Im completely perplexed on the 5 stars. They were nice guys, but not worth the 850 bucks it took to move us out of our two bedroom apartment. They showed up with two guys, (precisely what they quoted me on what I would need) and talked us into adding another guy. Thinking this would speed things up, I agreed. Yet it took them 6 hours to move us. We had quite a few boxes but very little large furniture. The third guy was a very young man, and the first thing he did was inform me it was his first day. Great... They also had a tire blow out on the freeway which delayed us another 3 hours. I realize this was not their fault, but they had no means to change the tire (and I gather did not know how) so we waited while they had to call in road side assistance. The two movers that helped me today did a great job. They were on time and finished at the time they estimated they would. I asked to wrap in plastic my furniture and they did so in a great way. I did not have to worry at all since they did a fantastic job. They follow instructions and don't give you an attitude. I'd definitely recommend them as they provide a great service at a reasonable cost. My only advice is to do call them before hand to confirm the time. I scheduled my appointment via e-mail for 11 am and the movers called me at 8 am saying they were on their way. I was lucky to get my landlord reserve the elevators at a different time than I had originally asked. read more

Had to move in Jan and went with Movable because of the good Yelp! reviews. Very glad that we did. Alex and his crew came and got to work right away. The weather was absolutely horrible. This was the Sunday the Seahawks played the Saints in torrential rains. Despite the bad weather, they got everything packed - including a foam, king-sized, mattress that was an absolute beast. When we got to our new, 4-story townhome, the king sized mattress wouldn't fit up the stairwell. The movers left it in the dining room and kept moving other stuff. I sat there and worried for the next hour thinking that they would not be able to get it up. Oh, ye of little faith! These 3 dudes folded the mattress in half, tied it down with ratchet clamps, and lugged the thing up the stairs. I stood there with my jaw on the floor. Let me repeat: THEY FOLDED A 200 lb, KING-SIZE MATTRESS LIKE A TACO AND MOVED IT UP TWO FLIGHTS OF STAIRS! We tipped well, thanked our lucky stars that these guys were professionals, and cursed our bad luck that torrential rains decided to come on our moving day. Bullet points! 1. Fair price - no haggling. I think it cost us about $500. We tipped $40 per mover on top of this ($80). 2. Everything was padded and wrapped thoroughly. Nothing was broken when we unpacked at the new place. They took better care of our things than we would have. 3. Alex is the "manager." He comes in first, assesses your stuff, does some paperwork, then I swear he just sits in the van and watches movies on his iPad. The other two guys do all the work. Alex will help when something really, REALLY needs a 3rd person. He's a great guy though. I just make this point cause I thought it was funny. 4. The two other guys spoke limited English. Unless you're up on your Russian, Alex is your translator. We found it pretty easy to communicate, and they were very courteous gents. 5. By God, please tip those movers well. I did a LOT of research on movers before hiring anyone. Read countless Yelp reviews. got multiple bids via email, etc. These guys get good Yelp reviews because they give a good experience- give them a try. Hired these guys in May of 2014 to move a few heavy things from our old condo to our new house (couch, desks, filing cabinet, mattress). Paul responded quickly via email to my request for an estimate. Price was reasonable (hourly + trip fee) as was the minimum hour requirement. They were able to accommodate us on the weekend at no additional cost unlike some of the other moving companies which was a plus for us as we both work during the week. The day of our move the movers showed up EXACTLY on time. They worked quickly but carefully. None of our items were damaged. None of our walls were scraped or scratched. They did a perfect job for a reasonable rate- overall we made the right decision to go with these guys and I would use them again for my next move. We called this company 6 weeks before our move to schedule. Their quoted price was a lot lower than other companies we called, for a large truck and 3 movers. They called me a few days later and said they were on their way but they were running late. They had mixed up the date we were moving by being a full month early. I told them this and they said they would reschedule for the correct date. They showed up on the actual date of our move, with a small truck and 2 movers. They loaded as much as they could get into the truck and it was only about 1/2 to 3/4 of our belongings. I had told them we needed a truck for a 5-bedroom house and outside furniture, even though we only had a 2 bedroom apartment (because we do have a few pieces of larger furniture). By the time they got to the new place and unloaded, it was near the end of the work day -- they offered to go back and get the rest, but it would have added another 6 or so hours, so we declined and ended up having to make arrangements with our old place to extend our move-out date. We finally got everything moved using friends and their vehicles over the next 3 days. They DID move all the furniture and boxes to where I wanted them. They were polite and efficient. They did break several large pictures. They refused to move our TV, our computers or any other electronics. They also refused to move a large plant, even after the person I called said they would do so. I paid cash and ended up paying even less than the quoted amount. because they give a discount for cash. read more

