notice and dispatched a plumber. Yes, the upstairs toilet was clogged beyond my level of patience that day. Matt arrived and got the job done. He was thorough and professional. Thank you for saving me from having to dig the auger out to unclog the toilet! The service call was a little salty at $147. Granted he arrived on short notice on Friday around 5pm. My time and patience are worth something. And that day I would have paid twice as much not to have to mess with it. I am an electrical and technology systems contractor with no patience to deal with plumbing issues. If you are in a jam, call these guys!

The technician had the part already in his hand, and it is a plug and play part, which may at most cost $5. This is horrible business practice, and I will no longer be doing business with Plumbing Heating Paramedics. This company promotes pulling a fast one on their customers, as Wayne the tech mentioned to me he knows the part is very inexpensive, yet still chooses to work for this company, and then was attempting to force his religeon on me by saying I would be finding Jesus some day. BEWARE of this company who trains their employees to follow this poor business practice.

As we had no idea who to call, we called one of our best friends, in Arcadia, and he immediately said, "Call Brian Hunter!" Then, he gave us Brian's phone number. Within 15 minutes, Brian and an assistant arrived. They traced where the leak was coming from. After removal of toilet in laundry room, just above the basement pipe/leak, cleaning out, then fully repairing all of the pipes connected to this, the leak stopped. A week later, we suddenly discovered another leak. This time, it was down a bit from the earlier leak. Brian once again arrived in about 15 minutes, and quickly discovered this particular leak was due to a broken sewer pipe, outdoors. As he does not do outdoor sewer repair, he referred us to a phenomenal person/company, who did all the repair for that issue. In the Spring, we will be doing some updates within our home for the plumbing. Hunter Plumbing will be the company called/hired to do the work. We HIGHLY recommend Hunter Plumbing!!!