Like many of the other similar reviews, these guys arrived on time, worked quickly after assessing composition of our stuff. They were careful in loading most of our things in about 3 hrs including numerous boxes that we pre-packed. Dimetri and his partner headed out just before we did with a loaded car on a 3 hr trip - they wasted no time......arriving within 10-15 min of us! Awesome moving team! I had 2 movers and 1 truck move my belongings from a 10X5 storage unit. They called ahead before arriving to confirm my address and came on time. They were very quick, efficient and careful with my things. Rates are incredible reasonable and there is a 3 hour minimum. They were able to move all my things within 3 hours and asked if they could help me with anything else since they had time. Superb customer service, nice and very professional. You can tell that they are good at what they do since they could navigate the truck smoothly and work my mattress around the elevator corners easily. Only thing I would have asked them to do in hindsight was to place mats on the floors. I had new floors down and didn't think to protect them but luckily, the floors are pretty scrath resistant. As a plus, they do a weekday moving discount of 10% between Monday and Thursday. If you move outside of rush hour traffic times, it'll be a breeze. Will definitely use these guys again if I plan another move. Recommedning them to a friend who is moving soon. read more

We utilized the labor-only services for our recent move to Bellevue and were pleased with how fast the whole process went. The guys were available two hours before their scheduled time which was perfect, as our truck had just arrived and we were on a time crunch to get it off the property. They were able to get everything into our apartment in less than an hour. I can see where this may be a hit or miss service depending on which guys are sent over, but our personal experience was excellent. I can only vouch for the labor services, but I imagine that their full service would be just as good. read more

I will definitely use Movable again! I had a few big pieces of furniture that needed to be moved to two different locations this past week. Given that there was a few pieces to move and that the destinations were all within a 5-mile radius, they were gracious to lower the time minimum to 2 hours. Communication over email with Paul was good; he was very responsive and provided a confirmation number when the move was booked. The total cost was very reasonable, especially because the travel cost is a flat fee. Also, it was great to get a 5% discount for paying in cash. I ended up paying the full amount in cash, using the 5% discount amount as the tip because the guys did a great job. On the day of the move, Cameron and his partner (didn't catch his name) showed up an hour early. They called and let us know that they could start earlier or wait an hour for our agreed start time. We decided to start early. The guys came in, assessed our furniture, moved their truck into position, carefully wrapped all our furniture in plastic, and efficiently moved everything into the truck. They were conscientious in securing everything well in the truck. Unloading the furniture at the destinations was uneventful and also well done. Edit: I changed my mind and decided not to dock them one star. There's some minor customer service improvements that they could make, but overall I really had no issues with them and Movable is seriously the best movers I've ever worked with. Anyway, it would've been nice to get an official quote sheet (rather than having the final numbers buried in the multiple emails that were exchanged). Additionally, I would've liked to get a call a few days before the move to confirm the details. Not huge deals, but I think these things would elevate the customer experience. read more

They are fast and cheap. I called almost all top 20 movers per Yelp and this guy has the most reasonable rate. They finished our 1,600 sq.ft house in 3.5 hrs which we were impressed how fast they are: not wasting any time at all. As for the cons, they could have been more careful or pay attention to details. We had quite a few scratches on our furniture and wall afterward. Another thing that surprised me was when i asked them to use plastic to cover carpet walk way area prior to moving. they said they didn't have any. They took off shoes in & out of the house instead. They are awesome! Booked 2 movers and 1 truck more than one week earlier than moving day. They called in advance to check if we could accept 3 movers. It turned out a great idea to have 3 movers, since anyone would not be waiting when another one is wraping, etc., which makes the process quite smooth and effecient. And the hourly rate of 3 movers is only $10 more than that of 2 movers. They completed the whole process in 3 hours, and asked extra 15 minutes for the returning to the office. which is fair I think. No hidden fee or cost. They made the whole process very clean, smooth and efficient, and we even didn't need to do anything, which totally changed our impression on moving day (messy, tired, sweaty, etc.). Excellent moving service. They arrived on time (actually an hour early but they called first to make sure it was ok) and on budget to help me move from Kirkland to Bellevue. I went through countless reviews of other movers before deciding on Movable. This is the company you should land on too, you wont be disappointed. We had a few struggles with my move, but only because I didn't plan it well. For example I didn't know that I had to get a "right away permit" to park in the street because my building doesn't have a loading bay so we had to park in a lot two corners away and they still managed to get the job done on time! The only things that I would recommend to them is to come with the paperwork prefilled and allow me to make corrections if needed or switch to a digital system like a surface or ipad. When you submit for an estimate you give them all the information in regards to source and destination address, then when they arrive they ask you to fill it out again on paper. The second thing I would recommend is that they mention in the estimate that cash is preferred. Otherwise they'll pass the 2.5% fee from the asshole credit card companies Dont be an asshole and don't forget to tip! This is the 2nd time we used Movable for our move. These guys are really fast and efficient! The move was completed faster than expected! We moved many times and used different companies before - however, we felt that Movable is the best! Being a clean freak, I am really happy that they bothered to bag our queen sized mattress in plastic during the move. They also made the effort to line the floors of our new home with some protective mat so that it does not get too dirty/scratched. Though they were 1/2 hour late (took one star away because of this), they made up for it by working efficiently :) Also, when emailing for quotes or questions, the response time is VERY fast! I was skeptical of using movers for my move as I always hired a U-haul and some labor to help me move. I wanted to try one this time and got quote from multiple movers and Movable gave me best quote and to my surprise, the move has been so hassle free and so easy compared to doing move myself. It did cost me a bit more than what I would have incurred by doing move myself, but every penny of it is worth it as I didn't have to drive a big truck. Movable did a great job in securing all my stuff during the move. They did bubble wrap all the fragile items to de-risk them during the the move. I did pack all the items into boxes myself before movable came in to move. But my kid's bunk bed didn't come out of my apartment. Movable did dis-assemble like a breeze and took it to my destination. Mark and Roman helped us move from our condo to a townhouse. They arrived on-time, communicated well, and were careful with our items. They texted us when they were about to arrive, showed up 10 minutes prior to scheduled time, and were professional. They spent the time to wrap our larger items for protection and professionally stacked the truck they brought. The trailer was more than sufficient for our small, 800 square foot condo. My biggest regret is not being more present during the whole moving process to request better handling of our furniture. There is a mediocre standard for wrapping furniture, and now several of our cabinet drawers are misaligned and scuffed up. Never let your movers wrap furniture without blankets to add extra protection-- it's worth the extra hours on the job. It is also more cost-effective to have at least three movers on a team because the progress of moving is very slow if one of two movers is busy unwrapping furniture while the other is standing idle, waiting for the other person to help lift more heavy items. read more

We just moved this past weekend and previously we just had friends and a U-Haul. since we had a lot of furniture this time around and most of our friends had kids, we figured it is easier to hire movers. Moveable was fast at responding to our inquiry and address questions and giving us pricing which seemed more than fair. days leading up to the move I was anxious after hearing horror stories from other people's move. the crew showed up on time and I was ready to jump in the trenches and help. Mark (lead guy) could tell I had some anxiety and he told me to relax and not to worry and they would take care of everything and boy did they. it took just under 7 hours for two guys to empty out a 1,000SF condo and load up a 10'x10' storage unit and offload it into the new house 26miles away. We had no door/wall dings and nothing was broken. Mark and his partner was cheerful, friendly, clean and respectful of the belongings.
